After Li Yong left, Tian Yu sighed, and Chen Chong's stern face softened. At the place where they bought clothes that morning, Tian Yu went in and bought two more outfits and two pairs of shoes. Chen Chong didn't ask any questions, but Tangyuan asked curiously, "Mommy, didn't you already buy clothes? Why are you buying more?"

Tian Yu recognized him as the renowned Physician Li; he certainly looked like a doctor, with a long beard, dressed in plain clothes, and his gray hair neatly combed and tied back. Tian Yu felt he resembled an old sage from the mountains. The three of them dared not make a sound, stepped forward, bowed, and explained their purpose. Physician Li stroked his beard and said, "So you're the young lady who's trying to ruin my reputation."

"Ah, it's a misunderstanding, a misunderstanding. I was just speaking nonsense in a moment of panic. Please forgive me, Doctor."

"They're in the backyard, they'll be out in a bit, you guys wait here." After saying that, he continued reading his TCM book. If you ignored his age, his appearance and demeanor were really similar to Li Xingyun's, even the way he read was the same.

"Okay, no rush, we'll wait."

Sure enough, a moment later, Xiao Wu ran out, saw them, and ran back to inform them. The three of them then emerged from the back. Tian Yu was somewhat at a loss, and quickly helped the old woman up with Chen Chong, telling them not to kowtow, as it would shorten her lifespan. The three then stood up, wiping away tears. Tian Yu asked if they had eaten. They all nodded and said they had. She had Tang Yuan give them the food she had, telling them to take it and wait in the carriage; they would be home soon. After seeing them onto the carriage, she turned back to look at the sickly young master Li Xingyun, who had come out from behind. She walked up to him, took out the five taels of silver she had prepared, and added an extra tael as payment for their meal. Li Xingyun didn't ask for much, only five taels. He was puzzled as to how she had obtained the money so quickly. Tian Yu reassured him that she had earned it through hard work. Li Xingyun looked skeptical, glancing at Chen Chong behind Tian Yu before handing the jade pendant to her. Tian Yu took the pendant, examined it carefully, and showed it to Chen Chong before putting it on and tucking it into her clothes. Li Xingyun, still seated in his wheelchair, watched Tian Yu's every move with great interest. As she finished putting away the pendant and prepared to leave, he said, "Wait, I've prepared an extra dose of medicine here. The old man can take it after another half month, once he's recovered."

"What medicine?"

"These are for strengthening the body's foundation and nourishing its vitality. The old woman has been working hard all year round, and her body has long been overdrawn. We don't know how much longer she can live. These can only keep her alive temporarily, not for long."

After thinking for a while and considering the old man's condition, Tian Yu decided not to press the matter further and said, "Okay, I understand. How much?"

"I won't charge you, it's free!" He then raised an eyebrow at Tian Yu.

"That's great, thank you so much!" Tian Yu quickly took it from Xiao Wu's hand. Xiao Wu still looked arrogant, but he didn't say much.

"They won't take down my signboard."

Tian Yu thought that since he was kind and a miracle doctor, he should be good-hearted, especially since she had already spent ten taels of silver.

"Give it to her!" Li Xingyun instructed Xiao Wu with a smile.

"Take that green bottle."

"Young Master!" Seeing that he couldn't persuade his young master, and that the master was also silent, Xiao Wu reluctantly walked up to Tian Yu, refusing to hand over the bottle of wound medicine as if it were a precious treasure. The carriage had gone quite a distance when Tian Yu could only hear the waiter Xiao Wu complaining. Tian Yu thought to herself, "This stingy fellow is even more miserly than his master. What a good servant he is."
