...Although Ye Ningwan was smiling, the driver clearly sensed the chilling warning beneath her smile. He felt a chill in his heart, lowered his head, and dared not ask any more questions.
After all, this job is easy, pays well, and has good benefits. If he loses his job because of his sharp tongue, where will he go to complain?
The driver followed behind Ye Ningwan and saw her walk past the market without looking to either side. She bought a large bag of potato chips from a stall outside the convenience store before going straight to the paper craft shop and buying two wreaths.
When Ye Ningwan handed the wreath to the driver, his eyes almost popped out of their sockets.
He looked at Ye Ningwan in disbelief, almost unable to believe that Ye Ningwan had actually bought two wreaths.
"Ninth... Ninth Madam... what is this...?"
Ye Ningwan smiled but didn't answer. She turned around, asked for another pound of yellow paper, and then left.
"I'm going back."
The driver, following behind Ye Ningwan, suddenly glanced back at the paper craft shop. A chill ran down his spine, making him shudder. He quickened his pace and hurried into the car.
As the car drove towards the Ye family mansion, the driver felt a chill run down his spine the whole way, and he didn't even dare to look at Ye Ningwan, who was holding a pound of yellow paper, in the rearview mirror.
This Ninth Madam gave him the creeps; she was clearly not someone to be trifled with.
Finally, the car stopped in front of the Ye family villa.
The Ye family should have already received the message from the Pei family and know that Ye Ningwan returned alone.
Therefore, when the car stopped, the Ye family's gate was tightly closed, and there was no sound outside.
Ye Ningwan chuckled.
Ha, she was given a hard time before she even stepped inside.
