Chapter 91 The truth of the world?

Kevin Erha, as the "alpha wolf" of this expedition team, is leading everyone on their arduous journey through the ice and snow.

When passing by each human-shaped ice sculpture, the young man who had just joined was obviously stunned and stared at the human-shaped ice sculptures for a long time.

Kevin came to his side and reminded him in a low voice.

"Stop looking and keep moving forward."

The young man couldn't help but ask, "Why don't you bury them? Instead of just leaving them here?"

Kevin looked at him as if he were a fool and replied casually, "First, we are in the outside world now. We must always maintain our physical strength and avoid unnecessary consumption. Otherwise, when the crisis comes, you may not have the strength to escape, or you may not have the physical strength to survive the cold wave!"

"Secondly, it serves as a warning to every passing expedition team, reminding us to be in awe of the frozen outside world."

As he spoke, Kevin continued to glance at the young man, and his tone softened.

"Kid, let me give you a piece of advice. In the outside world, fighting and showing off won't work. Only through unity and cooperation can we overcome difficulties and return the collected supplies to the town. The outside world is still very unfamiliar to you, and you still have a lot to learn."

"Watch more, talk less, just follow and obey orders. Everyone will teach you little by little how to survive in the outside world! And various survival techniques!"

The young man's eyes flashed, and finally he nodded heavily, then continued to move forward with the team.

They crossed the endless snowfield and came to a city that had long been buried in ice. In the city, they kept searching for all usable supplies and placed and fixed them on the sleds they brought.

Kevin, the "alpha wolf," stood on a high vantage point, observing and keeping watch for those carrying and scouting supplies. In this brutal snow apocalypse, the horrors weren't just hunger, disease, and cold; they were also plagued by a group of "plunderers" who had lost all sense of morality. They were known as the "snow bandits."

The "Snow Bandits" were, to put it bluntly, a group of improvised bandits. They maintained their own makeshift strongholds and would ambush and attack any expeditionary forces they encountered, robbing them of their supplies. Furthermore, they would skin the expedition members and make warm clothing out of them. Their flesh and blood would not be wasted, being roasted and stored as jerky.

Once caught by the "snow bandits," they might not kill you right away. However, that would lead to a more brutal and terrifying end, as they would treat you like fresh food and eat you bit by bit.

Today they'll cut off your tail and ears and roast them, tomorrow they'll chop off your arms or thighs and gnaw them, and the day after tomorrow they'll dig a piece of flesh out of your body and eat it raw, soaked in blood. And if you're determined and have a strong desire to survive, and don't faint from the pain, you might even get to watch as your "parts" are eaten away, one bite at a time.

There's a joke that's been circulating among the expedition team: you wake up drowsily beside a warm campfire and see the "snow bandits" sitting around it, chewing their food and smiling at you.

"There's good news and bad news. The bad news is: we caught you. The good news is: you taste pretty good."

After hearing this, you realized you were tied to the ground, missing limbs, and instantly howled in terror. Meanwhile, the "snow bandits" were eating their delicious food and bursting into laughter. Just thinking about that scene was enough to make you despair!

Therefore, Kevin, as the "alpha wolf", would never allow such a thing to happen.

Just as he was concentrating, alert to his surroundings, his ears suddenly twitched, and he keenly heard a sound approaching from afar. Immediately, he gestured from his perch, commanding the team members below to take cover.

Everyone instantly put down what they were doing and quickly hid in the shadows, fearing to make any noise.

Kevin, who was on a higher ground, also looked in the direction of the sound and found that the sound coming from far away and approaching was very strange, something he had never heard before.

Boom boom boom boom!

Kevin lowered himself to the ground, his eyes narrowed to slits. He saw a long steel structure hurtling down a gridded road. Its mighty form tore through the cold wind, shattered the glaciers, and crushed the snowfields like a peerless beast.

"What...what is that?" Kevin had never seen a train before. Although he had seen those grid-like roads before, he hadn't paid much attention to them and didn't know their specific purpose. He just thought that the grid-like road was like a frozen street lamp or fire hydrant, long since lost its original function.

Now, he actually saw a steel creature he had never seen before, galloping across the snowfield?

How is this possible? How does it run? Is there a "dog" living inside?

With this curiosity, Kevin couldn't help but stand up, wanting to see the speeding steel figure more clearly, as if the truth of the world was right in front of him.

Oh no! It's moving away! Getting further and further away!

Kevin had a feeling that if he missed this opportunity, he might never find the answer in his lifetime.

The next second, Kevin blew the whistle and called the players out from the darkness.

"I found a formidable creature! I must chase it. Jack! You will lead the expedition now. If I'm not back within three days, you won't have to wait for me. You know all the steps! On your way back, remember to cover our tracks and don't let the 'Snow Bandits' find our home."
