In the interrogation room, Ye Ruoxin was wrapped in a thin blanket, holding a cup of ginger tea in her arms. She huddled in the soft chair, looking like a little rabbit that might be startled at any moment.

Although she had changed out of her wet dress and dried her hair, she still looked pitiful.

The policewoman standing nearby couldn't help but feel compassion.

She gently patted Ye Ruoxin's back and whispered.

"Don't be afraid, don't worry, our Captain Luo is very fair and will definitely not let you suffer injustice for nothing! He will definitely uphold justice for you!"

Ye Ruoxin's eyes were red and filled with tears as she choked out a message to the policewoman.

Before Ye Ruoxin could finish speaking, the door to the interrogation room suddenly opened, and a middle-aged woman of medium build and still charming walked in. It was Ye's mother, Mei Aiqing.

When Mei Aiqing saw Ye Ruoxin sitting in the chair, she hesitated for a moment because Ye Ruoxin's current appearance was really hard for her to recognize.

"Hello, Captain Luo."

Luo Rui did not reach out to shake hands, but politely gestured for Mei Aiqing to sit down.

Mei Aiqing turned to wipe away the tears from the corners of her eyes, then bent down and sat down quietly next to Ye Ruoxin.

Luo Rui opened the leather notebook in his hand, placed both hands on the table, and asked Ye Ruoxin in a gentle tone.

"Miss Ye, now I need you to tell me everything that happened today, in detail, including any conflicts between you and Ye Ningwan."

Ye Ruoxin looked back at Luo Rui with red eyes, and asked him a question while sobbing.

"Captain Luo, you've already obtained the surveillance video from the time of the incident. Isn't that enough to convict him?"

Seeing Ye Ruoxin's excited state, Luo Rui quickly tried to calm her down.

"When we investigate a case, we need to find out the cause, process, and outcome of the incident so that we can better determine the crime. The forensic doctor just examined the injuries on your body, right? That's part of our investigation process, and the questioning we're giving you now is the same. So please don't get agitated. We will definitely give you an explanation! We just need your cooperation!"
