What? I've Transmigrated, Yet I Still Have to Work?

Family, let me tell you something: I transmigrated, but it feels like I didn't fully! Except for this 21st-century brain, I brought nothing else over!

Other people transmigrate and either...

Chapter 14 The Love of a Gold Coin

Tai Chi sword emphasizes using stillness to control movement, using softness to overcome hardness, and borrowing force to strike. This orc doesn't even have an axe anymore. What will he use to chop at his opponent later? Or rather, will he be forced to "commit suicide"?

Although the orc did not understand Joey's true intentions, being able to retrieve the giant axe gave him some confidence.

"@#¥%!"

The two orcs shouted again and charged at Joey. Of course, one of them was limping, having been through two knife wounds, and his thigh was severely injured.

"For the tribe?"

Joey understood what the two orcs were shouting, but he scoffed at it.

He doesn't have such lofty beliefs. He might have shouted the same thing for his parents who gave him life, or for his glorious motherland in his previous life, but in this different world, he just wants to change his slogan.

"For the gold coins!"

Joey roared and charged forward with his sword.

With upward thrusts and downward pressures, Joey skillfully maneuvered the two heavy orc axes, turning them into mere playthings under his sword. One moment Joey would deflect the force of the axes, and the next he would use them as his other weapons, completely outmaneuvering the two orcs in front of him.

"%#*……(#¥#%!"

One of the orcs muttered something under his breath, and the other immediately circled around behind Joey, intending to attack from both sides.

"That's exactly what we've been waiting for. Don't hold back when you strike!"

Joey spoke the first half of his sentence in the human language, and the second half in the orc language.

Upon hearing this, the orc took it as a further provocation from Joey, bared his teeth, and lunged forward, bringing his giant axe down heavily from above.

Joey adjusted his stance, watching the orc on his left approach while keeping an eye on the lame orc on his right.

Just as the orc's giant axe came crashing down, he suddenly crouched down and rolled toward the lame orc, his steel sword plunging deep into the orc's foot.

"ah--"

The orc had lost count of how many times he had cried out.

Because his other leg was already injured, Joey's sneak attack caused him to lose his balance, his upper body fell forward, and his face slammed hard into the ground.

The orc opposite him was completely unprepared for this unexpected turn of events. His giant axe didn't even have time to stop before it smashed down on the head of the orc who had fallen first.

puff--

The sound of a watermelon being cut open.

What flowed out of the orc's head wasn't watermelon juice, but brain matter. However, the blood that flowed out was the same color as the watermelon juice, a bright red, and it did look fresh.

But the battle was not over yet. Just as the orc on the left was about to turn his grief into strength, Joey had already taken the lead, quickly drew his steel sword, and delivered a powerful strike.

The steel sword pierced directly into the orc's mouth and emerged from the back of his head.

"Applause is in order!"

Joey held the killing pose, waiting for the praise from the three spectators.

No, it should be two spectators. The bearded man was probably busy digging a hole and didn't see this masterpiece.

To his disappointment, neither of the two audience members said a word of praise to him, which made him feel a little disappointed.

"Joey, can you come and help? I can't hold on much longer!"

Instead of receiving praise, he heard Will's cries for help.

Joey looked in the direction of the sound and saw that Will looked truly disheveled.

Will was covered in dirt and grime, as if he had rolled on the ground countless times. His clothes were covered in numerous wounds, some of which had dried, while others looked quite fresh and continued to stain his clothes.

"They're here! They're here!"

Joey drew the sword and was about to shake off the bloodstains when he realized that this fine sword was truly blood-resistant, feeling even better than a non-stick pan.

He rushed behind the two remaining orcs, raised his sword, and pierced one of them through the heart with remarkable skill.

"It's such a shame I didn't become an assassin!"

Seeing that no one appreciated his impressive performance, Joey could only indulge in a little self-admiration. However, he also felt that his swordsmanship was indeed quite good and he was getting better and better at it.

With Joey's arrival, the tide of battle immediately turned, and the other orc became somewhat hesitant. Will took care of him without much effort.

"Alright, that's a wrap. You go check on Big Beard, I'm going to check on my beautiful lady!"

After Joey finished speaking, he walked straight toward Catherine without waiting for Will's reply.

"call out!"

An arrow suddenly flew out of the woods and landed directly at Joey's feet.

Joey shuddered, feeling that if things had been just a hair's breadth off, he would have lost his younger brother.

"What are you doing? Can't you have any manners?"

Joey angrily yelled towards the woods.

However, instead of an apology, he was met with a fully armed group of men, number 32, rushing out of the woods.

"Um... well... what I mean is... I have to be polite to everyone, I can't be unruly!"

Joey looked embarrassed, and her anger vanished in an instant.

He recognized the heavily armored warriors leading the group as the same people from Tiger Stone Mountain who had come to collect protection money last month.

After their last visit, Joey had already found out that the people on Tiger Rock Mountain were all elite soldiers. Although there were only about two hundred of them, they were famous and even the officials of the city hall did not want to provoke them. Why should he provoke these plague gods?

Puff stepped out of the crowd and slowly walked towards Joey, his plate armor making a dull clanging sound, stained with a lot of orc blood.
