Burning the琉璃盏 of the Heavenly Dao, he was thrown into small worlds to serve his punishment. Holding a grudge, the little lamp wick decides that since the Heavenly Dao has abandoned him, he will cl...
Chen Yi asked impatiently, "Should we let them leave?"
Yu Bai shook his head: "Letting him go is a hidden danger. As long as he is not bitten by a zombie and develops a fever and mutation, it will be a good thing for us. It will make collecting supplies and finding our way much easier later on."
Actually, he was just trying to comfort his teammates.
Even with Qin Zhi present, they still need to be extremely vigilant.
Relaxing in the apocalypse is a disrespect for life. In moments of despair, you can see the unity of humanity, but you can also see its ugliness. They don't have a God's-eye view; to protect themselves, they must be independent and strong.
I am not dependent on anyone.
"I'll be carrying a box of compressed biscuits later. I won't be eating with you guys to minimize contact and reduce your chances of getting infected."
Kong Congyu frowned. "Why do you insist on taking this risk?"
"It would be more dangerous for him to leave."
Kong Congyu stopped speaking.
Once Yu Bai makes a decision, it's a waste of breath to persuade him otherwise.
Everyone knows he values talent. Even though four members of the team haven't awakened their special abilities yet, each of them is capable of taking on ten opponents on their own. They have extremely fast reaction speeds, and when they coordinate their attacks, every move they make is a trump card.
And so Yu Bai became Qin Zhi's driver.
"Baby, what do you want to eat? Human flesh?" Qin Zhi held his arm to the little zombie's mouth so it would be easier for him to bite. "Are you hungry? Have a bite."
Yu Bai, sitting in the driver's seat, felt a chill run down his spine. "You really want to become a zombie that badly?"
No wonder they were afraid; he was a little intimidated himself.
Even a boy is still a zombie.
Feed them raw meat.
I still have to feed them myself.
Are they afraid of not turning into zombies?
Yu Bai now has a feeling of being "a piece of mud that can't be plastered on a wall." A sense of déjà vu.
Yu Bai tried to balance things out, protecting both his teammates and Qin Zhi, but Qin Zhi ended up dying on his own. A zombie bit him, and Yu Bai felt a chill run down his spine just thinking about it.
Yu Bai glanced out of the corner of his eye and suddenly met a pair of cold, unfathomable eyes in the rearview mirror. He trembled and was startled.
"If he wants to eat human flesh, why don't you tell him to hold back? Go to the city tomorrow and see if there are any dead bodies before you let him eat it, okay?"
Every word she utters challenges her own bottom line; who raises zombies?
What normal person would raise zombies?
Why would anyone raise zombies?
Those are zombies!
Zombies!
Yu Bai was also trying to convince himself.
"Why don't you eat dead people?" Qin Zhi asked, displeased.
"Big brother, he's a zombie!"
Yu Bai's eyes widened slightly, a hint of anger in them. This was too mindless pampering! Radicals wouldn't see this as sweet or love-struck; they would curse, calling the other person mentally ill, an idiot, and stupid!
Idiots are the most despicable things in the world!
Yu Bai was so angry he wanted to grind his teeth.
Qin Zhi saw his hair standing on end, and he didn't know if it was from fear or anger, but he was still a decent person.
The man explained calmly, "He's not infected. I've been bitten and scratched by him, but I haven't mutated at all."
A sentence subconsciously popped into Yu Bai's mind:
Survivorship bias.
“Just because you haven’t mutated doesn’t mean he’s not dangerous. I’ve been in the medical ward before, and he’s already infected many people.”
Qin Zhi frowned. Impossible.
If that little fool could infect people, he would have become a zombie long ago.
"I'm willing to get infected. If you're afraid, then leave. Don't beg me to stay," Qin Zhi said unhappily.
The baby was covered in sweat.
Take off your coat and use a wet tissue to wipe the little zombie's sweat.
She put her hand to his mouth again.
His healing ability is quite unique. He's already at the end of the second tier and has reached the third tier, but he hasn't been able to go up. However, he can regenerate. If a piece of flesh is bitten off, as long as it's bandaged in time, it can heal in about ten minutes.
Qin Zhi had no trump cards.
They wouldn't put their arm near the little zombie's mouth.
Although he was willing to feed his wife meat, he was going to die. Who would protect the little fool in the future?
However, he didn't explain any of this to Yu Bai.
I'm too lazy to waste my breath.
A man who's more talkative than a gossip.
The little zombie wouldn't eat raw meat, nor would it bite Qin Zhi's arm. Its stomach kept rumbling, but it just couldn't swallow. It felt like its throat was blocked, making it uncomfortable.
Nestled in Qin Zhi's arms, she sobbed softly, her voice barely audible, reaching his ears, and Qin Zhi felt a pang of heartache.
Every time I squeeze the little zombie's wrist, it doesn't feel as fleshy as it used to.
The thought of my baby being wronged while I'm not there for him makes me feel terrible.
My heart is breaking.
Sometimes it's quite frustrating.
I've been pretty good to the little fool, I guess. I can just leave without giving him a chance to react. He usually walks unsteadily, like a drunkard.
The movements were also particularly slow.
Did you step on wheels of fire that day?
Waaaaaaahh ...
The interior space was already quite large compared to a regular sedan, but it was still filled with the incessant crying of the little zombie. Qin Zhi kept trying to soothe him by pressing his face against his, while Yu Bai glanced at the rearview mirror twice.
It was getting dark.
Qin Zhi's affection for the little zombie made him somewhat uneasy, so just to be on the safe side, he set up a simple tent outside.
The little zombie's stomach kept growling, but he wouldn't eat anything. Qin Zhi didn't know what to do, so he took a piece of candy out of his pocket and put it in the baby's mouth.
I spat it out as soon as it went into my mouth.
Qin was persistent and impatient.
I poured him a glass of spring water from the space.
Feed it carefully.
Thinking it would vomit again, the little zombie slowly swallowed, its dark eyes brightening. As long as it could drink, there was hope.
After he finished his drink, Qin Zhi poured him another one.
The little zombie slowly finished drinking.
Qin Zhi rummaged through his spatial storage and pulled out a bag of soft bread. He tore off a small piece and stuffed it into the little zombie's mouth. The little zombie chewed slowly and swallowed it. After taking a bite, it was soon able to eat corn as well.
Qin Zhi kept feeding him.
Until the little zombie's belly bulged slightly.
The next second, the little zombie felt nauseous and vomited up all the food it had just eaten, not only onto the car but also onto Qin Zhi.
Yu Bai listened to the sounds coming from inside the car.
After much hesitation, I decided to go anyway.
He half-closed his fingers and tapped on the car window.
Qin Zhi carried the little zombie and went straight down the door. When Yu Bai saw the filth on him, he almost vomited too. He could look at brains and rotting corpses without changing his expression.
But I can't accept spitting out something that's already in my mouth.
Yu Bai took a few steps back.
Even if you can't smell anything.
I still subconsciously held my breath.
He said, "You guys handle it first." Then he turned and left.
Qin Zhi frowned, his gaze fixed on Yu Bai's departing figure. Yu Bai's steps were hurried, as if a dog was chasing him. He was acting crazy.
He looked down at the little zombie.
She was still nauseous, her little mouth was agape, and tears and snot were mixed together. It would be unbearable for someone with a cleanliness obsession to see her. But Qin Zhi was fine; he was now filled with tenderness and affection, and he didn't care about the mess at all.
