Gu Li randomly found a spot and tried to return to human form. She put on a short jacket, shorts, and a dress that would allow for easy movement, and tied her light golden hair haphazardly behind her head.
She looked at her limbs, which were as thin and pale as ever, and cautiously walked out of the house. She pushed gently against the wall with her hand and waited for two seconds.
Nothing happened.
Gu Li finally breathed a slight sigh of relief, slung the cross over her shoulder, picked up her suitcase, and turned to leave. At least she was back to normal now.
A rumbling sound suddenly came from behind her. She helplessly rubbed her forehead and turned her head to look: "No way."
She pushed over the wall that had stood firm amidst the piles of construction debris.
She waited for night to fall directly on the street. Sitting on her suitcase, Gu Li clenched her fingers. Mr. Cen was right about one thing: she had much better control over her human form than over her alien form.
At least we won't see a situation where both sides suffer losses if we're not careful anymore.
The black mist swept towards the center under her gaze. She tied the suitcase to her waist with a leather belt and reached behind her to draw two swords.
Her fair hand throbbed, and bright red blood flowed from the cuts made by her fingernails, swirling from the hilt of the sword to the blade.
She summoned the bone whale. Her instincts as a power manipulator made her grip the sword, her toes barely touching the ground as she slightly turned to the side. A sharp claw that attacked from behind grazed her neck.
The short sword, however, pierced through the alien creature's body.
Accompanied by a piercing scream of pain, Gu Li heard a crisp "crack" on his wrist and his face darkened: "Damn it."
Without hesitation, she healed her wrist, memorized the force she had just used, and gradually found the most suitable force in battle.
The closer they got to the lit building, the fewer clicks came from Gu Li's body.
The deer-headed man stood by the window, lightly tapping his fingers: "As expected of a power manipulator, in just one hour, he has already almost mastered the power most suitable for his current body."
