Infected at the start and exiled to the City of Strange Species.
Octopus extended its tentacles: What is this? Let's suck it!
Goat extended its hooves: What is this? Let's suck ...
In the brightly lit consultation room, the three fell into a brief silence.
Gu Li looked at them suspiciously, feeling that they were implying something about him, but he had no evidence.
The deer-headed man reached out and pinched the bridge of his nose. Gu Li took a special look and confirmed that there was no such thing on the deer's head; it was probably just a habitual action.
The door to the consultation room suddenly creaked under its own weight, and with a thud, it fell to the ground amidst the chattering argument.
"You son of a bitch, get off me! Damn it, what bad luck!!!"
"Who?! Who stepped on my tentacle?! It's broken off!!!"
"Excuse me, Lord Levi, I'll get up right away!"
"Damn it, what's so special about you, a little jellyfish? Get those pigs up there to get out of there too!!!"
As the numerous tentacles, spikes, and threads mingled together, seemingly inextricably linked and threatening to become even more chaotic, a shadow suddenly loomed over everyone's heads.
It was a cursed voice, as if blown out of the cracks of hell by the winds of death: "...Didn't you promise that this street would be completed this afternoon?"
Cen Xingbang glanced at the darkening sky, his expression unchanged, but to everyone else, it clearly revealed a sinister intent.
"I see. If you want to work the night shift, remember to take care of the new kids' gadgets while you're at it."
Despair was written on Lancer's face as he was pinned to the bottom, his voice hoarse: "I've fought and bled for our city, and tonight my favorite female streamer is here! You can't do this to me!!!"
When He Wei delivered the nutritional supplements, she also gave Gu Li some small gifts: a federally accepted bracelet, several sets of soft, girly clothes, and a television that could barely receive a signal.
The television was placed in the square for everyone to watch, and Gu Li received a large stack of "good guy" cards for this.
Gu Li never expected that with this TV, which disconnects on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays and barely receives a signal on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, the grumpy old man could catch up with the satellite.
"How fashionable!" Gu Li exclaimed in amazement.
Cen Xingbang glanced at the group above, his eyes narrowing slightly: "Is that what you all think too?"
Levy and the others shook their heads in unison.
Nonsense, they don't like that female anchor named Little Cotton anyway. In fact, they had long lost interest in this TV set that could barely receive Little Cotton's live stream.
Tonight they have arranged to have a celebration banquet with Gu Li, and the chef, of course, is Cen Xingbang, who is unaware of this yet.
But they all heard Gu Li's words outside the door. As they untied the tentacles from the ground in order, their eyes kept glancing at the girl standing in the examination room.
If she were to step in, she might actually be able to procure the supplies.
Levi was quietly pushed out by Lan Meng. Caught off guard, he met the deer-headed man's eyes and shook his limp head: "Um, we're thinking of having a celebration dinner tonight. Mr. Cen, would you like to come and help?"
Lan Meng cast a disdainful look at him. He was so arrogant in front of them, but he was a complete coward in front of Mr. Cen.
Cecil shook the branch. She could sense that Mr. Cen's mood wasn't as bad as it seemed; in fact, one could say he was quite happy.
Cen Xingbang nodded: "Okay, come whenever you finish your work."
The main idea is to turn the tables and take the lead.
Everyone was angry but dared not speak out. Eric, the only one among them who got along well with Mr. Cen, went to the port to collect the goods.
Oh right, the port is gone now. To pick up goods, you have to fly there on the back of a winged creature. The porters are mainly deep-sea aliens, so they're not slow.
Levi had never missed Eric so much. At least ten minutes ago, he was still gloating in his heart for getting ahead of Eric and hearing the young lady's secret.
Gu Li, with her light gold hair tied casually with an obsidian headband, swayed slightly with her movements: "Actually, I'm not hungry."
Anyone who drinks nutritional supplements continuously for a month wouldn't feel hungry, right?
Levi looked over, his eyes full of persuasive charm: "No, you're hungry."
Gu Li stared at him for a while, then finally gave in: "Okay, maybe I'll get hungry soon. Can I get the answer I want before then?"
The last sentence was what she said to Cen Xingbang.
Her expression was slightly tense, as if she was ready to step forward at any moment to interrupt his refusal and then do everything she could to get him to agree.
Cen Xingbang stared at her for a moment, then pushed up his glasses with one hand.
"Since Miss wants to go this way, it seems my opinion has not had the desired effect."
The deer-headed man's expression was somewhat ambiguous, and Gu Li felt a slight pang of guilt.
"I agree."
Gu Li paused for a moment, unable to use any of the coquettish and rolling techniques she had prepared, and could only look up at the deer-headed man with a somewhat blank expression.
Cen Xingbang's eyes were very bright, like a deer head ornament hanging on the wall to show the owner's status, reflecting the flickering firelight from the fireplace.
To use a metaphor from Gu Li, it's like a withered tree coming back to life.
An octopus surnamed Lan, who wished to remain anonymous, chuckled softly: "An old tree blossoms."
Lancer, hands on his hips, spoke in a low, gruff voice: "Why is he laughing so disgustingly?"
Lan Meng rubbed his ears, gave him a disappointed look, and silently took a big step back, leaving everyone in an empty circle around Lan Se.
Lancer was extremely dissatisfied: "What are you doing? Isolating me?!"
Without thinking twice, Gu Li jumped up excitedly and scrambled onto Cen Xingbang's shoulder: "Great! Don't worry, I'll get whatever it is for us!"
