After six years in the apocalypse, Xi Xi tragically died at the hands of her aunt's family. Unexpectedly, she was reborn on the day the apocalypse began. Just as she was preparing to leverage h...
After finishing her noodles, Xi Xi licked her lips contentedly. She stood up, took out a cleaning talisman, washed the pots and pans, packed her things, and said goodbye to Wang Dashan and his wife.
"They're leaving already?" Wang Dashan and Cuihua were taken aback by the swift and decisive actions of Xi Xi and her daughter.
This was supposed to be a farewell dinner?! Now they were completely relieved.
Once they were some distance away, Chu Zhiqin quietly asked Xi Xi about the details.
While cautiously observing her surroundings, Xi Xi described the couple's fighting prowess to her mother in detail, concluding that they were not to be underestimated.
She noticed that the two men had a unique stance, with their weight concentrated on the triangular area inside their feet. This is a habit typically observed only by those trained in Sanda (Chinese kickboxing).
This stance is beneficial for explosive power and turning movements, while untrained people mostly have a loose stance, unstable center of gravity, and are easily pushed over or lose their balance.
Furthermore, upon closer inspection, one can see that Wang Dashan has obvious calluses on his fists and the backs of his hands. These calluses are not related to daily farm work, but rather appear to be calluses that have grown from long-term clenching and striking.
"I didn't expect that they wouldn't even take off their masks while eating. I guess the difference between the upper and lower halves of their faces is really big... But their dialect is very authentic, so they might really be from that area." Xi Xi crossed the hill, deftly opened a can of refreshing soda, and handed it to the panting Chu Zhiqin.
Chu Zhiqin doesn't really like sparkling water, but believing that it can boost her energy, she downed it in one gulp.
"I couldn't see very clearly from behind the rocks," Chu Zhiqin said softly, her face scrunched up by the smell of carbonated drinks. "But it's fortunate that those two didn't harm Aura. Those two chocolates weren't wasted on them!"
After all, the couple's words were all about the female corpse in the valley, and they didn't seem like good people at all!
However, upon their arrival, Cuihua gave them a coconut, which, although small, was still a precious water resource.
Chu Zhiqin couldn't quite understand the couple for the time being.
When she learned that Xi Xi had secretly sent Aura to investigate, she broke out in a cold sweat.
Belatedly glancing at the side pocket of her backpack, Chu Zhiqin thought to herself that it was fortunate that the little white duck was quiet and had fallen asleep curled up in the side pocket at that time. Otherwise, given the level of hunger for survival at that moment, even the most conscientious person would find it hard not to take advantage of the bird.
"Regardless of whether they are good people or not, they cooperated to avoid a natural disaster, and there were no obvious points of conflict. They also made them realize, intentionally or unintentionally, that we are not to be trifled with, and that's enough!" Xi Xi took her mother's hand and pulled her upwards, and Chu Zhiqin successfully reached the high point.
The two chatted idly, but their steps did not falter as they slowly moved toward the abandoned ship on the west coast.
When Xi Xi suggested leaving to loot the stranded and abandoned ship, Chu Zhiqin initially disagreed.
Both of them were already fatigued from driving and their strength was almost exhausted. It was also dark and windy at night, so no matter how you looked at it, this action was very inappropriate.
Fortunately, Xi Xi had some refreshing soda on hand. Considering that her RV was too conspicuous and it was low tide on the west coast, she decided it would be best to avoid strangers before setting off. Chu Zhiqin hesitated for a long time before finally nodding in agreement.
The night was deep and dark, the sea breeze carrying a biting chill and a wild howl, weaving through the darkness, sometimes whispering, sometimes roaring.
The tide had receded on the west coast, and a massive abandoned ship lay silently on the island's shore, its hull tilted, mast broken, and sails tattered, as if it were the final lament of a ship abandoned.
Xi Xi glanced at the light screen map hidden on the inside of her wrist from time to time, then slowly approached. On the hull, mottled rust and the marks of time were intertwined.
Xi Xi put on her light feather gloves and touched the bottom of the overturned hull. The reefs, exposed after the tide receded, were covered with barnacles that could cut your hands. She stepped onto the reefs and climbed into the sloping cargo hold entrance.
A putrid stench filled the air. The glowing light of the Radiant Lollipop cast a cold glow, boxes of ceramic shards lay scattered on the ground, and sewage mixed with seaweed rose above ankle level—this was a cargo ship.
Chu Zhiqin followed behind, carefully stepping over the piles of broken pottery jars. Adhering to the principle of going quickly, she called out to Xi Xi and headed towards the other end of the cabin.
Xi Xi nodded to her mother, but as soon as she turned around, she stepped on something hard, which twisted her ankle and made her grit her teeth in pain.
She cursed inwardly, then bent down to look, and saw that the culprit was a rusty Libra...

Damn, I thought it was just a regular reconciliation tool, but it turns out it's actually a cultural relic!
However, the fact that this legendary object was so casually piled up among a bunch of ceramic fragments surprised Xi Xi greatly.
She wanted to shout a warning to her mother to watch her step, but after glancing at the pixel map on the inside of her wrist, she turned her eyes away and swallowed her words.
The ship tilted, and Xi Xi surveyed the surrounding terrain, a slight smile playing on her lips. She then pretended nothing was wrong and continued exploring.
The first thing she noticed was the relatively intact ceramic ware in the locker.
Although these vessels have been eroded and impacted by seawater, they still retain a certain shape and texture.
She carefully picked up a blue and white porcelain vase.
This is good; it can be used to grow flowers for my mom.
