Other people transmigrate and either...

Chapter 32 Goblin Bank

After spending two days wandering around Gold Rush Town, Joey and Beard truly experienced the joys of being rich.

They bought two outfits from the most fashionable clothing store in town, ate several big meals at the best restaurants, and even stayed at the most luxurious hotel in town. However, since Big Beard wasn't very interested in the "gentle haven" (a place for women to enjoy themselves), Joey didn't go there to patronize it.

They didn't encounter Catherine and Daines in town for the past two days, and Joey assumed they had already left for Baron City.

"Alright, bearded man, after we exchange the silver coins for gold coins, we need to rediscover our original intentions and stop being so extravagant!"

It's been quite inconvenient having the bearded man carry the silver coins they earned from selling alcohol these past few days.

There are 9,600 in total, which is too many. They are not only heavy but also extremely cumbersome.

Joey has found out the details in the past two days. Since gold has been discovered in Gold Rush Town, there is no shortage of places to smelt gold coins. The banks here also offer gold coin exchange services, but only a small handling fee is required, which is quite convenient.

Although the bearded man was still a little reluctant to leave the soft bed he was on, he didn't hesitate at all after Joey said so. He got up from the bed, picked up a large bag of silver coins, and followed Joey out of the inn.

Because their hotel was in a prime location, it wasn't far from the bank; they arrived in less than ten minutes.

"Goblin Bank, at your service!"

As soon as the two arrived at the bank entrance, a male goblin came up to them, and he spoke not in goblin language, but in human language.

He was short, somewhat resembling a dwarf, but dressed very elegantly, like the head butler of a wealthy family in a TV drama from my previous life. He glanced at the bundle on the bearded man's shoulder and smiled brightly.

The goblin race does not belong to the Alliance, nor have they joined the Horde; they are a neutral race.

They are skilled in business and finance, and have an extremely passionate love for money. This also determines that they are unwilling to join either side; they hope to do business with both sides.

Of course, because of their strong economic power, the Alliance and the Horde tacitly accepted their neutrality, as they sometimes needed to borrow money from these goblins to fight wars.

"We need to exchange for some gold coins!"

Joey stated his purpose directly, explaining that this was his first time dealing with goblins and he didn't know much about them.

"Oh, my dear friend, the goblin bank has the gold coins you need, please follow me!"

After the male goblin finished speaking, he led the way.

"My name is Phil, and it's a pleasure to serve you!"

"Our Goblin Bank not only offers gold coin exchange services, but also storage services. You two might also like to learn more!"

The goblin named Phil led the way, still making sure to introduce Joey and the others to the bank's other services.

Joey was already very familiar with these things; they were the same functions and services as banks in her previous life. However, she had to be very careful with bank wealth management products, as it was extremely easy to fall into a trap.

"We don't have much money. We just want to exchange it for some gold coins so we can carry them around easily. If we ever get rich, we'll definitely deposit the money in your bank!"

Joey was a very shrewd person. She was just there to exchange some gold coins and wanted to get on good terms with this goblin. After all, saying nice things to him wouldn't cost her any money.

"My dear friend, you will surely make a fortune! The doors of the Goblin Bank are always open for you!"

Phil led Joey to a large hall and spoke a few words to another goblin inside. The goblin looked up at the large bag on the bearded man's shoulder and nodded slightly to Phil.

After receiving permission, Phil excitedly led Joey and the bearded man down a corridor in the hall.

It seems they'll be taken to the VIP room. In this gold rush town, Joey and the bearded man are carrying a considerable amount of silver coins, so being treated as wealthy people is understandable.

"Dear friend, please have a seat!"

Phil pointed to the leather sofa in the room and gestured for Joey and the bearded man to sit down. He then went around to the back of a long table and sat down.

"Knock knock knock—"

The group had just sat down when there was a knock on the door.

"Enter!"

Phil didn't even look up, continuing to write the materials in his hands.

A goblin walked in carrying two cups of coffee with a rich aroma. He placed the coffee in front of Joey and the bearded man, then left.

Joey hadn't tasted coffee in decades, and upon smelling the aroma, he couldn't resist picking up his coffee, adding a sugar cube, and gently stirring with his spoon.

This series of movements was so fluid and graceful that Phil caught a glimpse of it out of the corner of his eye, which also confirmed that Joey's identity was extraordinary.

You probably won't find anyone else in the entire Gold Rush town with this coffee-drinking habit and mannerisms.

Seeing Joey pick up his coffee, the bearded man followed suit, picking up his own cup and adding a sugar cube. However, he stirred the coffee a bit too vigorously, causing quite a bit to spill.

Seeing the coffee overflowing, the bearded man felt it was a waste and poured the entire cup of coffee into his mouth in one gulp.

"vomit--"

A burnt, bitter taste immediately assaulted the bearded man's taste buds, causing his stomach to churn and making him want to vomit.

But then he felt that the place he was in was too high-end, so he swallowed back the food that was already in his mouth.

After finishing, he didn't forget to grab a dozen or so sugar cubes and throw them into his mouth.
