Chapter 175 Pendant

The old mansion of the Eric family exudes the luxury and sense of history characteristic of all old aristocrats. William Eric often sat in this sofa chair, smoking a cigar, his gaze slowly sweeping over every corner.

This gave him a greater sense of accomplishment than the victories brought by his legions.

But now he could no longer muster any interest. Ever since that person appeared, someone had been constantly reminding him that everything he now possessed did not belong to him.

Rossini Eric was once second only to He Shiyi, who was known as the Star of the Nation. He was impeccable in academics, skills, and even appearance.

He was just a minor official who wasn't even worthy of sitting down, and no matter how outstanding he was, those old guys wouldn't give him a second glance.

Rossini was a mountain above him; after the annihilation of the Eleventh Army, William even opened a bottle of champagne at home to celebrate.

He knew this was his chance.

With the loss of Rossini to the Eric family, William's ambition told him that this was his chance.

He climbed to this position by any means necessary, not to be handed over to Rossini!

William Eric, with a cigar between his fingers, pointed upwards toward the stairs: "I agree to your demands, but there's only one condition: Rossini Eric, I want to see him die with my own eyes."

The man, hidden in the shadows, had a slight smile on his lips, and his voice, like a venomous snake, cut through the skin: "That's wonderful, our goals are aligned."

Gu Li woke up in his bedroom on the top floor of the Eleventh Army building, staring blankly at the clouds outside the window, when suddenly there was a knock on the door.

She yawned and slowly pulled on her slippers to open the door.

I remember now, she's already back in District 1.

Outside the door stood Cen Xingbang, dressed in a silver-black military uniform, holding a notebook in his hand, taking a moment to jot something down.

Hearing the sound, he looked up and saw Gu Li with a few tufts of hair sticking up on her head. His hand holding the pen paused for a moment.

He gently closed his notebook and pushed up his glasses with one hand: "Sorry to bother you, are you still not awake?"

Gu Li's gaze fell on the wide silver ring on his slender fingers, adorned with tiny sapphires, exuding a captivating sexiness when he held the pen.

It took her a moment to process what she'd just said, and she quickly shook her head: "I'm awake. Are we getting ready to leave? Wait for me!"

Cen Xingbang looked down at Gu Li's profile, which had a slight red mark. She looked paleer than usual after just waking up, making her seem more like a girl her age.

He stopped her from closing the door with the hand holding the notebook, looked down to meet her light blue eyes, and said with a smile in his eyes, "No need to rush, I'm just giving this to you in advance."

A small metal pendant lay in his palm, made with great care, its silver and black color scheme matching the 11th Army uniform.

Gu Li paused for a moment, then picked up the pendant and examined it closely.

"This is... a summoning circle from a mysterious cult?"

Cen Xingbang nodded, his large hand sweeping across the pendant hanging in mid-air. A massive aura of pollution flashed by, and suddenly a long sword appeared in his slender hand.

Gu Li's eyes widened immediately.

"Wow, what's this?!"

Cen Xingbang leaned down slightly and carefully pointed out the pattern on the pendant to her: "I modified it based on the magic arrays I discovered. It can teleport things prepared in the base's magic arrays."

"The front side is for teleportation, and the back side is for sending back."

"Energy is pollution, you try it."

Gu Li's eyes sparkled as she tentatively placed her hand on it. After inputting the contamination, she could even roughly sense what was on the other end.

With a flick of his wrist, a dagger appeared out of thin air before his eyes.

She looked around in surprise, then put the dagger back.

Gu Li looked at Cen Xingbang with great excitement: "This is amazing!"

Cen Xingbang gently reached out to steady Gu Li, who was lunging at him, and patted her golden head with one hand. Once she calmed down, he bent down and put her on the ground.

"It was just some minor changes I made in my spare time, nothing to mention."

Cen Xingbang straightened his slightly disheveled coat and said, "Then I'll be going now."

Gu Li quickly changed into the uniform she had prepared the night before, hanging the longsword and pendant at her waist. She replaced the matching white gloves with patent leather gloves that had the ability to split.

She hummed a song as she went out. The people who had accompanied her on the rooftop were already inside the spaceship. Gu Li jumped up in a few steps, a smile on her face.

Levi has risen to the position of leader of the Little Cotton Support Group in recent days, and is currently chatting with Vivian, with strange bubbles emanating from his body.

Cecil beckoned Gu Li to sit down, and then moved away from him with a look of disgust.

"After the meeting, take me to the Federal University. I haven't been there in a long time, and I can hardly remember what my alma mater looks like."

Gu Li leaned on Cecil's shoulder and said, "Let's go take a look around there together."

One of the locations on the map surrounded by countless sacrificial formations is near the Federal University.

Safe zone.

The military headquarters was greeted early in the morning by numerous stern-faced dignitaries, including all the legion commanders and adjutants, a rare sight indeed.

But today is the day of the regular meeting, so it's not surprising that more people are here.

When the cars of the military leaders and high-ranking members of parliament parked downstairs, some people exchanged surprised glances.

It seems something big has happened.

Not long ago, during the sudden attack in Grantham, there were never so many people appearing at once.

The spaceship carrying Gu Li and his crew stopped at the edge of the military headquarters for inspection. Levi put down his communicator and looked out the window thoughtfully.

He saw something and suddenly let out a cold laugh.

He then said to Gu Li and Cecil, "It seems there are quite a lot of people today. Perhaps we can go out for a meal first and then come back."

Gu Li didn't even need to look outside to sense the increasing number of people around her, and the deliberately soft footsteps made her frown deeply.

"Why? To intimidate me?"

Cecil's long black hair cascaded down, making her face appear even more adorable. She rested her chin on her hand and met the gaze of the person peeping from outside for a moment.

"Perhaps some people panicked after receiving the information we provided."

Levi straightened up and stretched, crackling as he did so: "Not only are they panicking, but when their lives are threatened, some people are desperate to seize power for themselves."

Gu Li suddenly realized: "Are they testing us?"

Levi grinned and changed the subject: "I arranged to meet Vivian near the Federal University."

Cecil's gaze fell on Levi, who had stood up, and he reminded him, "Eric told you not to make too much noise before he left."

Levi smiled, revealing slightly sharp teeth.

"It's just a meal, they're moving too slowly."

More and more spaceships were ahead of them in the queue, but the detection speed was getting slower and slower, with staff members walking past their spaceships as if nothing was wrong.

Gu Li lowered her hand that was resting on her chin and sighed, "I thought at least we could have a meal before the meeting."

"let's go."
