...Pei Fengzhi sat down as well, lifting Ye Ningwan off the ground while giving instructions to Grizzly Bear.
"Drive home!"
Grizzly had just been reprimanded by Pei Fengzhi, so he didn't say another word. He just kept his eyes forward, focused on driving, and dared not look anywhere else, let alone look back.
Ye Ningwan was thrown onto the back seat, rubbed her knees in dissatisfaction, pouted, and muttered a few curses at Pei Fengzhi in her heart.
You cheapskate!
All you do is bully her!
Be careful you don't end up without a wife if you're this fierce!
...
Ye Ningwan was inwardly cursing happily when she suddenly felt a gaze so intense it was almost tangible fall upon her. Her whole body felt like it was burning up, or as if this gaze would mercilessly pierce through her.
Ye Ningwan subconsciously looked up and happened to see Pei Fengzhi with one arm draped over the car window, his chin resting on his hand, staring at her with his head tilted to the side.
Pei Fengzhi seemed to be able to read her mind and asked Ye Ningwan.
"What are you cursing me about now?"
Ye Ningwan was taken aback for a moment, but the next second a smile immediately appeared on her incomparably beautiful face. She clung to Pei Fengzhi's arm in a very obsequious manner, swayed her head sweetly, rubbed her head against his shoulder, and said in a coquettish voice.
"How could that be? I think you were amazing, so brave, so generous, and so righteous today! You truly deserve to be my husband!"
Pei Fengzhi stared at Ye Ningwan's dark cat-like eyes with a half-smile.
"Oh, really?"
This woman is a wicked little thief; he doesn't believe a single word she says.
