There are two more common theories about the origin of the Emperor.

The first theory states that during Earth's ancient tribal era, various natural and man-made disasters led people to believe that demons were wreaking havoc on the world. To ward off these demons, the tribe's shamans performed a sacrificial ritual. A baby boy emerged from the altar. This baby boy was the Emperor! Born with immense psychic powers, he emerged as a chosen one, becoming the most powerful psychic among humans! Furthermore, he was immortal!

The second theory is that the emperor was born around 8,000 BC near the Sakya River in Anatolia (in present-day Turkey), most likely near Göbekli Tepe.

After witnessing his uncle murdering his father, the first murder in human history, he began to awaken his psychic powers.

The young Emperor used his psychic powers to cause his uncle to die of a myocardial infarction. However, this incident also made the young Emperor realize that humanity needs order, and good order needs to be created by a good leader (that is, himself).

So, the young emperor changed his name to Gilgamesh and set off for Chaldea in Sumer, the earliest human city, and began to lead human civilization.

From then on, the Emperor embarked on a path of self-righteousness and conquest, a journey that would last for 38,000 years. Furthermore, the imperial symbol, the double-headed eagle, also originated from the stone carvings of the Hittite civilization on the Anatolian Peninsula.

Chang Wei learned all about the Emperor's identity and origins from the game's official sources. Even so, his knowledge was very limited. He only knew that he had served as Augustus of the Roman Empire more than once, as well as other conqueror roles like Alexander.

At other times, he was a renowned politician, scientist, or national leader, quietly promoting the advancement of human civilization. Following the end of the Dark Age of Technology, the Emperor launched the Unification Wars on Earth, where his transhuman warriors made their debut. After unifying Earth, the Emperor launched the Great Crusade, establishing the Empire of Man.

To this day, the Emperor remains the leader of the largest political entity in the galaxy! It can be said that it was he who led humanity out of darkness and into glory, creating countless unparalleled great achievements!

Chang Wei felt heavy-hearted. He kept recalling the background of the Emperor's story in Warhammer 40K, while following the footsteps of the Grand Marshal of the Imperial Guards towards the Golden Throne.

Honestly, Chang Wei was a little nervous about meeting the Emperor. Not only was he about to face a powerful being with boundless knowledge, power, and undying ambition, but he also remembered one of the greatest controversies surrounding the Emperor!

The question was, did the Emperor possess humanity? This question would determine his future interactions and cooperation with the Emperor. If the Emperor lacked humanity, a mere pseudo-emperor who viewed humans as mere tools, then Chang Wei might not simply have to "cleanse the court and rectify the government," but rather "the Blue Heaven is dead, the Yellow Heaven must ascend!"

Many believe that the Emperor lacks humanity, or even possesses a limited degree of it. He loves not any individual, but all of humanity. This belief may stem from the Emperor's indifference and callousness towards the Primarchs. For example, in "Masters of Mankind," the Emperor addresses the Primarchs privately with the Custodians, referring to them by their code names, with Horus being number 16.

But if the Emperor was truly inhumane, why did he leave twenty exclusive rooms for the Primarchs in the Imperial Palace?

Moreover, during the Horus Heresy, the Emperor gave the rebellious Primarchs a chance, but Horus was the only one who had no other choice but to endure until the very end before killing him.

So, what's the truth? We'll find out soon! This is a historic moment!

With a creaking sound, the massive underground palace gate slowly opened. The Grand Marshal of the Imperial Guards knelt on one knee, not moving forward. "The Great Emperor sits upon the Golden Throne. I can only escort you here. Remember, you must always be respectful and listen to His Grace!"

Chang Wei nodded at him, then strode in.

With his arrival, a chilling wind began to blow through the entire underground palace. Accompanied by a strange atmosphere, the underground palace's gate slowly closed again.

Bang! There was a loud noise.

Chang Wei looked back and saw that there was no way back.

Continuing forward, he soon arrived at a magnificent hall. At the end of the hall stood a massive instrument, or rather a golden throne, made up of countless pipes connected in series.

And on the golden throne sat the remains of a human being with a decayed body, about 2.4 meters tall.

Although Chang Wei was mentally prepared, he was still shocked when he saw such a horrifying scene.

According to Chang Wei, the Golden Throne is a psychic amplification device that requires vast amounts of psychic energy to maintain, and its origins are unknown. The Emperor sat on the Golden Throne to suppress the breach in the Webway opened by Magnus, as if breached, Terra could become a second Eye of Terror. Furthermore, from the Golden Throne, the Emperor could observe the world from a higher dimension, allowing him to keep an eye on his people.

But as time passed, problems began to arise with the Golden Throne. The psykers needed to fuel it increased in number, and the oilmen, despite extensive research, were helpless. Add to that the unknown side effects, and the faith of billions of humans who had worshipped it for ten thousand years. Who could guarantee that the Emperor would still sit on the throne today?

Chang Wei cautiously approached, speaking forcefully to the Emperor's decaying corpse: "I am Admiral Chang Wei, Supreme Commander of the Light Chaser Fleet! We have answered your call and come before you, specifically to fulfill the promise the System made with you back then! Can you hear me?"
