Chapter 145 Sect Ceremony

Bang!

A muffled thud.

Li Heitan raised his head.

He watched as the training ground came into view.

On the training ground, a robust old man bowed to Qin Luo and asked, "Are you Daoist Qin?"

"Longhu Temple, Qin Luo."

Qin Luo nodded to the old man.

The white-haired old man was overjoyed. "Daoist Qin, I am Tang Jingyuan, a steward of the Great Xia Sword Sect."

Li Heitan was shocked; he hadn't expected that Qin Luo, who had been following him all along, was actually a big shot.

Tang Jingyuan looked at Li Heitan beside Qin Luo and chuckled, "Master Qin, do you know this child?"

"know."

Qin Luo smiled slightly.

Li Heitan mustered his courage, his eyes filled with expectation, "Senior, could you give me a chance?"

Tang Jingyuan readily nodded, "Since you know Master Qin, I'll give you another chance."

"Thank you, senior! Thank you, brother!"

Li Heitan kowtowed to Qin Luo and Tang Jingyuan.

Qin Luo squatted down and said softly, "If you fail the test, go home and study hard, okay?"

"good."

Li Heitan wiped away his tears with his sleeve. He knew that Tang Jingyuan had initially looked down on him, and it was Qin Luo's appearance that gave him the opportunity to take the test.

"Get up."

Qin Luo reached out and helped Li Heitan up.

Tang Jingyuan led them to the center of the training ground and said with a smile, "Stand in front of the white jade stele."

Li Heitan was excited, and his body trembled involuntarily as he walked toward the white jade tablet.

Tang Jingyuan infused his spiritual power into the white jade tablet, which then emitted a soft light, reflecting Li Heitan's meridians and bone structure.

Tang Jingyuan looked at the white jade tablet, his brows furrowed slightly, and he shook his head and sighed softly, "I'm sorry, you don't have spiritual roots and cannot pass the Great Xia Sword Sect's assessment."

Li Heitan looked dazed.

His dream is to become a sword immortal.

Qin Luo patted Li Heitan's shoulder lightly, "Our fate cannot be decided by this stone tablet. Things change, and where there's a will, there's a way!"

Hope rekindled in Li Heitan's eyes.

Tang Jingyuan said with a smile, "You have good physique and are very suitable for martial arts. I can write you a letter of recommendation, and you can go to the Great Xia Martial Academy to practice martial arts with the letter of recommendation."

Li Heitan said with a determined look in his eyes, "I've made up my mind. I'm going to study hard and become an official in the future."

Qin Luo chuckled and said, "I'll take you home."

"Need not!"

Li Heitan picked up his small book box again, grabbed a wooden stick, and waved goodbye to Qin Luo. "Brother, thank you. I live in Dashi Village. Come visit me next time, and I'll treat you to pig's head."

"OK."

Qin Luo nodded with a smile.

Li Heitan turned and ran into the darkness.

Qin Luo watched his retreating figure and said softly, "Qingfeng and Mingyue, please see him off."

Ripples spread across the grass, a gentle breeze rose from the ground, and then a bright moon illuminated the earth.

A gentle breeze lifted Li Heitan up, carrying him into the air. Li Heitan gripped the wooden stick in his hand tightly. He was quite frightened at first, but soon he experienced the joy of riding the wind.

Li Heitan turned around and shouted, "Brother, you're even more amazing than the old man in our village!"

Qin Luo gave him a thumbs up.

Tang Jingyuan watched from the side, his shock evident in his eyes. To be able to manipulate the clear wind and bright moon with just a few words was something even the ancestor of the Great Xia Sword Sect couldn't do.

Tang Jingyuan's face was full of smiles. "Daoist Qin, the Great Xia Sword Sect will hold its sect ceremony tomorrow. Elder Li specifically instructed me to welcome you to attend the ceremony."

"Then I'll take my leave."

Qin Luo clasped his hands in a gesture of respect.

Tang Jingyuan waved his hands repeatedly and laughed loudly, "Master Qin, it is our honor that you can come to witness the ceremony."

As they were talking.

The training ground slowly rose.

Tang Jingyuan put away the white jade tablet in the middle of the training ground. After the training ground appeared in the clouds, there were roads leading in all directions and countless pavilions and palaces in front of him.

On a floating island not far away, a group of junior disciples of the Great Xia Sword Sect were practicing a sword formation, preparing for tomorrow's sect ceremony.

"Master Qin, this way please!"

Tang Jingyuan led Qin Luo to a secluded bamboo grove courtyard. In the middle of the courtyard was a pond, in which a bright moon was reflected. Near the pond was an exquisite pavilion.

"Master Qin, please sit here for a while. I'll go and inform Elder Li!" Tang Jingyuan said with a smile.

"good."

Qin Luo nodded and chuckled.

Qin Luo sat down in the pavilion. He looked up and realized that he was closer to the starry sky. He gazed at the starry sky, and the starry sky gazed back at him. The courtyard was bathed in the bright moonlight.

Before long, Li Jianwei and the two old men arrived at the courtyard where Qin Luo was. The tall, thin old man had white hair and a youthful face, wore a white robe, and had a restrained aura, just like an ordinary old man.

The burly old man had thick eyebrows and large eyes. He wore a red robe and exuded a powerful aura, his sharp edge fully revealed.

The tall, thin old man nodded with a smile, "I am Qiu Wuji, the sect leader of the Great Xia Sword Sect."

The burly old man sized up Qin Luo, then said, "I am Duan Shifang, the Grand Elder of the Great Xia Sword Sect."

Qin Luo stood up, clasped his hands in greeting, and said, "Junior Qin Luo greets all seniors."

Qiu Wuji and his companions arrived at the pavilion.

Li Jianwei, holding a cup of tea, said warmly, "Master Qin, please have some tea."

Qin Luo took the teacup, and the rich aroma of tea filled the courtyard. He picked up the teacup and said, "Senior, please!"

Qiu Wuji picked up his teacup and took a sip. "Please!"

Qin Luo took a sip of the hot tea, the rich aroma filling his mouth and giving him a refreshing feeling. "This tea smells so good, I wonder what kind of tea it is?"
