Octopus extended its tentacles: What is this? Let's suck it!

Goat extended its hooves: What is this? Let's suck ...

Chapter 18 A Trembling Gaze

Gu Li then noticed that the spikes on his body, which looked imposing, were actually trembling slightly as he struggled to block the attacks of the human-faced dog, his face showing a pained expression.

Gu Li looked down at his short legs, which were dangling in the air due to the huge spikes that had grown out of them, and remained silent for a few seconds: "Can you still walk now?"

Struggling to roll and deflect the claws that attacked again, Angell, now completely upside down, sighed peacefully in the center of the hedgehog ball, his face still bearing a serene expression of having seen through the ways of the world.

"I'm afraid it's impossible, Miss. You should leave now."

The human-faced dog seemed to have discovered the two men's outward strength but inner weakness, and began to try to bypass Angel and head into the city. To make matters worse, Gu Li heard rustling sounds coming from inside the containers.

She stared at the prototype of Angel for a long time. Perhaps it was because the human-faced dog and Angel's appearance were relatively polite today that she gradually began to feel something.

The decisive action of drawing the sword and bringing his hand to his mouth was so practiced it was heartbreaking; the scarlet liquid on the back of his thin hand was driven to swirl around the blade.

Gu Li flew over Angor with a flap of his wings, carrying a longsword. A cold glint appeared in his light-colored eyes. As he watched the human-faced dog's movements with extreme focus, his pupils gradually turned murky black from the edges.

Taking advantage of the lull, she used her sword to push Angel away a bit to avoid being accidentally injured. With a serious expression, she looked at the three human-faced dogs that were gradually appearing and asked softly, "Do you have a way to notify the city, or does the city have a way to monitor the situation here?"

Eric arrived quickly after He Wei appeared yesterday; perhaps there's some solution in the city...

As the slender figure blocked his way, tears welled up in Angor's black hole eyes. He said with emotion, "Today is a holiday for those stones, so the message transmission is slower. Lord Eric may not be able to arrive in time."

"Miss, why don't you just leave me alone? They can't do anything to me."

Gu Li's longsword clashed with the human-faced dog's sharp teeth. An unexpected force came from her hand. She gritted her teeth, gripped the hilt with both hands, and flipped it to strike. She then flapped her wings to avoid the whooshing sound from behind.

He tried his best to turn the longsword in his hand and slash to the left. The longsword, which had been enhanced with damage, struck the charcoal-like leg bone, making a crisp sound of hard objects colliding. The third human-faced dog fell to the ground.

Gu Li suddenly flew backward two meters before barely managing to stop by flapping her wings. There seemed to be something about her that particularly attracted them, and the three human-faced dogs completely ignored the barking and spiking Angel next to them.

Six pairs of dark eyes were fixed on the prey in the air. The body was lowered, and a low, threatening sound came from the throat, as if it were ready to attack at any moment.

Gu Li glanced at the tiger's mouth that had been cracked by the excessive force, frowned, and simply guided the blood on it to flow back to the sword. The pain distracted her, but it was no match for the agony of being shot twice and nearly dying that day.

She only hesitated for a moment before quickly regaining her composure and struggling to maneuver among the three human-faced dogs, constantly thinking of a solution in between.

With her frail, malnourished body, if it weren't for the pollution buff, she probably wouldn't have been able to withstand even one of its attacks. Gritting her teeth, she clashed with the claws again, swallowing the bloody taste in her mouth, as Gu Li was sent flying backward and plunged headfirst into the dark sea.

At the same time, Angell's terrified voice rang out: "Miss!"

Something followed closely behind and jumped down with a "plop." A soft, brown body swam quickly toward her. Gu Li blinked slowly, belatedly feeling a needle-like pain all over her body. Blood began to seep from between her fingers, which were tightly gripping the sword hilt.

A small amount of bright red liquid floated in the dark seawater and quickly dissipated, but then a large amount of blood seeped from the skin, directly staining the surroundings a dark red.

Angell stopped a meter away, his face full of anxiety, as if he were blocked by something and could not move forward.

A long thorn protruded from his forehead, and his brown face resembled that of a unicorn. Looking at Gu Li, who was almost covered in blood, not far away, his dark, deep-set eyes began to well up with tears again.

Gu Li could make out increasingly strange words, such as crying out "I'm sorry," "Please hold on," "I'm so sorry," and "How can I live if you die?"

She didn't want a capybara to die with her...

The moment Gu Li fell into the sea, he understood why Angel was so panicked. Beneath the endless black sea, countless forces of pollution were swirling.

What's worse is that the moment she fell in, all those peaceful and dormant powers poured into her body. She could even taste a hint of joy in the actions of these powers, which were far more powerful than she had imagined.

Soon, the not-so-visible seawater was gradually churned up by something. Gu Li, whose whole body was in pain and whose bursting, bloating sensation was driving him crazy, gradually became dazed. The pain that made his body feel like it was about to burst out of its shell disappeared.

Before her eyes floated the unyielding, armed uncle from the Death Plains, the elegant and imposing Erik the Goat-hoof Man, the exceptionally ferocious-looking giant octopus Levi, the all-knowing, pitch-black Cecil, and Angor, protected by her sharp spikes.

They could even see the faces of all the alien species that had been pasted on that morning.

Gu Li hovered in the middle of the dark sea. As her strength gradually faded, she could no longer hold onto her sword. The longsword slipped from her hand and fell into the darkness.

Gu Li stared blankly as the slideshow of his life gradually flashed back to his previous life, where the most frequent image was a lit computer screen with countless horror games on it.

Finally, she saw herself.

A tall, well-fitting woman raised her dark eyes and smiled at her. Every move she made exuded an elegance that was not her own. She leaned over to close her computer, wearing a girlish pink dress that she would never wear, and walked out of the house.
