The Prince of Nanxiang had over a hundred concubines and servants; human sacrifice had been abolished long ago, yet such a callous disregard for human life still existed!

The thirteen heroes were shocked by the news, and their chivalrous hearts finally triumphed over their greed. Persuaded by Xiao Fengque, they decided to put aside their past grievances and work together to find the true culprit. Once the culprit was found, they would use him as leverage to exchange for the freedom of hundreds of lives lost.

The unparalleled poison doctor no longer kept his secrets and revealed to everyone what he had been concealing for personal reasons:

"The Prince of Nanxiang was indeed struck in the eye by a poisoned dart. But even though the Eight Immortals Crossing the Sea medicine is potent, it's impossible for him to die so quickly. The condition of the corpse suggests that the poison took effect from within."

Although the Poison Doctor was skilled in using poison, his martial arts skills were really mediocre. The body of the Prince of Nanxiang was guarded by veteran soldiers, and although the Poison Doctor really wanted to disembowel the Prince of Nanxiang, he simply didn't have the ability to break in.

Xiao Fengque immediately made the decision and assigned tasks to everyone:

The poison doctor took the opportunity to examine the Prince of Nanxiang's body, while Xiao Fengque and Xie An were responsible for keeping watch for the poison doctor.

As Xiao Fengque eloquently described his military strategy, the characters on the screen began to act.

The poison doctor quickly rushed to the body of the Prince of Nanxiang and performed an autopsy.

When the chest and abdomen were cut open, a foul stench wafted out. Xiao Fengque and Xie An both covered their noses.

Before the poison doctor could examine it carefully, a squad of guards suddenly burst through the door!

Xiao Fengque and Xie An had no choice but to draw their swords and engage in battle with the guards. They couldn't kill anyone, nor could they allow the guards to disturb the poison doctor's autopsy. They were truly caught in a bind.

"Clang!"

The soldiers' swords clashed with the Wind Whisper Blade, creating dazzling sparks. Xiao Fengque swatted the soldiers away and asked urgently, "Divine Physician Mei, are you done yet!"

Amidst the rapid drumbeats, the chivalrous heroes who had been tasked with drawing away the guards returned and helped Xie An repel the government troops.

Although everyone tried to restrain their fighting skills, several soldiers were still killed. The room was completely surrounded by more than a hundred soldiers from the Prince of Nanxiang's mansion, making it impossible to move.

Dawn is breaking.

Doctor Mei got up from the ground, and several knights helped him carry the body back. After some thrashing and shoving, the body of the Prince of Nanxiang was unrecognizable, a complete mess on the ground.

The sounds of the knights vomiting echoed in the room.

The sky was bright.

Madam Du, clad in armor and with her hand on her sword, strode into the mourning hall where the bodies lay scattered. At her command, the guards dragged the corpses, lying haphazardly on the floor, out.

"Gentlemen," Madam Du said, her expression resolute yet weary, "you owe me an explanation."
