Chapter 34 Cognitive Change

Even Gu Li, who was a veteran of many horror games, couldn't help but get goosebumps in this eerie environment. She stood still for a moment to determine the direction, and then walked towards the sofa.

She stopped in front of the dark figure, took a deep breath, and calmly looked at the figure that seemed to be swaying slightly: "Senior, by letting me in, you are agreeing to my visit?"

If a tangible gaze were to fall upon her again, even for just a moment, it seemed to evoke the deepest fear in her heart. She instinctively wanted to give herself a burst of starlight, only to realize that she could not summon that power at the moment.

Gu Li tried his best to remain calm and communicate with the dark figure in front of him.

Suddenly, a sighing male voice rang out: "You're the weak-gene human that the King brought back? You were even able to awaken your abilities after being corrupted. You're not as incompetent as you seem."

Gu Li's temple twitched at the personal attack, and before she could refute it, the room was instantly illuminated.

She saw a man sitting not far in front of her. He held a familiar-looking bottle in his slender hand and shook it slightly. The bright red liquid inside rose and fell with the movement. He then brought the bottle to his lips and took a small sip.

"Ah, with the fragrance of a virgin, paired with a pure and unyielding soul, it's truly exquisite."

Gu Li stared at the tall, slender man in the suit in front of her. He had a stag's head on his head, with two curved, forked antlers on top.

No matter how elegant his movements were or how dashing his posture was, when he used his protruding deer-like mouth to carefully taste the blood, Gu Li still felt a slight sense of disappointment.

This deer-headed man, who still retained many human characteristics, saw his level of respect plummet in Gu Li's mind, transforming from a mysterious and powerful BOSS into a powerful pervert with a deer head.

She secretly touched the pocket of her coat; it was left over from the bloodletting and fighting earlier, probably having fallen out accidentally during the struggle.

The deer-headed man only took a small sip, then twisted the bottle back up and carefully put it into his suit pocket.

His doe-like eyes looked at Gu Li, and he straightened up and extended his hand to her: "Hello, Miss Gu Li, I am Cen Xingbang, the actual manager of this city."

Gu Li watched him lean forward slightly, his arrogance tinged with elegance, and her lips twitched involuntarily. What a positive name.

But he is actually the actual administrator of the alien city?

Gu Li reached out and shook hands with him. Cen Xingbang gently squeezed her fingertips before letting go, taking a step back, and gesturing for her to sit on the single sofa next to him.

"Sorry for my rudeness earlier. I hate it when people disturb me while I'm working, so I use my abilities to threaten them to leave. You know, the aliens living in the underground city are all a bit difficult to communicate with."

Whether it was Gu Li's imagination or not, Cen Xingbang gritted his teeth for a moment when he said the words "difficult to communicate with".

Cen Xingbang looked at her with his deer-like eyes, seemingly apologetic, and asked, "Miss Gu Li, what do you want to know here?"

Gu Li was taken aback, not expecting it to be so easy.

"To be honest, Mr. Cen may know that I can still maintain a human form because of the starlight in my body, but since my body has been exposed to a lot of pollution, I can't change back and I can't even use the starlight anymore."

She glanced at her long, sharp, and even powerfully beautiful claws, then looked up at Cen Xingbang: "Mr. Cen, I came here to know how to control my power and turn back into a human."

Gu Li's voice suddenly stopped. Not far away, Mr. Cen's eyes bulged slightly, and his pointed ears stood up straight, looking extremely surprised.

Of course, she could only actually see Mr. Cen's right eye from his direction; she guessed the other eye based on his expression.

Gu Li was somewhat puzzled. If the deer-headed man was in charge of the affairs of the alien city, he should know about her, right?

Perhaps Gu Li's expression was a bit too obvious, because after Cen Xingbang came to his senses, he straightened his collar with both hands, cleared his throat, and looked a little uncomfortable: "I just went on a long trip a while ago and just got back. Sorry, please continue."

Gu Li's gaze fell on his deer head and his body, which was no different from that of an ordinary person. Could this strange creature really travel far?

She received a urging look from the man in charge of the deer, so she lowered her gaze and continued, "I also want to know some news from the outside world."

After listening to her, the deer-headed man pondered for a moment, and then said, "The news from outside is simple. The books here and the recent movements are not secrets. It's just that others don't really need them, so they've left them with me."

"You can have it."

The deer-headed man suddenly stood up. He was very tall, and with his huge horns, he looked even more imposing. After entering the house and realizing that Cen Xingbang was not hostile, Gu Li put away the whales that surrounded him.

At this moment, she was suppressed in place by the oppressive aura unintentionally emanating from the deer-headed man. Her heart was beating a little faster. She gripped her palm tightly with her sharp claws, making sure she could quickly break through the skin and draw blood. She stared intently as the deer-headed man stood in front of her, his non-human pupils fixed on her.

Cen Xingbang's voice sounded somewhat troubled: "As for how to control your power, I do have a method, but I need to investigate it first."

"Pfft—"

The reaction of chestnuts is not equal.

A strange, piercing sound came from inside her body. Gu Li opened her eyes wide and looked down slowly. The pale human hand was now piercing her abdomen.

Pale-faced, she struggled to raise her hand and resist by gripping his wrist. More painful than the churning pain in her stomach was the agony of having her soul seized and examined.
