After six years in the apocalypse, Xi Xi tragically died at the hands of her aunt's family. Unexpectedly, she was reborn on the day the apocalypse began. Just as she was preparing to leverage h...
The white-haired NPC told the Liu sisters that she could give it a try, but she needed a bowl of algae-roasted milk, a decent set of clothes, and a Sea Town Soul Pearl.
Liu Yunyan : "@Xi Xizao Gui roasted milk, of course we have it. As for clothes, we don't have any extra, but we were lucky and managed to get some from the trading hall."
Liu Yunyan : "But, that Sea Town Soul Pearl is really nowhere to be found. I can't find it anywhere. I even asked in the public chat, but no one answered. My screen was just flooded with messages..."
The Sea Town Soul Pearl... is an item that can only be crafted with the help of an advanced workbench, and the materials are not easy to obtain. Naturally, very few people on the public chat understand the ins and outs of it.
Xi Xi swiftly opened her golden lucky bag and began searching carefully. Before long, she pulled out four shallow-sea crystals and the only deep-sea crystal.
She explained why Yoo Eun-hee was able to obtain deep-sea crystals by killing sea spiders in the caveāit turned out it was "script requirement," haha!
But if there are deep-sea crystals, there should be shallow-sea crystals too.
Xi Xi thought for a moment, then took a picture of a shallow sea crystal and sent a private message: "I'll handle the matter of the Sea Town Soul Pearl. There should be something like this in the cave you're in , look for it."
To craft a Sea Town Soul Pearl, you need 1 Shallow Sea Crystal, 1 Deep Sea Crystal, and 1 of any four types of seaweed.
Hiss... What about the seaweed? Xi Xi was a little doubtful. Even if it was a cave where the mountains and the sea met, it was still a cave. How could there be seaweed in a cave?
Currently, even Xi Xi only has seaweed, specifically sea grapes.
The white algae and duckweed in her fish tank, although they are algae, are unfortunately freshwater species. Xi Xi had previously tried to use these freshwater algae to "misrepresent" the species, but her advanced tool table simply wouldn't recognize them.
But it's just seaweed, Xi Xi thought it wouldn't be difficult.
Even though seaweed grows in large patches, it does take some effort to collect four different types, but compared to other ethereal items, seaweed that can be seen and touched is much easier to obtain.
As Xi Xi pondered her plan, she subconsciously turned her gaze to the window.
Perhaps she could take advantage of today to go into the sea and collect some seaweed?
A thick layer of gray fog shrouded the sea, with fine, dense rain weaving together, giving this boundless sea a mysterious and eerie veil.
Ugh... It looks cold.
"Mom!" Xi Xi said as she put on her coat and went downstairs.
Chu Zhiqin woke up early as expected and was busy in the kitchen area: "You're awake! Hurry up and wash up. I just glanced at the map and the direction of the cross-sea bridge is starting to deviate. We'll probably be at the fork in the road soon!"
"Look at the weather! It's raining, and with yesterday's fog, I was shocked when I looked out just now. The RV's battery was almost depleted! Luckily, I managed to recharge it with my Thunder Fang Mace... With this rain, we're probably going to get soaked to the bone during our party!"
Chu Zhiqin complained irritably as she turned off the induction cooker.
Xi Xi was a little confused about her mother's "morning grumpiness," but then she looked at the little white duck next to her and understood.
The little white duck seemed to have just flown back from outside; water droplets still clung to its white feathers, making a mess all over the RV floor. It had probably been severely scolded by Xi's mother, and was now curled up on a dry towel, rubbing itself against the towel with a guilty look on its face.
Xi Xi glanced at Aura on the cat tree with amusement. No wonder the calico cat, who never seemed to mind making a fuss, hadn't come over to join in; it was asleep.
There seemed to be some small pieces of dried fish left in the cat food bowl, looking like it had been kept up all night and had been generously rewarded by Xi's mom.
Just then, the rain at sea seemed to intensify.
Xi Xi snapped out of her reverie and looked out the window again. Every raindrop felt like a heavy lead weight, crashing heavily onto the sea and creating countless tiny splashes. "It's alright. It's good that it's raining. I guess the salt mist and crystals will all dissipate."
As soon as he finished speaking, the RV shook violently.
Driven by the wind and rain, the waves became turbulent, and the RV looked like a lone boat, teetering on the verge of capsizing.
The distant horizon disappeared into the rain, and the sky and sea seemed to merge into one, making it impossible to distinguish where the sky ended and the sea began.
"Let's wait and see. Anyway, there's no sun today. After the smoke clears up, we'll go down to the bridge. Maybe we can find shelter from the rain there." Xi Xi sat at the dining table and accepted the beef vermicelli that Chu Zhiqin handed her.
The fans were so hot that Xi Xi's fingers turned slightly red, and she couldn't help but pinch her cool earlobes to cool them down.
"No way!" Chu Zhiqin deftly took off her kitchen apron, picked up a rag to wipe her hands, and then looked out the window. "You saw how the bridge was shaking so badly yesterday because of the salt crystallization! What if we drive under the bridge and it collapses, and we get crushed?"
No sooner had the words left his mouth than a bolt of lightning ripped across the sky, illuminating the rolling waves around the RV, followed by a deafening clap of thunder that unsettled everyone.
The words caught in Xi Xi's throat from the thunder, and she swallowed them back.
She wanted to tell her mother that it would be best if they could do what Li Jinshao did, rush out of the smoke zone first, and then drive towards the bridge, then they would be safe.
However, when she looked up at the sky following the sound of thunder, she couldn't help but frown.
A thick fog spread out, blending into the gloomy sky. Presumably, by this time, the salt crystals had long since dissolved and disappeared under the continuous rain.
As a result, trying to see the cross-sea bridge from the sea and pinpoint the salt fog zone is practically impossible.
