"Are you crazy?!" the mother shouted, slapping him across the face.

Lin Chuan slapped his mother across the face.

My mother's face was swollen.

"You brat, let me tell you, I won't allow you to misbehave. You need to know how bad the security is in China right now. If you dare to cause trouble, your name will be blacklisted!" the mother said hurriedly.

"So what if my name is on the blacklist?" Lin Chuan grinned and said, "Does the Dragon Kingdom have no law? So many people have kidnapped me, am I just supposed to stand by and watch them kill my brothers?"

"You..." Lin Chuan interrupted his mother.

"You're my mother, you're my mother! You can't harm my friends! They're not bad people!" Lin Chuan said angrily.

"You knew they weren't bad people, yet you ran to save them?" the mother yelled. "Are you crazy? I think you're the crazy one!"

"I'm not crazy!" Lin Chuan said, then ran outside, dialing a phone as he ran.

"Hello." Yang Xiaofei's cold voice came from the other end of the phone.

"Xiaofei, where are you now?" Lin Chuan asked hurriedly.

"At the hospital!" Yang Xiaofei replied succinctly.

"I'm coming right away!" Lin Chuan hung up the phone.

"You brat, if you dare go, I'll break your legs!" the mother roared.

"I'm going to check on the situation, don't stop me." Lin Chuan said this and rushed out the door.

Lin Chuan hailed a taxi and headed towards Yang Xiaofei's clinic.

Soon, Lin Chuan arrived outside Yang Xiaofei's clinic.

Yang Xiaofei was working on a case when she heard a knock on the door, so she looked up.

She noticed Lin Chuan standing outside the clinic, and her expression immediately turned grim.

Lin Chuan hurriedly ran inside and closed the door.

"Sister Xiaofei," Lin Chuan said with a smile.

"What are you doing here?" Yang Xiaofei frowned and said, "Get out, leave my clinic immediately!"

"I know you're worried about me, but I'm not a child anymore. I can protect myself," Lin Chuan said hurriedly.

"I don't care if you're a child or not, get out of here right now!" Yang Xiaofei shouted.

Lin Chuan didn't leave, but instead walked to the chair in front of the table and sat down.

"Hey, what are you doing?" Yang Xiaofei's eyes widened.

"I'm waiting for you!" Lin Chuan said with a grin.

"You..." Yang Xiaofei suddenly became furious. She gritted her teeth and said, "I'm giving you one last chance. Get out of here right now!"

"Are you sure you want me to leave immediately?" Lin Chuan asked with a smile.

"Are you going to stay here?" Yang Xiaofei asked through gritted teeth.

"Of course I'm staying here!" Lin Chuan said without hesitation. "Sister Xiaofei, can you really bear to see me get into trouble?"

"I..." Yang Xiaofei gritted her teeth, but remained silent.

She didn't know how to refute Lin Chuan, because he was right; if something happened to Lin Chuan, she would likely be in trouble too. Therefore, she had to save Lin Chuan, otherwise, the consequences would be dire.

"Don't worry, this mission isn't as dangerous as you think," Lin Chuan said with a smile. "Once we catch these kidnappers, we'll be able to solve a lot of big cases. Don't you think my contribution will be even greater?"

"Don't even think about getting a share of the profits," Yang Xiaofei glared at him and said, "Let me tell you, as long as you catch those kidnappers, you'll have done a great service."

Lin Chuan grinned.

Yang Xiaofei quickly relented. After all, this mission was of paramount importance and could not afford to fail. She simply couldn't refuse such a huge reward; if she missed this opportunity, she might never have another chance. Therefore, Yang Xiaofei decided to involve Lin Chuan in this operation. At the very least, she wanted Lin Chuan to understand that the Chinese government was not to be trifled with, and without sufficient evidence, the kidnappers would not escape their culpability.

After Lin Chuan left, Yang Xiaofei told her boss about it, and her boss quickly summoned Lin Chuan to the office.

"President Yang," Lin Chuan greeted respectfully.

"Lin Chuan, you'll be in charge of this mission," Yang Xiaofei said with a calm smile. "This is a golden opportunity for us."

"Okay!" Lin Chuan nodded hurriedly.

"Also, you should delegate the task to a few of your friends," Yang Xiaofei continued. "You don't need to come along this time, to avoid any unforeseen complications. Furthermore, I asked you to take a few people with you so that you can assign your friends to special positions where they can be of use."

"Mr. Yang, my mission this time is quite important. If I leave, I'm afraid..." Lin Chuan hurriedly said, "Besides, I have several female classmates over there, and they can't do without me."

"Those girls?" Yang Xiaofei was taken aback and asked, "Aren't you supposed to be a womanizer? How come you have several female classmates? You're not thinking of hitting on them, are you?"
