Chapter 65 Breaking in

Zhao Moyan handed Zhao Sibao over to the soldiers patrolling the city nearby, and then sent someone to inform Zhao Jincheng before heading to Lin Youdao's residence. With Prince Wu and Zhao Moyan present, things went smoothly for them. They stormed into the Lin residence, and a servant rushed towards Tian Yu. Zhao Moyan tried to pull Tian Yu away, but Prince Wu kicked the servant away first. Zhao Moyan felt inexplicably angry. The servants who came next were knocked to the ground by Zhao Moyan before they could even get close, screaming and yelling. Seeing this, the servants dared not interfere. A fierce look appeared in Zhao Moyan's eyes.

Lin Youdao and his concubine were chatting and laughing in the living room when Tian Yu and the others suddenly burst in, startling him. However, he quickly calmed down and shouted, "How dare you! Who are you to cause trouble in my mansion? Do you have a death wish?"

"Where is Zhao Jinxiu?!" Zhao Moyan didn't want to listen to his nonsense, so he took a step forward, grabbed him, and pinned him to the table, asking.

"What Zhao Jinxiu? I don't know her! Let me go! Someone, help me!" Lin Youdao cried out.

"I'll ask you one more time, where is Zhao Jinxiu!" Zhao Moyan tightened his grip and asked angrily. Tian Yu had never seen him so angry before, and his voice was so fierce. She thought he must be worried that something had happened to Zhao Jinxiu.

"Hey! Hey! Hey! Be gentle! Be gentle! I really don't know," Lin Youdao shouted as he spoke.

"I think you won't shed a tear until you see the coffin," Zhao Moyan said, pulling out the dagger he always carried and sticking it into the table.

Lin Youdao was so frightened that he trembled, and his concubine, who was also pale with fright, said, "Master, please tell us!"

Lin Youdao looked at his concubine reproachfully and said, "I'll talk, I'll talk. It's...it's in the woodshed in the backyard."

After saying that, Zhao Moyan released him and asked him to lead the way. Tian Yu and Prince Wu followed closely behind. Tian Yu was frightened by Zhao Moyan's overreaction. She had always thought he was a gentle and refined gentleman and almost forgot that he was the Marquis of Zhenbei who fought on the battlefield. Tian Yu thought that he must really like Zhao Jinxiu to be in such a hurry.

In Zhao Moyan's heart, he was still furious because Prince Wu had saved Tian Yu first, and he just wanted to end this matter as soon as possible and take Tian Yu away. So he was angry when he saw Lin Youdao. If it weren't for him, Tian Yu should be at home with him, eating and writing with Tangyuan, a happy family of three, instead of being here being targeted by others.

The group made their way to the woodshed in the backyard. Zhao Moyan kicked open the door; it was dark inside. He grabbed a servant's torch and went inside. Tian Yu followed. She saw Zhao Jinxiu lying on the haystack, her clothes disheveled, her hair loose, and her face bruised. She looked like she had been abused. Tian Yu thought to herself, "Lin Youdao must have hurt her!" Zhao Jinxiu's eyes were closed; it was unclear whether she was asleep or unconscious. Tian Yu wanted to go check on Zhao Jinxiu, but Zhao Moyan, beside her, took off his outer garment first and knelt down to cover Zhao Jinxiu.

At this moment, several rats in the room were startled and scurried around. Tian Yu, still in a daze, was terrified of these creatures; they were filthy and disgusting. Without thinking, she screamed and jumped onto a nearby stool, then, feeling unsafe, jumped onto the table. Zhao Moyan turned to look at Tian Yu, who, seeing the strange looks from the newly arrived Prince Wu and Zhao Moyan, explained, "There...there are rats!"

"You're afraid of mice!" Prince Wu said with a smile, as if he had discovered a new continent.

"I...I'm not afraid! I just feel disgusted," Tian Yu explained, but still didn't want to get down, so she simply squatted on the table. At this moment, Zhao Jinxiu was awakened and saw Zhao Moyan squatting beside her. She hugged Zhao Moyan tightly and cried, "Brother Moyan, Brother Moyan, did you come to save me?"

"Alright! It's alright now." Zhao Moyan pulled her away and helped her up.

"Brother Moyan! Brother Moyan!" Zhao Jinxiu cried again in Zhao Moyan's arms.

Prince Wu smiled and looked at Tian Yu, who also smiled foolishly at him. Then he reached out his hand and said, "The rat has run away, you can get down now, or I'll carry you out."

"No need! No need! I can get down by myself." Tian Yu knew this wouldn't do, so she quickly jumped off the table. Zhao Moyan couldn't get away and could only watch them.

At this moment, Master Lin outside the door seemed to have come to his senses and summoned his servants to take them all down. Tian Yu looked at Zhao Moyan and Zhao Jinxiu, who was still crying on his body. Zhao Moyan kept comforting her, saying, "Don't worry! It's alright!" Tian Yu didn't know who he was saying this to, and silently turned her head away, not wanting to look at them anymore.

Prince Wu leaned closer and said with a smile, "It's alright! If a fight breaks out later, just stand behind me and I'll protect you."

"Thank you, Your Highness!" Tian Yu said with an awkward smile.

Before they could even make a move, a group of soldiers stormed in, led by Li Yong and Zhao Jincheng. The matter was quickly resolved, but Zhao Jinxiu refused to say anything when asked, instead crying in Zhao Moyan's arms. The others were at a loss. Zhao Jincheng, enraged by his sister's state, wanted to kill Lin Youdao, but Li Yong stopped him. Seeing Zhao Jinxiu like this, they couldn't keep dragging it out. Tian Yu thought for a moment and said, "Why don't you send Miss Jinxiu back first, and we'll handle things here?"

“I think it’s a good idea! Your Excellency should send this girl back first. I’ll handle things here. Don’t worry, I’ll personally take her back later,” said Prince Wu, looking at Tian Yu.

Zhao Moyan's expression changed upon hearing this, and he said coldly, "Li Yong, send someone to take Madam back first!"

“Yes! It’s not safe here, sister-in-law, let me take you back first,” Li Yong said.

“But I…” Tian Yu wanted to say something more.

Zhao Moyan interrupted, "Tangyuan is still waiting for you at home. You've been out for so long, I wonder how Tangyuan is doing?"

"Alright! I'll head back now. Take good care of Jinxiu." Tian Yu remembered that Tangyuan was still waiting for her at home, and thought it best to go back quickly, after all, her son was the most important!
