Chapter 189, /.

Ye Ningwan glanced at the phone in Pei Fengzhi's hand. The balcony lights were off, and the night outside was as dark as ink. Only the light from the phone illuminated the space, yet it gave off an eerie feeling.

Ye Ningwan's cat-like eyes darted around a few times, her clear, innocent gaze filled with a hint of naivety, and she asked in a low voice.

"Pei Fengzhi, am I doubting myself?"

Her fingers slowly moved down Pei Fengzhi's chin, her nails gently tracing his Adam's apple, lingering on his chest, and then to the belt of his bathrobe. She hooked a finger around Pei Fengzhi's belt, stood up, and slowly pressed it against him.

Her eyes were alluring, and her voice was as sweet and seductive as melted ice cream.

Ye Ningwan gave Pei Fengzhi a flirtatious wink.

"Or are you doubting yourself... doubting your own... abilities...?"

Before Ye Ningwan could finish speaking, Pei Fengzhi scooped her up in his arms, kicked open the balcony door, and strode inside.

The sound of Pei Fengzhi gritting his teeth could be heard carried on the wind.

"Whether it's enough or not, you'll know once you try it..."

...

The sound of the wind outside the window continued until midnight. Ye Ningwan's voice was almost hoarse from begging for mercy. She cried and scratched Pei Fengzhi's back until it was covered with scratches. The bloody claw marks were driving Pei Fengzhi crazy.

After taking a shower late at night, he held Ye Ningwan in his lap and trimmed her nails.

Ye Ningwan leaned against Pei Fengzhi's naked chest, lazily yawned, squinted at her fingernails, and murmured a soft "hmm."

"It hurts, be gentle..."

As she spoke, she tried to pull her hand back, but Pei Fengzhi held her slender fingers tightly in his palm.

"Don't move around. You're already like this, why aren't you calm?"

Ye Ningwan gave a low hum, kicked Pei Fengzhi, and tried to struggle out of his arms.

"Don't touch me, I'm not cutting my hair anymore."

Pei Fengzhi put one arm around Ye Ningwan's slender waist and continued to knead her wrist with the other hand, coaxing her helplessly in a low voice.

"Stop messing around. If you don't cut your nails, who knows what kind of mess you'll make of my back."

Ye Ningwan sneered and said irritably.

"Then don't touch me, lest I scratch Master Pei's fair skin and bones again, and I won't be able to afford to pay for it later."

She tried to break free from Pei Fengzhi's embrace, but he held her waist and pulled her back into his arms, leaving him no choice but to coax her helplessly.

"No, it's all my fault. I didn't hold back and hurt my wife."

Pei Fengzhi took Ye Ningwan's fingers and gently kissed them.

Ye Ningwan finally calmed down, gave a low hum, squinted her eyes, and let Pei Fengzhi hold her hand and trim her nails.

Suddenly, Ye Ningwan mumbled to Pei Fengzhi, "..."

"Pei Fengzhi..."

Pei Fengzhi responded.

"Um."

Ye Ningwan said in a hoarse voice.

"I actually have nothing to do with Pei Minghan. No matter what, he's not as good as you. Why would I like him instead of you?"

Pei Fengzhi responded softly.

"Yes, I know."

Ye Ningwan hummed and chuckled, then leaned close to Pei Fengzhi's ear and whispered with a laugh.

"I'll tell you another secret, but don't be angry when you hear it."

Pei Fengzhi finished trimming Ye Ningwan's nails, but still held her tightly and refused to let go.

With such a warm and soft woman in his arms, he couldn't bear to part with her and just wanted to hold her a little longer.

"you say."

Their black hair intertwined, and Ye Ningwan lifted a strand of Pei Fengzhi's long hair that was hanging down, twirling it around her fingertips and playing with it gently.

“Pei Minghan, I castrated him.”

Pei Fengzhi lowered his eyes and glanced at Ye Ningwan with a hint of doubt in his gaze.

"Huh? What's going on?"

He tightened his grip on Ye Ningwan's slender waist.

Ye Ningwan felt a little uncomfortable, so she whimpered and squirmed in his arms before leaning against Pei Fengzhi again, speaking in a soft yet arrogant tone.

"He tried to bully me while you were away, so I castrated him. Serves him right! Now he wants to see a healer to cure his illness. Humph, I won't treat him. Anyone who does is a complete idiot! Let him continue living like a sheep!"

Pei Fengzhi's arm around Ye Ningwan showed prominent veins, and a cold and chilling smile curled at the corner of his lips.

"Oh, really? Then I guess Pei Minghan doesn't need to live anymore! Let's just kill him now!"

Ye Ningwan was in a lot of pain from Pei Fengzhi's grip. She struggled to open her eyes, glared at Pei Fengzhi with her cat-like eyes, and gave him a hard look.

"What are you doing! You're hurting me!"

Pei Fengzhi placed her on the messy blankets, leaned down and pressed down on her again, biting her shoulder hard and leaving a clear tooth mark on Ye Ningwan's shoulder.

"ah--"

Ye Ningwan screamed and tried to get up, scratching several bloody marks on Pei Fengzhi's chest with all her might.

"What are you doing! If you're angry, go kill Pei Minghan! Why are you killing me! I'm not coming anymore, I'm exhausted, I want to sleep..."

Pei Fengzhi gasped as she tickled him, looked helplessly at his chest, grabbed her hand, and couldn't help but bite it hard.

"You go to sleep, I'll do my own thing..."

...

The next day, Ye Ning slept until almost noon. In her groggy state, she reached out and touched the bed beside her, only to find it completely cold.

She opened her eyes groggily, yawned, and tried to sit up, only to find that her whole body felt like it was falling apart.

Ye Ningwan rolled over and lay on her back on the bed in a starfish position, unable to help but curse loudly.
