Just before being swallowed up, Gu Li saw a gigantic alien creature rising from the ground outside, its limbs shrouded in black mist, and a pale, gloomy man rapidly approaching.

She even saw a moment of panic in He Shiyi's opaque eyes.

She instinctively opened her mouth, but her vision went black.

After an indescribable pulling sensation, a strong feeling of weightlessness washed over her. She instinctively tried to spread her wings, but ultimately fell heavily to the ground.

Having fallen from an unknown height, Gu Li, whose body was considered fragile even among advanced species, felt excruciating pain all over his body.

She scrambled to her feet, trembling, and looked warily at the person who had silently approached from behind.

The man paused, startled by the unexpectedly sharp and cold sky-blue eyes, and quietly tightened his grip on the stick.

Gu Li opened her mouth, but was hit on the head with a blunt object. Her body fell to the ground, and she fell into a state of physical dizziness and pain.

The man thought she had fainted and breathed a sigh of relief. He then stepped forward quickly and began searching Gu Li's body.

Gu Li went to the first district to carry out a rescue mission, so naturally he didn't have anything on him other than necessities.

The man found nothing of value on Gu Li and seemed somewhat exasperated. He roughly pulled the communicator and earpiece from her wrist.

Only then did he notice the longsword that Gu Li was holding tightly in her hand. After hesitating for a moment, he took the sword from her.

Another set of footsteps came from behind: "Are you done yet, Jack! If we don't move soon, those damn red pigs are coming!"

The man named Jack stood up from next to Gu Li, cursing and spitting, "This time, all that's here is worthless junk. Let's get out of here."

Jack straightened up but saw that Barry was still dragging someone along. He subconsciously used his tattered boots to pick at the person's face and gave him a critical look.

“This girl is pretty, but don’t forget, the Christmas of Mother Goddess is in a couple of days, and it’s not easy to sell goods at this time.”

Barry, a man with one eye missing, grinned upon hearing this, revealing a mouthful of yellow teeth. The murky eye that was so openly exposed was unsettling.

"Sophia will be baptized in a few days for Christmas, so let's forget about the newcomers... Anyway, since we have them here, we might as well make use of them."

Listening to the conversation between the two, Gu Li quietly stuffed the dagger in her hand back into her bosom, pretending to be oblivious as she was dragged away by the other person.

Gu Li and another person were thrown onto a modified spaceship with four wheels. The strange spaceship sped away, and Gu Li and the other person were casually tossed into the back seat.

Perhaps because her injuries were too severe, Jack only tied Lucy with a rope.

When they were thrown onto the vehicle and faced each other, Gu Li finally saw the other person's face clearly. It turned out to be Lucy, the leader of the sixth squad. At this moment, her eyes were closed and her face was as pale as a sheet of paper.

Gu Li twitched his nose and could faintly smell a bloody odor.

She flexed her wrists, carefully checking on Lucy during the brief lulls in the jolts, while secretly listening to the conversation between the two people in front of her.

Lucy's abdominal wound was exposed to the air. The fine threads that had been used as sutures had disappeared without a trace, and the dark wound, which looked unusual at a glance, was wriggling and healing at an extremely slow speed.

However, the debris that flew in during the battle made the wounds harder to heal and caused Lucy great pain.

Gu Li glanced around the car, her eyes lit up, and with a flick of her toe, a bottle of wine with strange star patterns rolled into her hand.

She tensed up and silently opened the bottle. Using Lucy's upper body, which was hidden by her back, she quietly covered Lucy's mouth with one hand and slowly poured out the wine to clean the wound with the other.

The casual conversation in front of them suddenly stopped.

What does it taste like?

Jack gripped the steering wheel with one hand, a cheap cigarette dangling from his mouth, and mumbled, "What kind of taste could it possibly have? I told you long ago this car needed replacing. It won't hold up next time we go up against that red-skinned pig."

Barry's blind eyeball moved unnaturally in its socket, then suddenly and eerily moved to the corner of its eye, staring straight ahead.

The two women, who had been carelessly thrown in, lay motionless on the ground, swaying with the bumps of the vehicle and the debris inside.

A swaying bottle caught his attention, and Barry's gaze lingered on it for a moment.

Jack chuckled. "It's just a few drinks to relax. You're not going to report me, are you?"

After a while, Gu Li felt the cold gaze behind her fade away, followed by Barry's voice: "Remember the White Eagle Society's rules, when the time comes... I won't help you."

Jack: "I'm afraid you have to help me now."

His voice suddenly turned somber. Gu Li heard a heavy thud as something fell to the ground, followed by the rustling sound of something being dragged along the ground.

It was accompanied by a nauseating aroma.

Something was approaching. Gu Li opened her eyes and met Lucy's bewildered gaze. She quietly made a shushing gesture.

The two people in front got out of the car and rushed toward the source of the sound with a swiftness that seemed disproportionate to their size.

Gu Li sniffed, signaling Lucy to wait, and then she took the opportunity to climb into the driver's seat and floor the gas pedal...?

Where's the accelerator?

Instead of starting as expected, the vehicle suddenly started playing loud music with a hissing horn.

Amidst the upbeat music, Gu Li came face to face with the two who were running away in a disheveled state.

The three men paused for a moment. Barry, with blood streaming from his eyes, grinned maliciously and charged forward with his gun.

"When I was playing the double agent game, you were still nowhere to be found!"
