Her father didn't love her, her mother didn't dote on her, and her sister-in-law bullied her in every possible way. The first thing Nan Zhi did after transmigrating was to get rid of this c...
The next day, Nanzhi woke up with dark circles under her eyes.
He put on his clothes, opened the door, and went downstairs, only to bump into Liu Dezhi.
"Old Liu, what happened? Why are you making such a fuss?" Nanzhi rubbed her eyes.
"Old Liu?" Liu Dezhi realized that it was his master calling him.
"Master, our restaurant has opened, and we've had more customers than usual."
Nanzhi: "It's not even lunchtime yet, why are there so many people?"
The waiters downstairs were almost overwhelmed, while people were still coming in from outside.
“Master, the dishes in our restaurant are affordable and inexpensive. People from all around come in to try them in the mornings.”
"Let me look at the menu."
Liu Dezhi told his men to bring up the menu.
Nanzhi nodded in agreement; Liu Dezhi was indeed a shrewd businessman.
The cheapest options are mostly vegetarian dishes, and they're easy to prepare—mostly home-style cooking methods.
Liu Dezhi continued, “The people who come for breakfast in the morning are all ordinary people, so the first floor is used to entertain them. The second floor is usually for people who order food in advance and reserve a table. The third floor is where the young masters and ladies of wealthy families entertain guests, and there are private rooms. The fourth floor is for accommodation, and the fifth floor is your room, Master.”
Nan Zhi nodded. Liu Dezhi had arranged it very well; each layer had its own purpose.
There are three rooms on the fifth floor. They used to be for guests to stay in, but now the restaurant has changed owners. In case of any unforeseen circumstances, and to prevent those people from disturbing the owners, the other two rooms have to be left empty.
Nanzhi: "Move my room to the backyard, and these rooms will be used to entertain guests."
Liu Dezhi: "Master, those houses in the backyard are old and dilapidated, and I'm afraid they're uninhabitable."
"Then tear it down and rebuild it."
Nan Zhi: "I will give you the blueprints later. The restaurant will be closed and rebuilt tomorrow."
Liu Dezhi frowned: "Master, if the restaurant closes down, it will lose a lot of customers, and the renovation will take a lot of time."
Nan Zhi is determined to expand the restaurant, so time is not an issue for her.
As the saying goes, money makes the world go round, so the most important thing now is money.
"You don't need to worry about that. Once I get the money, these problems will naturally be solved."
Around noon, a luxurious carriage stopped in front of the restaurant.
A pretty young woman stepped out of the carriage, followed by a young man dressed in a moon-white robe.
The two were dressed in luxurious clothes, and their demeanor was beyond that of ordinary people.
Liu Dezhi immediately came out to greet him personally.
"Young master, young lady, please come in."
"Brother, this restaurant is so ordinary, why did Sister Feiyan recommend us to come here?" She pouted, clearly dissatisfied with the environment.
The boy said helplessly, "Wuyou, be quiet, and don't forget why you came here."
The young woman suppressed her discomfort and stepped into the restaurant.
The first floor was full of ordinary people, which made the young girl increasingly dissatisfied.
Liu Dezhi: "I wonder if you two have already booked rooms or made appointments?"
The young man was gentle and refined, and said softly, "Song Xian from the Song Family Pharmacy has reserved a room."
"So that's how it is. Please follow me, both of you."
Liu Dezhi lifted his shirt and climbed up step by step.
"Brother, look at this fat guy." Pei Wuyou followed behind, chuckling to himself.
Pei Nanqing frowned and warned in a low voice, "Don't be rude."
Pei Wuyou had no choice but to shut his mouth in frustration.
Liu Dezhi led the two to a private room on the third floor and then instructed his servants to entertain them.
The back-and-forth trip was too strenuous, and Liu Dezhi's body simply couldn't handle it.
“You, come here.” Pei Wuyou pointed at Liu Dezhi.
People who intended to leave ended up coming back.
"Is there anything else you need, Miss?"
Pei Wuyou sat casually on the stool: "I heard you have some spirit rabbits here. Bring them all up for me later."
Liu Dezhi wiped the sweat from his brow. "Miss, our restaurant has a limited supply of spirit rabbits. We only sell a few each day, and you have to make a reservation in advance."
"I don't care, get him here, or I'll smash this place up."
Hearing his younger sister becoming increasingly audacious, Pei Nanqing scolded, "Sit down! This isn't the capital; you can't shout like that here. If you keep this up, you're going back!"
Upon hearing this, Liu Dezhi was shocked to learn that these two were from the capital. He quickly gave a wink to the person next to him.
Soon after, Nam Gyi arrived.
This private room was booked by Song Xian, so here are the people inside.
"I wonder what dissatisfaction you two have; I am the manager of the restaurant," she said, glancing at Liu Dezhi, who was bowing to the side. "If you can't serve them properly, why don't you go and reflect on your actions?"
Having received permission, Liu Dezhi quickly got up and went out.
Pei Nanqing: "Please forgive my rudeness and impetuosity."
Nanzhi nodded, judging from their clothes that they were quite wealthy.
Nanzhi already imagined the gleaming silver dollars beckoning to her.
"This must be your first time here, so it's perfectly normal that you're not very familiar with our shop. Don't worry, considering this young master's understanding nature, we're willing to break our rules and let you try something new."
Pei Wuyou then humbled himself and sat back down in his chair.
Nanzhi straightened her clothes and sat down opposite them.
Seeing her sit down, Pei Wuyou, who was full of anger, said irritably, "What are you doing sitting here? We didn't invite you."
Nan Zhi: "Aren't you two here to buy medicine?"
Pei Nanqing immediately stood up: "So it's Miss Nan. Please excuse my rudeness. I am Pei Nanqing, and this is my younger sister, Pei Wuyou."
Nan Zhi: "Young Master Pei, please have a seat. Once Manager Song arrives, we can start discussing medicinal herbs."
A short while later, Song Xian arrived carrying his medicine box.
After exchanging greetings, most of the dishes had been served.
