...No one in the bedroom answered Little Star's question.
Little Star blinked her big eyes, lifted the covers, and was about to jump off the bed.
However, he only completed half of his action when a figure rushed in from outside the door, hugged Little Star tightly, and pulled him into a warm embrace, crying uncontrollably.
"Little Star!!!"
"Why are you being so naughty? You scared me to death! Do you know how worried I was about you all night?!"
"What would I do if something happened to you? I wish I could be with you..."
"..."
Tang Ruanruan became more and more excited as she spoke, and she couldn't help but raise her hand and slap Xiaoxing's bottom hard a few times.
Little Star wanted to explain, but before he could even speak, he cried out and covered his little bottom, his eyes red and brimming with tears as he looked pitifully at Tang Ruanruan.
Tang Ruanruan had a dark circle under her eyes, a sign of her exhaustion from not sleeping all night. Her whole face was sallow, but the corners of her eyes were red, and her almond-shaped eyes were swollen like walnuts.
Little Star was instantly overcome with guilt.
He lowered his head and whispered to Tang Ruanruan.
"I know I was wrong. I promise I'll never run out at night again! Please don't cry, okay?"
Tang Ruanruan wiped away the tears from the corners of her eyes and sniffed.
"I'll trust you one last time."
Little Star nodded vigorously.
At this moment, Pei Fengzhi, who had changed his clothes, was led out of the walk-in closet.
When Little Star saw Pei Fengzhi, she instinctively stood up and ran towards him.
"Handsome uncle, what happened to you? How did you get arrested by the police?"
Pei Fengzhi was dressed simply in a white shirt and suit pants, her long hair tied up with a hairband. Her face was extremely pale, like a vampire lurking in the night, so beautiful that one couldn't help but want to offer their neck and blood.
Pei Fengzhi turned around and smiled faintly at Little Star.
"You go back with Mommy first, this has nothing to do with you."
He was framed because he wasn't careful enough, and it had little to do with a child. He didn't want Xiaoxing to get involved and disrupt the child's normal life.
Pei Fengzhi had witnessed firsthand just how disgusting and despicable those behind the scenes were.
But he didn't take it to heart.
Over the years, I've seen some truly disgusting things.
But Little Star didn't think that way at all. He only knew that his handsome uncle, with whom he had always had a good relationship, had been arrested, and it seemed that the reason for the arrest was closely related to him.
How could Little Star possibly resist?
He struggled to break free from Tang Ruanruan's embrace and lunged at Pei Fengzhi.
"Handsome uncle, wait for me! Wait for me! Why are they taking you away! Let me go! Get away!"
The little star in her arms was incredibly strong; Tang Ruanruan had to use all her strength to barely hold him, and hugged him tightly.
"Little star, don't move!"
Pei Fengzhi was pushed and shoved out of the bedroom and quickly stuffed into a police car.
Accompanied by the wailing of sirens, it sped away.
For the first time, Little Star's eyes turned red, and she burst into uncontrollable sobs.
Little Star broke free from Tang Ruanruan, grabbed Luo Rui's trouser leg tightly, tilted her head back, looked at him with her big, swollen eyes, and cried out, her voice trembling with sobs.
"Why did you kidnap Uncle Handsome? Uncle Handsome didn't abduct me. I willingly went home with him!"
"The handsome uncle is a good person. He even said he would teach me and that I am very smart. He said he would find a professional teacher to guide me and help me develop my talents!"
"..."
Little Star was crying and sobbing so much that no one present could understand what she was saying afterward.
Luo Rui frowned, reached out his hand, calloused from the gun, and rubbed Xiao Xingxing's already messy little head, saying helplessly.
“Little brother, you are too young to know how many bad people there are in this world. These bad people are so black-hearted that you can’t even tell they are bad people.”
"After all, bad people in this world don't write the word 'bad' on their foreheads!"
Little Star twitched, her big, dark eyes staring at Luo Rui's cold and angular face. After a moment of silence, she finally slowly released her grip on Luo Rui's pants.
He finally understood that this captain named Luo Rui wouldn't listen to anything he said, and didn't believe a single word he said.
Although he didn't know whether the captain named Luo Rui was a good person or a bad person, at least the other party didn't believe what he said, so no matter how hard he tried, it would be useless.
Little Star didn't want to waste any more time on this person.
Luo Rui obviously didn't consider what a four or five-year-old child was thinking; he just assumed that the child had probably been persuaded by him.
He waved to the forensic doctor he had brought.
"Take this child for a full checkup!"
The forensic doctor received a look from Luo Rui, immediately understood, and returned the look.
"Come with me."
Little Star looked up at the forensic doctor in a white coat and mask, and took several steps back in fear. She pitifully hid behind Tang Ruanruan and whimpered softly.
Tang Ruanruan also tensed up, watching the forensic doctor walking towards her warily.
