In a post-apocalyptic world rife with biochemical crises, the vast sky is shrouded in rolling black clouds, and the earth is filled with a thick aura of death. The vast survivor base, like an impenetrable fortress, stands tall in the apocalyptic wasteland.
These large survivor bases were jointly built by wealthy people and the armies of major military regions when the disaster struck 42 years ago.
By that time, governments had long since collapsed, the relay satellites overhead had long since vanished, and the world had lost contact with each other, left to fend for itself.
Large survivor bases were thus born, and they became the last bastion for the survival of the cats in the apocalypse!
The outermost perimeter of the large survivor base is composed of a tall and solid steel wall, which is like a towering barrier, as if blocking the boundary between life and death.
At this moment, on the city walls, thousands of brave cat people, armed with guns, machetes, and various simple homemade weapons, looked at the distant horizon, ready for battle.
The air seemed to be frozen, not a single sound could be heard, and the scene was terribly depressing!
Soon, a black torrent appeared on the horizon, stretching as far as the eye could see.
There were countless zombies and mutated monsters rushing towards them like a tide.
The zombies roared and howled, twisting their bodies as they ran and moved, their rotting flesh emitting a sickening stench. The mutated monsters possessed sharp claws and fangs, and their bodies were surprisingly huge.
The largest mutant monster was a nameless, soft-bodied marine creature, towering into the sky like a skyscraper. The medium-sized mutant monster was the size of a seven-story house. The smaller mutant monster was the size of a tank.
Seeing so many zombies and mutant monsters rushing towards the city wall like violent beasts, all the cat people were so scared that their eyes widened and their teeth chattered.
Especially when they saw the towering mutant monster, they all cried out in despair: "How can we possibly win with just guns and knives?"
Many cats can already imagine the tragic battle scene that is about to happen.
"We...are all going to die soon, right?"
A young warrior looked at all this with blank eyes, and when he murmured, he instantly resonated with countless cats.
Yes, if it were just zombies, they might still be able to fight. But these mutant monsters, who usually like to be alone and have a sense of territory, are now gathering together in an uncharacteristic way.
Just the sight of that enormous body, the mountain-like muscles, and the cruel and ferocious scarlet eyes filled almost all the cats present with fear.
However, no matter what, they couldn't retreat. Because they had nowhere to retreat! This was their last stronghold! It was also their burial place!
An elderly man, leading the group, glanced at everyone, then puffed out his chest, picked up a worn machete, and stood on the top of the city wall, shouting, "My compatriots! Please listen to me! The zombies and mutant monsters will not show mercy to us just because we are afraid or weak, nor will they have any compassion for us! Remember, do not be consumed by fear! We must fight for the last bit of dignity of the Meow Star people! Fight for survival!"
"Meow!!!"
As if infected by the words, all the warriors responded in unison. They quickly gathered together, forming a burning wall of flesh and blood, ready to meet the impact of the tide of zombies.
Although they knew that the chances of victory were slim, their courage and determination inspired endless strength.
In this apocalyptic ruin, they have nothing left to lose. Whether facing the rampage of the zombies or the terror of the mutated monsters, the Meow Star people will ultimately guard the last glimmer of hope for their civilization with their unyielding will, until the dawn breaks and the light of dawn once again illuminates the earth.
Perhaps even the heavens were moved by their resolve? Just as they were raging, preparing to die, an invisible ghost, already standing on the edge of the city wall, had just finished reviewing tactical guidance for the distant, skyscraper-like, towering marine mollusk that resembled Patrick Star.
A quick warning came from his helmet, and the ghost turned his back. Because a real man never looks at explosions!
"Warning! Fusion strike detected en route!"
A fusion nuclear warhead, accompanied by a tail flame, pierced through the clouds. Before the zombie tide could get close, it plunged headfirst into the forehead of "Patrick Star" dozens of kilometers away.
There was a loud bang!
Accompanied by intense light and heat, a brilliant mushroom cloud slowly rose. It instantly vaporized everything within the core area, then the intense heat scorched all targets within the central radiation zone. Finally, a powerful shockwave tore through countless flesh. Even the countless zombies at the outermost perimeter had their rotting flesh blown away, leaving them reduced to mere skeletons.
Even though they were dozens of kilometers apart, the cats on the city wall were still blown to pieces by the sudden shock wave, and they fell down in an instant, making the scene even more miserable.
They climbed up carefully and tremblingly, and when they looked in the direction of the tide of corpses again, they were so shocked by the world-destroying power that they were speechless.
Aside from the very elderly survivors, no one at the scene had any idea what the mushroom cloud represented. It was their civilization's most powerful weapon...in the past!
