Chapter 241 The Traveler

Yo yo, check it out, give me a set of pancakes. I asked for eggs and you asked for them.

Are you hallucinating? Are snacks from the 3K era still around in the Warhammer 40K era?

Chang Wei looked surprised, his throat rolling as he smelled the fragrance, and then he moved over with everyone else.

When we arrived at the Jianbing Guozi stall, we saw a long line forming, clearly showing that business was booming. The person making the Jianbing Guozi was a plain-looking young man, seemingly unremarkable.

Chang Wei didn't understand what was going on. Looking at the group of people who bought the pancakes and ate them with such happiness, Chang Wei felt that it was a bit magical. He always felt that something was not right!

"Toshi, go find out what's going on with that pancake vendor? Does that thing exist in the world of Warhammer 40K?"

Tosh said nothing and took the next step out of his invisible state.

Not long after, Toxu, a top ghost, gathered the information and returned.

"How is it?" Chang Wei asked curiously.

Tosh opened his white eyes and smiled playfully.

"The man who made Jianbing Guozi was named Howard. He was said to be from a planet called Cybertron, an ordinary citizen of the Empire who had fled there. His family had a secret recipe for making Jianbing Guozi, passed down from generation to generation. Later, their planet was destroyed by a civil war, and the once noble people became refugees. Howard's father was a local leader. When he went to regroup his troops, he sent Howard aboard a spaceship. After many twists and turns, they finally arrived on Terra and settled there."

When Chang Wei heard this, he was stunned.

"Is his father's name Artanis? Even Cybertron appears? The Empire has a planet called Cybertron?"

Tosh shook his head and replied, "Cybertron isn't listed among the planets in the Empire's registry. However, humanity's territory is vast, and wars are raging constantly, so the true situation is impossible to verify. But according to what he said, it's likely that this is the name their homeworld uses for the local planet, not the official one."

Chang Wei exclaimed, "Wow! Looks like we've caught another time traveler!"

However, Chang Wei did not catch him. Instead, he ordered someone to buy a pancake, ready to try the cooking skills of this fellow from Earth.

Soon, a freshly baked, fragrant, steaming pancake arrived in Chang Wei's hands. This familiar hometown snack felt familiar to Chang Wei, and his appetite instantly increased. Just as he was about to take a bite, he suddenly thought of something and stopped.

Chang Wei handed the pancake to Rui Ge and said to him, "Rui Ge, you have a pre-set stomach. Take a bite and see if there is any problem."

It's no wonder Chang Wei was being so cautious. It was mainly because his life was now too valuable! It no longer belonged to just him; he was responsible for the entire Light Chaser fleet. Furthermore, this world wasn't just about materialism; it also had idealism. If he ate anything he thought was wrong and contracted some magical plague or psychic virus, the golden giant would probably be rushing over to help him urinate and detoxify.

Rui Ge didn't hesitate at all and took a bite, biting off most of it.

Baji, baji, baji, mmm, delicious!

Just when I was about to take another bite, I missed it.

"Is there a problem?" Chang Wei retracted his hand.

Rui Ge savored the information carefully and found no problems in the feedback from his body. He was sure that the other party had used the most common ingredients.

Chang Wei turned his head and looked at Palpatine and Tosh again.

Palpatine stated that the Force did not sense any danger.

Tosh added, "This guy named Howard seems to possess some special powers. The pancakes he makes are incredibly delicious, a bit like food items in RPGs, with specific properties. According to the Inquisition, he once used pancakes to cure Nurgle's virus and heal the wounds of some dying people. He was later captured by the Inquisition and brought to Terra, but was released for some reason. While his abilities are bizarre, they're generally harmless."

Chang Wei nodded, then picked up the pancake and carefully took a bite. "Smack, smack, smack, this tastes...it's too good, isn't it?"

After a few more bites, the remaining half of the pancake was immediately finished.

Chang Wei licked his lips, looked at Howard's pancake stall, and couldn't help laughing inwardly.

He was certain that this universe wasn't the original Warhammer universe, but rather a parallel universe, like the one in "The Southern Gate Project." Perhaps this Howard was the protagonist of this world?

Chang Wei thought about it for a while and even decided on a name: "Travel Through Time, I'm Making Pancakes in Warhammer."

There's nothing strange in the universe. Just in the Warhammer 40,000 universe, I've already encountered two time travelers. With more and more rescue missions, I'm sure we'll encounter more of these kinds of situations in the future, right?

Thinking of this, Chang Wei couldn't help but ask the system in his heart.

"System, there shouldn't be just yours in the myriad worlds, right? Do travelers like this come from some organization like the 'Travelers' Alliance'? How many forces like yours exist in the myriad worlds?"

Chang Wei just asked casually and did not expect the system to answer him. After all, the authority was there, and some things were beyond his level of knowledge.

As expected, the system replied coldly and mechanically, "Regarding the power structure of the myriad worlds, the host lacks sufficient authority to know. However, I can remind you that some of the conclusions are incorrect! There is no so-called 'Traveler Alliance' in the myriad worlds. The emergence of travelers is primarily due to two reasons: human interference and the influence of abnormal characteristics."
