Infected at the start and exiled to the City of Strange Species.
Octopus extended its tentacles: What is this? Let's suck it!
Goat extended its hooves: What is this? Let's suck ...
The spaceships in the sky were too close to their evacuation team, and even with Gu Li's hints, their progress in destroying the spaceships was very slow.
Their objective was quite clear: after successfully destroying several ships, the remaining ships consciously distanced themselves from them on guard.
The first to notice something was wrong was Said, who was taking cover on the ground. His pupils dilated as he looked at the countless ferocious figures that had suddenly appeared on the ground.
He yelled, "Quick! Get inside the car, Al! Notify the other teams!"
They were at the end of this long line, and monsters, awakened from their slumber, descended from behind them, their figures almost indistinguishable from alien species, rushing towards them.
Those who didn't have time to pull their heads back had their heads twisted off instantly, and the splattered blood bloomed like bright flowers on the car window.
Screams and cries filled the convoy once more, and seemingly endless monstrous soldiers were being dropped from the sky, mindless and driven only by the instinct to destroy everything.
Casualties soon occurred within the escort team.
Alfoseni gritted his teeth, aimed at a black knight without looking, and fired a shot. He then flipped over and shoved the gun barrel into the mouth of another black knight.
The black knight before him had lost his hands, but countless waving tentacles had grown back from where his hands had been. When his sharp teeth were blocked, the tentacles coiled towards his neck.
Alfonsini groaned as he struggled with the thing on the roof, the occasional loud thuds from the roof eliciting small gasps of surprise.
Alfoseni gritted his teeth and rolled off the roof of the car, his eyes fixed on the monster that had entangled him, his sense of foreboding growing stronger.
This was no ordinary monster; its strength and speed far surpassed those of lower-level species. Its hands trembled slightly as they hung at its sides.
A huge gash was torn from his arm, and blood kept gushing out, wetting his cold fingers.
He just plunged the dagger into that thing's head, and it can still move!
Saed quickly dispatched the monster in front of him, rushed to its side, and violently bombarded the creature with his large-caliber gun, forcing it to retreat a few steps.
What's going on with this thing?
When Saide saw that the thing was completely unharmed, his expression changed. The thing steadied itself and charged towards them again.
The wound on Alfoseni's hand clearly excited the thing even more.
“This thing’s weakness isn’t in its head; even if I pierced its skull, it wouldn’t have mattered,” Al gasped. “Besides… this thing seems to have some other abilities.”
Saide's expression changed, and he instantly understood Al's meaning.
Lower species act solely on instinct, while higher-level missionaries, their retinues, and even higher-level beings possess a variety of bizarre abilities.
And the difficulty of dealing with it increases exponentially.
Said blocked his way behind him: "I can't tell you to go back and rest right now. Killing this thing is still up to the two of us."
Alfoseny: "That's exactly what I was thinking."
The two people's headsets kept transmitting the sounds of high-speed collisions and separations. Above everyone's heads, a small black dot was surrounded by countless flying black knights.
Gu Li pulled the long sword out of the monster's body and quickly retreated to the rooftop on the side, rolling several times on the ground before finally coming to a stop.
The monsters who had been eyeing her from the beginning followed closely behind. Despite having no evidence, Gu Li had a gut feeling.
These things were probably all arranged by someone, specifically targeting her.
She heard cries coming from below, her back tightened little by little, and a deep anger rose from the depths of her eyes until it reached an unbearable level.
She took a deep breath, removed the cross from behind her with her left hand, and drew the longsword from the roaring black knight's body with her right hand, lowering her voice slightly.
"Even I would get angry if I were constantly looked down upon. Do you think this little thing can stop me?"
The number of ferocious-looking black knights on the rooftop continues to increase.
The air around them had become thin. Gu Li took a deep breath, quickly scanned his surroundings, and suddenly disappeared from the spot.
The first to spot Gu Li's figure was a black knight who was gradually falling off his body. His body, covered in some kind of viscous liquid, crashed heavily to the ground, and the suffocating force field around him gradually disappeared.
Her light golden hair gradually became disheveled, slightly obscuring her eyes, and those eyes in the shadows, filled with angry glints, fell on the next strangely-looking black knight.
The Black Knights, all baptized under Nicholas, possessed entirely new souls and tireless bodies, yet at this moment they subconsciously took a step back.
All around her were sharp claws attacking her. Gu Li took a deep breath. What good was seeing them clearly? She had to keep up with their speed first!
The small bone whale swam in mid-air, emitting a melodious cry.
The next moment, Gu Li's figure, with his sword raised high, appeared behind another black knight that was trying to spit out a lot of slime. He avoided its frog-like bulging head with his long sword and cut it in half at the waist.
At the same time, the cross in his left hand slammed into the black knight on the other side with great force, causing him and several others to fall from the rooftop at the same time.
Another soothing buzzing sound.
Gu Li's eyes flashed with a sharp light, and she leaped off the building in an instant, appearing beside the Black Knight who was trying to escape. The wind blew her hair away, revealing her fierce eyebrows and eyes.
With a flash of light from her blade, the black knight, his face contorted in pain, lost control and tumbled from mid-air.
The vehicles below, also surrounded and attacked by the Black Knight Legion, noticed the corpses falling from above, and the people inside couldn't help but let out a low sob.
