Who Made You Cultivate Seriously?

The lamp also liked her.

"That's amazing!"

"It's impossible to go down, it's simply impossible to go down."

The onlookers shook their heads. Both Qin Luo and Chu Peiran had won, but Qin Luo won by more margins.

Qin Luo stood up, offering his seat and smiling, "You two can spar."

Having witnessed Qin Luo's prowess, the surrounding customers did not want to humiliate themselves. The old man in brocade sat in his seat and played chess with the middle-aged man holding a paper fan.

Guichen was still copying scriptures.

People gathered around him, not so much to see the scriptures, but out of curiosity that he could write them even with his eyes covered.

Chu Peiran stood up and left the bustling chess table. A customer took his place. "Brother Qin, let's play a game sometime."

"sure!"

Qin Luo nodded with a smile.

The night in Jiangling City is the liveliest time, with the streets brightly lit. Qin Luo looked at Chu Peiran and suggested with a smile, "Brother Chu, let's take a stroll in the streets."

"OK."

Chu Peiran looked at Guichen, who was copying scriptures by the lamp, and asked, "Master Guichen, how about we go shopping?"

"This humble monk wishes to copy scriptures."

There are still many scriptures to copy after returning to the dust.

Chu Peiran was somewhat envious and remarked, "Master Guichen has quite a lot going on in his belly."

Qin Luo nodded in agreement. He planned to look at the scriptures that Gui Chen had copied when he returned that evening.

People were coming and going on the street.

Qin Luo and Chu Peiran looked around.

A young girl in plain clothes walked over carrying a basket and said with a sweet smile, "Master Dao, would you like to buy some purses? These were all made by my grandmother, and they're very cheap."

Qin Luo looked at the purse in the basket, smiled slightly, and said softly, "How much is this purse?"

Five coins.

The girl in plain clothes picked up a basket and let Qin Luo choose.

Qin Luo didn't want the purse, but seeing that she hadn't made a sale after shouting for a long time, he wanted to help her. He picked up the red purse, which was embroidered with the character "福" (fortune), and said, "This is five coins."

"Thank you, Master Dao."

The girl in plain clothes happily put away the coins.

Qin Luo hadn't gone far when the little dumpling in his pocket, drawn by the aroma, crawled out and exclaimed, "It smells so good!"

The little dumpling sat on Qin Luo's shoulder, swallowing hard, "Big brother, I want to eat meatballs."

There were charcoal barbecue stalls on the street. Qin Luo walked up to one and asked with a light laugh, "Boss, how much are the lamb skewers?"

"Four coins for a skewer, ten coins for three skewers, all fresh goat meat. How about a few skewers, sir?" The middle-aged stall owner wiped the sweat from his face with a white cloth.

Qin Luo said softly, "Three skewers, please."

Alright!

The middle-aged stall owner immediately started grilling.

Qin Luo took out ten copper coins and gave them to the old woman who was helping out; she was the elderly mother of the middle-aged vendor.

The little dumpling sat on Qin Luo's shoulder, shaking its head and sighing, "It's so slow, I'd rather do it myself."

The old woman said warmly, "Sir, please sit here for a while. The lamb skewers will be ready soon."

Qin Luo and his group sat on the side of the street, where two tables of people were eating grilled fish. The fish looked delicious and smelled wonderful. Little Tuanzi looked at the grilled fish and swallowed hard. "Boss, I want to eat more grilled fish."

"I have no money."

Qin Luo gently shook his head.

He didn't want to spoil the little dumpling.

Chu Peiran looked at the little dumpling and joked with a smile, "If you call me Brother Chu, I'll treat you to grilled fish."

"Brother Pig!"

The little dumpling blinked innocently.

"It's Brother Chu."

"Brother Pig".

The little dumpling tilted its head.

Chu Peiran shook his head helplessly, knowing that the little dumpling was doing it on purpose, but he wasn't angry. He still shouted loudly, "Boss, give me a big grilled fish, and I'll pay after I finish eating."

Okay.

The middle-aged vendor nodded with a smile.

"hey-hey."

The little dumpling proudly picked at its toes.

Before long, the old woman placed the grilled mutton skewers on the table. "Please enjoy, sir."

Seeing this, the little dumpling jumped off Qin Luo's shoulder onto the table, saying, "Boss, this is yours."

Qin Luo took the lamb skewers, and then the little dumpling handed one to Chu Peiran, saying, "Brother Pig, this is for you."

"Thank you so much."

You're welcome.

The little girl picked up a lamb skewer, ate the meat with gusto, and her tuft of hair on her head swayed as she did so.

Qin Luo took a bite of the roasted mutton, which tasted better than the mutton in the soup. When the little girl finished her mutton skewer, Qin Luo handed her the skewer he had only taken one bite of.

"Boss, don't you like it?"

"I like it, but I should eat less of it."

The little girl took the lamb skewers, swallowing hard, "These are for Caixia to take back."

Chu Peiran said with a smile, "You just eat, I'll buy them food later."

The little dumpling's eyes lit up. She chewed on some roasted mutton and said, "Brother Pig, I didn't realize you had money!"

Chu Peiran raised an eyebrow and smiled, "Back in the day, I was a rich guy. I've eaten all sorts of delicacies. You've obviously never seen the world."

The little dumpling stuck up its tuft of hair and actually mocked me for being unsophisticated, but considering that I still had to eat the grilled fish that Chu Peiran had ordered, I could only hold onto this grudge for now.

While waiting for the grilled fish, Qin Luo asked curiously, "Brother Chu, why did you decide to travel on a budget?"

Chu Peiran shook his head and sighed softly, "It's not that I want to travel on a shoestring budget, it's that the academy teacher made me travel on a shoestring budget, to make me down-to-earth, to take one step at a time, to read ten thousand books and travel ten thousand miles, to broaden my horizons, to cultivate my character, and to temper my mind. It's a test for me."

Qin Luo nodded, "My master also told me that only by being down-to-earth can one go further."

Chu Peiran said with a smile, "I have indeed gained a lot along the way. I have seen spirits and monsters that cannot be found in books, I have seen stories that are not in books, I have realized many principles that are not in books, and I have made amazing friends like Brother Dao and Master Guichen."
