Chapter 189, /.

Madam Pei was somewhat puzzled. She felt that Zhang Qin was acting strangely today, but she couldn't quite put her finger on it.

She had exhausted all her energy on Pei Minghan and could no longer devote it to anyone else, even her personal assistant who had been with her for so many years.

Madam Pei finally left his sight, and Zhang Qin withdrew his reluctant gaze, let out a long sigh, and turned to walk towards the ward at the end of the corridor as if he had made up his mind.

Pushing open the ward door, besides Pei Minghan lying unconscious on the bed, only Jiang Yinglin was there.

Jiang Yinglin was holding a mobile phone, seemingly filming Pei Minghan on the hospital bed.

Pei Minghan was unconscious on the hospital bed. Although the bleeding from her lower body wound had been stopped and she had been given a sedative and painkiller injection, which calmed her down, she still looked like she was in a lot of pain in her sleep. Even with her eyes closed, she had a deep frown.

Hearing the door open, Jiang Yinglin turned around and met Zhang Qin's gaze as he stood at the door, a slight smile curving his lips.

"Oh, it's you? Where's the First Madam?"

Zhang Qin was clearly surprised that the person in the ward was not Pei Fengzhi, but Jiang Yinglin.

When Zhang Qin's gaze fell on the phone in Jiang Yinglin's hand, he frowned in suspicion.

"What are you doing?"

Jiang Yinglin waved his phone in his hand and said with a smile.

“Record the evidence. After all, Ninth Master came here to visit the eldest young master as the old master wished, so there should be something to take back to show the old master.”

Seeing Zhang Qin's suddenly darkened expression, he put away his phone, raised his chin at the other person, and shifted his gaze to Zhang Qin's clenched fist.

"What? Trying to rob me?"

Zhang Qin remained silent.

But Jiang Yinglin deliberately provoked him, tossing his phone in the air repeatedly, making a gesture as if waiting for the other party to snatch it.

Zhang Qin gritted his teeth, took half a step forward, and his knuckles cracked as he clenched his fists.

But the next second, Zhang Qin suddenly stopped and stood motionless in place, even taking a half step back, still standing by the door coldly staring at Jiang Yinglin standing by the hospital bed.

"I can't beat you, so I won't do something that would humiliate me."

Jiang Yinglin whistled, looking at Zhang Qin with great interest, a carefree smile on his face.

"You're quite clever."

“Zhang Qin, someone as intelligent as you should have better options. Why do you keep following Madam Pei? Logically speaking, Madam Pei is really not a suitable person. A good bird chooses a good tree to perch on; you deserve better. Why not…”

Before Jiang Yinglin could finish speaking, Zhang Qin interrupted him with a sharp shout.

"Shut up!"

Zhang Qin spoke, each word distinct and clear, his eyes red.

"Jiang Yinglin, let me tell you, I will never betray the First Madam in my entire life! The First Madam is my benefactor! Even if I die, I will never betray her!"

Jiang Yinglin chuckled, gazing with great admiration at the man standing before him like a pine tree.

"Someone like you suddenly seems to want it even more."

Perhaps his words were too ambiguous, which made Zhang Qin's face darken as he reiterated his statement.

"Jiang Yinglin, I will never betray the First Madam! No matter what method you use, you cannot do it!"

"Oh, really?"

This statement was not made by Jiang Yinglin.

Hearing a familiar woman's voice behind him, Zhang Qin turned around abruptly and was confronted by Ye Ningwan, who was standing right behind him.

The two were so close that Zhang Qin barely dared to move.

His throat bobbed, and a faint sound came from his dry throat.

"Ninth... Ninth Madam... why are you still... here?"

Hasn't she already left?

Ye Ningwan smiled and stepped aside, leaning against the door frame. She looked at Pei Minghan, who was lying unconscious in the ward, and clicked her tongue.

"I finally got my hands on this interesting voice message, and I thought I should share it with Young Master Pei. I just didn't expect it to be so lively here."

Zhang Qin said coldly.

"Ye Ningwan, I was the one who did that back then. The culprit you're looking for is me! Don't even think about trying to drive a wedge between the First Madam and the Eldest Young Master!"

Ye Ningwan laughed.

Suddenly, he grabbed Zhang Qin by the collar and dragged him into the ward.

"Oh, really? Then we should really have a talk about this!"

Zhang Qin was grabbed by the tie, and he felt his neck tighten suddenly. He groaned softly and clutched his tie in pain.

Jiang Yinglin also realized that Ye Ningwan's emotions were not right.

"Hey, Ye Ningwan, you..."

Ye Ningwan suddenly turned around, her bloodshot cat-like eyes looking down at Jiang Yinglin.

"Jiang Yinglin, get out!"

Jiang Yinglin was about to say something when he heard Ye Ningwan warn him.

"Don't make me say it a second time."

Jiang Yinglin immediately raised his hands, made a gesture of surrender to Ye Ningwan, and helplessly retreated slowly towards the door.

"You two can chat slowly, I'll keep watch outside for you."

Bang.

Jiang Yinglin quickly closed the door.

Besides Pei Minghan lying there, only Ye Ningwan and Zhang Qin remained in the ward.

Zhang Qin coughed twice, struggling to break free from Ye Ningwan's grasp.

"Cough cough!"

But the next second, Zhang Qin was suddenly grabbed by the neck by Ye Ningwan and slammed against the wall.
