Tian Yu, an orphan, transmigrated to another world after a car accident. She woke up to find herself with a 5-year-old son and a husband who had long disappeared.
Just as she was about to sta...
Zhao Moyan slowly picked up the item, wiped it clean, then took Tian Yu's hand and gently placed it in her palm. Tian Yu looked at the item in her hand in surprise and said, "It's peanuts!"
"It's yours!" Zhao Moyan said immediately with a smile.
The men laughed and joked, "This Marquis already has a son, so he doesn't need one. Why don't you give him to me?" said the Third Prince.
"Third Brother doesn't understand. The Marquis is planning to have a few more children with Mr. Tian," said the Sixth Prince.
"Go Tianyu!" The princess smiled at Tianyu.
Tian Yu blushed at the teasing. She couldn't accept the peanuts, but if she didn't, Zhao Moyan would probably get angry, and she would lose face in front of so many people!
Just as they were hesitating about what to do, Tangyuan ran in excitedly and said, "Mommy, look! I found a golden bean in my dumpling, and Xuanyu found one too. He gave it to the Seventh Prince." Zhao Moyan took the opportunity to hold Tianyu's hand, and Tianyu gripped the peanut in her hand tightly.
“Yes! Both Tangyuan and I have golden beans,” the Seventh Prince said happily.
The group looked at each other, seemingly having given up hope. Suddenly, the Sixth Prince said, "There's still one wish-fulfilling pearl." He then ate all the dumplings on the table, but still couldn't get any.
No one else got to eat any either. Everyone was curious about where the lucky bead had gone. They had finished all the dumplings but still hadn't seen the bead. So they started to suspect that Tian Yu might have put it in. Tian Yu insisted that she had put it in, since she had made the dumplings herself, there was no mistake. But where did the bead go?
Everyone began to suspect that someone might have accidentally swallowed it. While the entire Qinyuan was searching for the Ruyi Pearl, the Tang siblings arrived. Zhao Moyan and Tian Yu went out to greet them. Tian Yu thought they must have come for Li Xingyun, so she sent someone to inform Li Xingyun. Sure enough, after a few polite words, Tang Wenli said, "Brother Li, he..."
“My brother hasn’t been feeling well lately and is resting in his room. I’ll send someone to fetch him right away.”
"No need to trouble yourself. Wanying and I have some things we'd like to discuss with him privately. If you don't mind?"
"I don't mind! I'll take you there right away." After Tian Yu finished speaking, she remembered that the princess was still there and couldn't help but take another look at the princess. From the beginning, the princess had been looking around and her eyes were darting around. Tian Yu could tell that she was looking for Li Xingyun. Now that she heard that Li Xingyun was not feeling well, she was even more restless, but she didn't dare to show it, after all, the three princes were still there.
Tian Yu gave Zhao Moyan a look before leading the Tang siblings to Li Xingyun's courtyard. Xiao Wu stood in front of the door, looking up and saying, "My young master said he won't see anyone." He seemed still angry about what Tian Yu had said about Li Xingyun earlier.
“You didn’t tell him that the Tang siblings had come.”
"I said I won't see you!"
Unable to contain his anger, Tian pushed Xiao Wu aside, patted the door and said, "Brother, I apologize to you. Please come out quickly. It's the New Year, don't be so petty. Lord Tang and Miss Tang have come to wish you a Happy New Year. Come out and see."
After waiting for a long time, Tian Yu kept explaining the reason to the Tang siblings with a smile. Finally, Li Xingyun opened the door and came out. Tian Yu smiled and said, "I have something to do. You two chat!" After saying that, she grabbed Xiao Wu and left quickly.
The group in the front yard, having finished their dumplings, sat idly drinking tea in the living room. Zhao Moyan and Prince Wu had already started playing chess. Seeing Tian Yu return, the Sixth Prince stood up and said, "We came all this way just to join in the fun. We've already eaten the colorful dumplings. Mr. Tian, do you have anything else to do to pass the time?"
"Huh!? Aren't you leaving yet? Are you all alright?"
"What could possibly happen during the New Year? Every year it's the same few programs in the palace: either singing and dancing or riddles," said the Sixth Prince.
"Is that so? How about we drink and compose poetry together?" Tian Yu said.
"Oh no! Who in the whole world can write poetry as well as you?" said the Third Prince.
"Hmm! What should we play? Let me think?" Tian Yu thought seriously.
"Sixth Brother, why don't we go back? Let's not make things difficult for Tian Yu." The princess thought Tian Yu had no other choice, so she stepped forward to persuade her.
“Princess, don’t be shy! Want to play? I’m an expert at it. I just don’t know if you guys are smart enough to learn it,” Tian Yu hurriedly said.
“Don’t underestimate us. Although we can’t write poetry like you, we’ve been well-versed in the Four Books and Five Classics since childhood. We may not be considered learned scholars, but we’re still half-learned,” the Sixth Prince retorted.
"Alright! You wait here, I'll be right back."
Tian Yu ran back to her room and called over several servants to help her make several decks of cards. Then, she presented them to them like a treasure. The Sixth Prince, curious, took one to look at it first and asked, "What is this?"
The princess and the third prince watched curiously. Tian Yu explained everything to them, then went over the rules again, and said that whoever lost would have a piece of paper stuck to their face. The two princes said they could try, but the princess was a little timid and shook her head. However, this game required four people, and seeing that the two who were focused on the chess game didn't seem to have much of a chance, they could only drag the princess along.
The first two rounds didn't go well, but gradually the four of them got into the game and had a lot of fun. After a few rounds, the Sixth Prince and the Third Prince had notes stuck to their faces. The Princess and Tian Yu's family escaped the fate of having notes stuck to their faces. The Third Prince said angrily, "Sixth Prince! Put your mind to it!"
“I did pass, it was clearly you who couldn’t stop me,” the Sixth Prince retorted, equally unconvinced.
"Alright! One more round. I refuse to believe I can't beat you two women." Even the usually good-tempered Third Prince was starting to get impatient.
Tian Yu and the princess were laughing so hard they were almost out of breath. The princess tried to hold it in at first, but she couldn't help but burst out laughing. The two who were engrossed in their chess game also looked over frequently when they heard their laughter, and they couldn't help but smile when they saw the two princes.
