Chapter 141 Unexpectedly Exposed

The flickering flames outlined the serene silhouette of the blonde woman. She looked up and noticed the approaching vehicle, her expression suddenly changing.

The soup bowl she was holding tightly began to tilt uncontrollably, and the hot soup that had been steadily contained inside seemed to have found an outlet to escape its restraints, flowing down the side of the bowl.

"You...you all!" The blonde woman's eyes were filled with fear, her voice trembling uncontrollably, filled with undisguised horror.

After Xi Xi got out of the car, the blonde woman took a step back in surprise, her eyes widened, and she put down her soup bowl and stood up.

She pointed directly at the RV that Xi Xi had driven up, her body involuntarily shrinking back: "Didn't you... just drive past? How... how did you come back this way again?!"

It seems the blonde woman hasn't quite grasped the current situation.

Xi Xi did not rush to answer her question, but silently lowered her head and focused her gaze on the campfire carefully built with stones next to the blonde woman.

The campfire formed a perfect circle, exactly the same size as the black charred mark she remembered witnessing with her mother, Xi Ma.

Immediately afterwards, Xi Xi raised her head again and turned her gaze to the huge rock next to her.

Sure enough, a large chunk of the moss that had grown on that huge rock was missing.

Xi Xi became even more convinced of her own suspicions.

"When did you arrive here?" Xi Xi looked around before slowly shifting her gaze to the blonde woman in front of her.

The blonde woman kept her lips tightly closed, remaining silent, her eyes filled with vigilance.

"Didn't you notice anything strange about this place?" Xi Xi glanced at the grain stew simmering in her campfire and thought the girl was really oblivious. "Didn't you encounter anything strange?"

Perhaps because of Xi Xi's slightly oppressive tone, the blonde woman seemed to be frightened and involuntarily took a step back.

Upon seeing this, Chu Zhiqin, who had been sitting comfortably in the car, quickly moved to the driver's seat, reached out and opened the car window, and with a kind smile on her face, she chuckled and tried to smooth things over.

Even so, the blonde woman remained highly vigilant. She cautiously turned her head, looking past Xi Xi's figure, towards the direction where Chu Zhiqin was.

In an instant, she stared wide-eyed as if she had seen something shocking.

"You're Xi Xi?!" the blonde woman suddenly exclaimed.

Now it was Xi Xi's turn to be surprised. She looked at the blonde woman in front of her in disbelief, racking her brains to recall when she had accidentally revealed her true identity.

Xi Xi was completely baffled. Could it be the license plate number? No, that couldn't be right. Nobody knew she was the first in the milestone race, let alone the license plate number.

The blonde woman walked past Xi Xi and went straight to the front of Xi Xi's RV. Through the clear glass window, she stretched out her slender finger and pointed to a Doraemon comic book placed inside the vehicle. Her joyful voice rang out: "This is my book!"

Upon hearing this, Xi Xi was first taken aback, then suddenly turned her head as if waking from a dream, looking at the blonde woman with a face full of astonishment and disbelief, and tentatively asked, "Sallyman?"

What a small world...

The blonde woman smiled and nodded, but then became somewhat flustered.

Xi Xi opened the private message window with some suspicion and sent an emoji. Soon after, Shaliman sent a friend request, and they finally confirmed each other's true identities.

At this moment, Xi Xi turned her gaze to the person in front of her again, recalling the scene when she communicated with him through the light screen.

In her memory, Sallyman was taciturn, and even when she replied, it was only a few words. Because of this, Xi Xi had always thought of Sallyman as a cold, aloof, and arrogant woman.

Although the blonde woman in front of her had a cool short haircut and a very tall figure, even more than half a head taller than her, she did not actually show the slightest bit of arrogance.

Xi Xi was somewhat shocked. This "cool sister" didn't seem as "cool" as she had imagined. Instead, there was a sense of awkwardness and social anxiety between them.

Could it be that her previous silence was due to social anxiety, preventing her from speaking?

Xi Xi was horrified; she had completely misjudged the situation… She had thought that this Sallyman was cold-hearted and naturally quiet.

Xi Xi looked up at the comic book in the car and said, "Sorry, I read it a little slowly."

Sallyman smiled and shook her head, indicating that she didn't mind. She remained as quiet as ever, but her eyes flickered with a hint of gratitude that Xi Xi couldn't quite understand.

Sallyman hadn't forgotten how Xi Xi's chocolate bar had saved her from dire straits.

After all, things are different now than before. Everyone is busy traveling every day, and they are so busy with trivial matters that they have almost no free time. They only have a little time to read comics at night, so she can understand that they read them slowly.

However, what Sallyman didn't know was that Xi Xi was actually in a difficult position to speak. She wasn't holding the comic book to pass the time; she was actually doing drawing practice...

She often copied the comic book while secretly thinking to herself that she must draw down every seemingly useful scene so that she could return the comic book as soon as possible.

Unfortunately, her drawing skills were truly underwhelming. And so, before long, the process became sluggish.

"So you didn't notice anything strange?" However, this wasn't the time to discuss comics. Xi Xi's expression suddenly turned serious, and she asked Sallyman again, "When did you arrive here?"
