In the following days, Tian Yu would visit Qiu Xue whenever she had free time. After spending a few days together, the two became close friends who could talk about anything. The palace was strict, and Qiu Xue was especially harsh on the palace staff. Tian Yu would always secretly bring them some food, saving some for herself.

"I brought you roast chicken today, Rong'er, come and eat."

The young palace maid was no longer timid. She knew there would be good food when she saw Tian Yu, and she was very happy. Qiu Xue had recovered and was able to get out of bed and walk around. She was also happy to see Tian Yu. In this vast palace, they had finally found a friend they could confide in, and they were becoming more and more energetic.

"Tian Yu, you're here. Please have a seat."

"Mmm, this roast chicken smells amazing, you should try it," Tian Yu said, offering one leg to Qiu Xue.

Rong'er laughed and said, "Your Highness, you're drooling."

"No, you should eat too."

The three of them laughed and finished the roast chicken. Rong'er was busy tidying up, while Tian Yu and Qiu Xue sat on the porch looking at the stars. Tian Yu sighed, "The starry sky is so beautiful tonight. I wonder if he can see it."

"Who? The Marquis?"

Tian Yu smiled but did not answer. Qiu Xue thought for a moment and said, "Tian Yu, I've always wanted to ask you, why did you agree to become the Crown Princess?"

"Then how did you become the Crown Princess?"

“Me?! I came to the Wu Kingdom as a princess for a political marriage, and it was only natural that I was to marry the crown prince. I had no choice at all.”

"You don't like the Crown Prince?"

Qiu Xue shook her head and said, "You like him?"

Tian Yu shook her head and said, "I have someone I like, but I was forced to become the Crown Princess."

Tian Yu ran over and pulled Rong'er up, asking, "What's wrong? What happened to Qiu Xue?"

"The Crown Prince... His Highness the Crown Prince, His Highness the Crown Prince..." Before Rong'er could finish speaking, Tian Yu pushed aside the palace servants blocking her way and ran out. She reached Qiu Xue's palace gate, which was not closed, and the eunuchs beside the Crown Prince were standing outside. Tian Yu didn't have time to think. She grabbed a broom from the courtyard, pushed aside the eunuchs blocking her way, and rushed inside.

Seeing the Crown Prince straddling Qiu Xue and tearing at her clothes, Qiu Xue stared blankly upwards. Tian Yu stepped forward and pulled the Crown Prince down, causing him to fall off the bed unexpectedly. Instead of being angry, the Crown Prince smiled, stood up, dusted himself off, and said, "You've come at the right time. Both of my Crown Princesses are here. Very well, let's go together."

Tian Yu glanced at the dazed Qiu Xue, covered her with a blanket, turned around and pointed at the Crown Prince with a broom, saying, "Shameless and despicable, get out!"

"I am the Crown Prince!"
