Tian Yu, an orphan, transmigrated to another world after a car accident. She woke up to find herself with a 5-year-old son and a husband who had long disappeared.
Just as she was about to sta...
The Crown Prince, trying to please her, prepared a lavish breakfast, but Tian Yu couldn't eat a single bite. After Li Weiwei woke up, and the imperial physician and Li Xingyun confirmed that everything was alright, she returned to her room and fell asleep immediately. While Tian Yu slept, the entire capital was abuzz with news that Li Xingyun had given birth to the Crown Prince's concubine via cesarean section the previous night. Everything about Li Xingyun was quickly unearthed, and his reputation as a divine physician resounded throughout the Wu Kingdom and even its neighboring states. His sister, Tian Yu, gained an even greater air of mystery.
Tian Yu was awakened again by the noise outside. Still groggy, she went outside and grabbed a passing palace maid, asking, "What happened?"
"Something has happened to Consort Li."
Upon hearing this, Tian Yu instantly sobered up and ran into Li Weiwei's palace. Only after entering did she hear shouting inside. Li Weiwei was throwing a tantrum, smashing things, and the Crown Prince was too angry to go in. A palace maid carefully carried out a broken medicine bowl. Hearing her loud, powerful voice, Tian Yu breathed a sigh of relief and stepped inside. Seeing it was Tian Yu, Li Weiwei became even angrier and shouted, "Tian Yu, I'm going to kill you!" But as soon as she finished shouting, she lay down in pain, too afraid to move.
Tian Yu sat down on a stool in the living room and said, "You have a scar on your stomach. It hasn't healed yet. If you keep shouting and yelling like this, and it ruptures open, no one can save you. You'll be the first person in Wu Kingdom to die with their stomach cut open, and you'll be remembered in history."
Li Weiwei was so angry that she was panting. She said, "Tian Yu, I hate you. I'm going to kill you. You just wait."
"Okay, I'll wait."
"Don't think that just because you've done this, you're the Crown Princess."
"What else?"
"If it weren't for the Emperor, do you think the Crown Prince would have taken a liking to you! The Crown Prince would find you disgusting. Don't you even look at the entire Eastern Palace? Who isn't better than you? Besides writing a few poems, what else can you do? Now that you've ruined me like this, I won't let you get away with it, and neither will the Li family."
"Is that so? Fine, I'll wait and see. You can settle the score with me when you're all better! Although you're awake, it doesn't mean you're alright. If your wound reopens or gets infected, even a miracle won't save you. Then, the position of Crown Princess will definitely be mine."
Li Weiwei had calmed down; she understood this basic principle. The crown prince outside the door left with a wicked smile, leaving behind the words, "Interesting! Interesting!"
Li Weiwei looked at Tian Yu, who was far away from her, and turned her face away, saying, "You ruined me! I hate you! How can I ever face anyone again? The Crown Prince will never come to see me again! Do you even know that?"
"I don't know, and I don't want to know. All I know is that your parents don't want you to die!"
Three days later, after confirming that Li Weiwei was safe, Tian Yu asked the Emperor for permission to leave the palace. The Emperor readily agreed, but kept hinting to Tian Yu that he hoped she could persuade Zhao Moyan to get married as soon as possible, since the Cui family's daughter was not young and could not wait.
Tian Yu understood that this meant she wouldn't be able to leave the palace unless she agreed to persuade Zhao Moyan. Tian Yu smiled and nodded in agreement, but indicated that she could only do her best.
After returning to the East Palace and packing her things, Tian Yu prepared to go find Li Xingyun. Before she could even leave the room, she was blocked by the Crown Prince. The Crown Prince came in and closed the door. Tian Yu took a step back and asked, "Does Your Highness have something to say?"
"I heard that my Crown Princess is leaving, so I came to see her."
"Consort Li is alright, and the child is healthy. I have other matters to attend to, so I'll head back now." Tian Yu walked past the Crown Prince, intending to leave.
The Crown Prince grabbed Tian Yu and pulled her back to his side, saying with a smile, "No rush, we haven't had a proper chat yet."
"Your Highness, please have some self-respect!" Tian Yu said, stepping back.
"You are my future Crown Princess, why should I be self-respecting?"
We're not married yet.
“I can arrange for Father to marry us right now.”
"Consort Li has just given birth and needs care. Your Highness should take good care of her first."
"What, are you jealous?"
"If there's nothing else, I'll be going now." Tian Yu didn't want to waste time talking to him; Li Xingyun was still waiting for her.
The crown prince suddenly approached Tian Yu and said, "Tian Yu, you can't escape. Sooner or later you'll be mine."
"Crown Prince!" Tian Yu said angrily, taking another step back.
"You've already hit me and bitten me, you should take responsibility, shouldn't you?" The Crown Prince said with a smile, looking down at Tian Yu.
Tian Yu found his handsome smile rather irritating, so she smiled back and said, "Okay, I'll take responsibility. Just don't let the Crown Prince run away!"
After asking the Crown Prince to return to Qinyuan, Tian Yu finally felt exhausted. She took a bath and went to sleep, only to wake up at dusk. Remembering the Emperor's instructions, she hurriedly ate a few bites of pastry and went out. She hesitated for a long time in front of the Marquis's residence, just about to ask if the Marquis was home, when the guard said, "Princess Consort, my Marquis is not home."
Judging from their expressions, they must know her. Tian Yu could only smile and say goodbye. She was actually relieved not to see them. She wandered around the streets for a while. Tomorrow was the New Year, and the streets were very lively. Tian Yu walked to the orphans' residence and saw that they were having dinner. She ate dinner with them and told them stories before leaving.
The next day, New Year's Eve, Qinyuan was much quieter than the previous year. Tangyuan was not there, and she didn't dare to see Zhao Moyan. She could only sit alone in the courtyard drinking and listening to the lively firecrackers outside. Li Xingyun saw her and said, "Tianyu, it's getting late. Go back and rest."
"Brother, do you want some? This wine is delicious," Tian Yu said, raising the wine jug. Then, suddenly remembering something, she grinned foolishly and said, "I forgot, my brother doesn't like to drink."
Li Xingyun took the wine from Tian Yu's hand, drank it down in one gulp, and said, "Alright, you don't need to drink anymore. Qiu Ju, help her back."
