Who Made You Cultivate Seriously?

Qin Luo traveled to a world of cultivation where demons ran rampant. To protect himself, he came to the Dragon and Tiger Monastery to learn from a master, only to find out that his master was a swi...

Chapter 13 The Demon King of the Mountains

The white bones in the mountains were as clear as jade and could remain uncorrupted for many years, clearly belonging to cultivators, and at a high level. Qin Luo became more vigilant and continued forward, intending to explore the valley.

The path leading to the valley was littered with bones, including not only the remains of cultivators but also massive animal bones, with sword marks clearly visible on them.

Qin Luo suddenly stopped. He saw a skeleton half buried in the soil, and a light gray cloth bag nearby. "The body is decaying, but this bag is still intact. It must be something special."

He picked up the cloth bag from the ground.

Qin Luo used his divine sense to examine the cloth bag and found that it had a large space inside, about the size of his room, and was filled with many yellow stones.

"This should be a spirit stone."

Stones contain a large amount of spiritual substances.

The bag also contained many gorgeous dresses, as well as several books. After Qin Luo looked through them, he found that two of them were cultivation methods, and the other was a cultivation experience manual.

"Wind and Thunder Sword Sect, Chen Jingqiu."

According to Shen Jingqiu's cultivation notes, Qin Luo learned that she was a late-stage Foundation Establishment cultivator who wanted to break through to the Foundation Establishment stage, so she came to the Purple Cloud Mountains to seek good fortune.

"Thank you for your kind gift, senior."

Qin Luo put away his Qiankun bag. Not far away, he saw a broken sword with the insignia of the Wind and Thunder Sword Sect on it. It was obvious that Shen Jingqiu had encountered a powerful enemy and died here.

"Although I can't help you avenge yourself, I can help you find a propitious burial site." Qin Luo buried Shen Jingqiu's remains on a sunny hillside where there was a beautiful view.

...

There is a clear stream outside the valley.

The stream was crystal clear, and you could see the fish and shrimp in it. The water shimmered. When Qin Luo came to the vicinity of the stream, he saw scattered pieces of gold and jade at the bottom of the water.

Qin Luo squatted down and fished out a piece of silvery-white jade from the water. He examined it closely and found that the gold fragments and jade had patterns on them and were indestructible.

The broken gold pieces resemble fragments of armor, and the jade pieces resemble fragments of some kind of magical artifact. Many fragments are scattered in this stream, indicating that a fierce battle may have taken place nearby.

Splash!

A dark figure swam closer.

Qin Luo noticed the little creature in the water.

A small otter swam near Qin Luo, its fur glossy black, and it shook its head.

The little otter was adorable. Qin Luo smiled and waved for it to come over.

"Waaaaah..."

The little otter's call sounds like a child's laughter.

Qin Luo could understand the little otter's language. It had many of these stones and wanted to trade them for food.

What would you like to eat?

Qin Luo's voice was soft, yet it resonated like a great bell in the little otter's mind.

The little otter stood up, pointed its tiny finger at the peach grove not far away, and whimpered.

It wants to eat the peaches on the mountain.

Qin Luo smiled and nodded. He didn't care for jade, but seeing how cute the little otter was, he returned to the peach grove and picked a few big, round, and ripe peaches.

Not long after.

Qin Luo returned with the peaches.

The little otter covered its mouth and chuckled when it saw this.

After Qin Luo put the peaches into the stream, he prepared to leave. The little otter made a soft whimpering sound. It was clutching several pieces of golden jade in its arms, and its big eyes were shining.

"Hahaha."

Qin Luo couldn't help but laugh out loud. Looking at the little otter's serious expression, he reached out and caught the jade.

The little otter turned and left with the peach in its arms. It hadn't gone far when it suddenly looked back and saw Qin Luo crossing the stream and heading towards the valley. Its pupils contracted sharply.

"Waaaaah!"

The little otter cried out loudly.

Qin Luo heard the little otter's warning that there was an old monster in the valley and that it was advising him to stay away from the valley.

"Little guy."

"Thank you for reminding me."

Qin Luo smiled gently. He was not afraid and continued walking into the valley, wanting to find out what was going on.

As you enter the valley, a rich spiritual atmosphere greets you. The valley is covered with lush green grass, but there are no tall trees.

In the middle of the valley, in a sun-drenched spot, there stands a small golden tree. It is not tall and has few branches and leaves, but it is covered with several golden fruits. The largest fruit is the size of a lychee, and the smallest fruit is only the size of a cherry.

A large black bear was lying near the small tree, snoring loudly.

Qin Luo looked at the black bear not far away. There were many hideous scars on the black bear's body. Some were claw marks from fighting with demonic beasts, and others were sword marks from fighting with cultivators.

The valley was rich in spiritual energy, and the black bear's ability to occupy it showed its strength. However, Qin Luo did not sense any threat, as the black bear's energy was far inferior to that of the dragon girl.

The small tree near the black bear was no ordinary tree. If it weren't for the black bear, Qin Luo might have picked a couple to try. But since the black bear was guarding the small tree, he had no intention of stealing its bounty.

Qin Luo noticed at the foot of the mountain deep in the valley, where there were two tall stone statues with dragon heads and human bodies, their eyes wide open in anger, like two door gods, with a magnificent stone gate between them.

The words "Zifu" are carved above the stone gate.

Qin Luo's eyes gleamed with golden light. He discovered a small world inside the Purple Mansion and murmured softly, "This should be the blessed land that Master mentioned. Interesting."

The snoring stopped abruptly.

The black bear noticed Qin Luo's arrival.

The valley became quiet. The black bear opened its eyes and saw Qin Luo not far away. Its eyes were filled with deep fear. In the past, it could detect cultivators from a distance, but the young Taoist in front of it appeared in the valley silently.

The black bear was tense all over. It was able to come to the depths of the mountains and was spotless. It must be something special.

Seeing the black bear's tense expression, Qin Luo smiled and said, "Please forgive me if I have disturbed you."

The black bear didn't sense any hostility. In the past, cultivators were full of hostility towards it and wanted to attack as soon as they met. Qin Luo had a kind smile on his face, which was completely different from other cultivators.
