Chapter 159 The Girl

In this eerily quiet silence, he suddenly heard a weak groan, a soft, gentle voice. This unusual sound added to the mystery of the entire hospital, and Qin Ze instinctively followed the sound to a ward.

The ward was empty; the bed was neatly made, but the atmosphere was cold and desolate. Just as Qin Ze was about to leave, a chill ran through him, and a slight noise came from behind him.

He turned around quickly, and a little girl suddenly appeared before him. Her eyes gleamed with an eerie excitement. She looked ordinary, but in this strange environment, her presence felt unusual.

"Damn! In this environment, my five senses are completely blocked. What a terrifying spatial illusion!"

Qin Ze frowned.

The little girl's appearance was striking. She wore a tattered hospital gown, the clothes worn and tattered, as if etched with the marks of time. The gown's color was no longer vibrant, but rather a pale gray.

Her hair was a mess, falling loosely over her shoulders, as if it hadn't been combed in a long time. The black strands were tangled and disheveled, giving it an unusually messy appearance. There seemed to be some dust in her hair, making her look even more aloof.

She held several glass marbles in her hands, which shimmered faintly in the dim light. Each marble emitted a soft color, like a tiny gemstone, captivating the eye with its beauty.

The little girl stood there, her eyes both excited and mysterious, as if she knew some secrets but was unwilling to reveal them easily.

The little girl's voice was clear and innocent as she asked Qin Ze, "Big brother, can you play with me?"

Qin Ze frowned slightly. He felt something was unusual about the hospital and the little girl, but he still agreed: "What do you want to play?"

The little girl giggled and pulled out a spherical object to show Qin Ze: "Let's play marbles! Look!"

Upon closer inspection, Qin Ze was shocked. These were not ordinary marbles at all, but human eyeballs! What was even more unsettling was that these eyeballs seemed to retain some consciousness; their eyes were filled with resentment and pain, staring intently at Qin Ze, as if silently recounting their bitterness and tragic fate.

Qin Ze frowned. He was about to subdue the little girl when she skipped away with a giggle, running deeper into the hospital. He quickly gave chase, his steps hurried as he followed her.

The second-floor corridor was desolate, with the dim green emergency lights casting eerie shadows. Just as Qin Ze reached the second floor, the little girl's figure suddenly turned a corner and disappeared from his sight.

On the second floor of the hospital at night, the consultation room doors were tightly closed, and the room appeared deserted. Moonlight streamed through the windows, casting long, dark shadows on the floor, as if imbuing the consultation room with a profound and mysterious atmosphere.

The room was filled with a musty, stale medical smell; the faint chemical odor was oppressive. The hospital beds were neatly arranged, the sheets yellowed and covered in dust, clearly having not been changed in a long time.

The dim overhead light illuminated only part of the room, leaving the rest shrouded in darkness. Medical posters and faded photographs hung on the walls of the consultation room, bearing the deep marks of time.

The medical equipment and instruments in the corner of the room flickered with a faint light, their presence adding to the eerie atmosphere. The entire examination room was filled with a suffocating silence, utterly sinister, as if concealing endless mysteries and dangers.

Qin Ze carefully searched for clues on the second floor.

Suddenly, the silence was shattered by the sound of something falling to the ground.

Qin Ze's figure vanished instantly, crossing the threshold of the room. The sight before him made him freeze in shock.

In the room, a bottle lay silently on the floor, like a strange, luminous pearl. But even more striking was a note pulled from the bottle, bearing a simple yet warning: "Get out of here immediately!!! Run!!!!"

Qin Ze frowned. He quickly squatted down and carefully picked up the bottle, noticing that there was no label or any marking on it, suggesting that it had been discarded carelessly.

Qin Ze crumpled the note in his hand into pieces; he had no intention of running away because of this simple warning. A mocking smile appeared on his lips as he confidently said, "Playing tricks! I'll see what happens if I don't run away!"

Deciding to continue, Qin Ze quickly reached the stairwell and began heading towards the third floor. However, the moment he stepped onto the third floor, a dark figure suddenly flashed out from a bedroom in the distance, darting across the corridor like lightning. Qin Ze frowned and followed without hesitation.

The shadowy figure eventually broke into a room, and Qin Ze quickly followed, discovering that the room was filled with some chilling exhibits. In one corner of the room, rows of glass cabinets displayed various human specimens. Some specimens were well-preserved, while others were damaged and decaying. The specimens were all different, including both male and female bodies.

Qin Ze carefully searched the eerie room, and gradually his gaze settled on a corner where a thin figure was trembling. Qin Ze sneered and said confidently, "Let's see where you can run to!"

He strode confidently toward the trembling figure, reaching out to grab it. But just as he was about to touch it, a heart-wrenching scream rang out: "Ah!!!! Don't grab me, and don't eat me!!!!"
