Sanjiang Reflections
When I pick up the pen at this moment.
I suddenly realized that there are very few authors who write about their feelings about Sanjiang on Qidian.
Once upon a time, one had to write two or three million words and spend two years before knocking on the door of Sanjiang and winning the highest honor of this new book issue.
Therefore, I feel a lot of emotion every time.
But nowadays, with the increasing frequency of cutting and reopening books, many authors with fast writing speed and abundant inspiration can log in to Sanjiang many times a year with their big and small accounts, and naturally they have lost any feelings for Sanjiang.
I remember that the last time Sanjin set foot in Sanjiang Territory was four years ago.
Time flies by so fast, and it’s so emotional to be at this point again!
This journey would not have been possible without the support of all our readers, and the guidance of our editor YY.
My thoughts on Sanjiang are different from my thoughts on the book being put on the shelves (crying poor). I have to follow the example of Qidian and focus on answering the frequently asked questions in the book review area.
1. Why is it called Wasteland, but the main theme of the free period content is the struggle for power and profit?
The reason is simple.
The main reason is that the author is tired of the conventional wasteland literature on the market, pushing it all the way from the beginning to the end, and roughly setting the world view to:
Humans vs. infected bodies, two camps.
The protagonist's goal is extremely single: to kill all the infected and rebuild civilization.
The growth path is an endless cycle of "kill, kill, kill, rise, rise", and the power level soars all the way to "one person against one city", and the infected body becomes a pure upgrade material.
The existence of supporting characters is only to highlight the strength of the protagonist, and ultimately portray a series of templated characters who advocate "personal power".
When I first read it, I really liked the author's style. It gave me an invincible joy of roaming the post-apocalyptic wasteland.
But as I grew older, I experienced the well-known years (those who understand will understand).
The author's thinking has changed a bit.
In the wasteland, why can't there be a highly centralized power?
In peacetime, we all rely on the huge collective and rely on working together to overcome crises.
In the wasteland where people need to stick together for warmth, why do humans split up into loose sands and allow the infected to ride on their heads?
So, I came up with the idea of cities of refuge.
Just as there can be lone wolves fighting alone in this world, there can also be lone wolves who do not believe in the collective.
Those who believe in collective strength will not disappear, but will become more numerous because of the difficult environment.
A group of people set up the framework of a city of refuge.
Under a highly centralized system, the City of Sanctuary can naturally develop rapidly, far surpassing the lone wolves wandering in the wilderness and ruins.
I call this group of people "beginners".
However, human thoughts are changeable, and when the development of the city of refuge slows down or encounters one or two disasters.
There will inevitably be different voices within.
These voices will naturally divide power and prevent collective strength from gathering.
So, back to the question, why fight for power?
Because only by gaining power can we ensure unity between the top and the bottom.
Only by holding the reins of power tightly can we anchor the common goal and allow everyone to board the collective ship and sail towards the future.
This process is destined to be full of setbacks and struggles, not only between people and infected bodies, but also between people.
I wrote this part at the beginning. In the words of other authors, it is to screen readers, a group of readers who are tired of conventional wasteland literature.
But I think the word screening is a bit serious.
I always believe that the reading experience should be diverse.
I will not reduce the passionate content of killing, killing, killing, rising, rising, but I will strengthen new elements and inject new soul.
I look forward to the growth of the protagonist Cheng Ye. I hope that he will not only be strong enough to "take down a city alone", but also become a leader with charisma.
When the "ropes" of different factions are twisted into one, those grand ideals will not become empty talk, and will not collapse when the horizontal pushing force disappears (seems to reveal something).
Instead, it will gather into a stronger force and punch the difficulties that come down!
Ordinary people will not become consumables that highlight the tragedy in the background.
When everyone stands shoulder to shoulder.
Use fashionable words to describe:
This punch from us ordinary people can also be very cool!
2. Why are there so many settings before the book is released, and no information about how to deal with the infected?
I have pondered this question over and over again.
My author friends also suggested that I write these things after the book is on the shelves.
But after thinking about it, I still feel that the setting should not be charged, and everyone is paying for the story.
Therefore, some settings are released in advance during the free period.
Although this makes the early rhythm seem a bit slow, fortunately the readers are very tolerant and there are not many scolding voices. Thank you for your tolerance, I love you (please be gentle~~)
3. The factions seem a bit complicated. I feel like there are purely bad guys?
Here we solemnly guarantee:
When there is not enough information, everyone looks bad because everyone wants to use power to achieve their own goals. If they fight too hard, they will appear crazy.
But returning to the original intention, since I have chosen to join the collective, it is just a difference in concept. I don’t have the idea that I want this collective to die.
Everyone is striving to make this wasteland a better place and to expand the borders of civilization.
Some people walk slower, some walk faster, and some want to take a break. It's all normal.
4. Some parts look dull and don’t feel that interesting.
This...is indeed a personal issue for the author.
The writing skills are still not strong enough.
I originally thought that six million words of wasteland experience would be enough for me to give it a try, but when I started writing it, I found that it was extremely difficult.
But I can still give you a guarantee in advance.
The results of the previous book had already been awful by the mid-term, but I still persevered and finished writing all the stories in the outline.
This book is the same, it won't just set up a stall and run away.
If you support me, I won't waste your support.
If you like this story, I will do my best to improve it!
Every reward, every monthly ticket, every chapter comment, every comment.
I won't let these down.
I will never let this world suddenly rise up and then collapse!
Finally, thank you readers for reading this.
Thank you for your support during this period. It is my great honor to be able to bring this book to Sanjiang!
Thank you!!!
