Qin Luo traveled to a world of cultivation where demons ran rampant. To protect himself, he came to the Dragon and Tiger Monastery to learn from a master, only to find out that his master was a swi...
Sunset Peak, Dragon and Tiger Temple.
In the early morning, the mountains are shrouded in mist.
Qin Luo was cooking porridge for his junior sister in the kitchen when he heard a noise outside. In the blink of an eye, he appeared in the backyard.
A small monkey, about the same height as Ziyue, jumped into the yard. It had brownish-yellow fur and big, dark eyes. In its hands, it held a lotus leaf containing freshly picked fruit.
The little monkey was so frightened by Qin Luo that its legs trembled.
"Who sent you?"
"Master Dao, I was sent by the Bear King."
The little monkey opened its mouth and spoke human language.
"The Bear King?"
Qin Luo thought of Bear Mountain, deep in the mountains.
"Please thank him for his kindness on my behalf."
"Yes, ma'am."
The little monkey placed the lotus leaf filled with fruit on the path, leaped high, and disappeared in the blink of an eye.
"A talking monkey, that's interesting."
Qin Luo found it very interesting. After washing the fruit, he put it in a basket. There was a bunch of grapes inside, which looked like jade, crystal clear and plump. He picked one and tasted it.
"It's quite sweet."
"Boss."
"I'm here!"
The little dumpling landed on Qin Luo's shoulder.
"You're here really early."
The early bird catches the worm.
"There are no bugs here, do you want some grapes?"
"eat."
"I'm not a picky eater."
The little dumpling proudly puffed out its chest.
Qin Luo held a grape to the little dumpling's mouth. It pecked open the grape skin and sucked out the pulp.
"tasty."
"Boss, is there any more?"
The little dumpling winked at Qin Luo.
Qin Luo continued to feed the little dumpling grapes. He thought it could only eat a few grapes, but the little dumpling's stomach was like a bottomless pit, and it quickly ate half of the grapes.
Thinking that his junior sister hadn't eaten yet, Qin Luo gently rubbed the little dumpling's head with his fingers, "Are you full?"
"No."
"If you're not full, catch some bugs to eat."
"All right."
"Let's go catch some bugs."
The little dumpling flapped its wings and flew away, its snow-white feathers glowing red in the morning light.
Qin Luo took out the golden gourd he obtained in the Purple Mansion Cave Heaven, whose interior space could hold rivers.
After the golden gourd was opened, Qin Luo used his supernatural powers, and the dewdrops on the tree flew into the gourd one after another.
Glug glug.
Qin Luo drank the morning dew in large gulps.
His daily life consisted of eating the sunset and drinking the dew.
"Good morning, senior brother."
Ziyue, dressed in a loose Taoist robe, came to the backyard.
Qin Luo put away the golden gourd and pointed to the basket full of fruit on the table. "Junior Sister, there is fruit here, and there is rice porridge in the kitchen. Choose whatever you want to eat."
"Senior brother, where did these fruits come from?"
"It was brought by the monkeys in the mountains."
"Really?"
Zi Yue thought her senior brother was joking.
"Of course it's true, junior sister. Take your time eating. Come to the main hall after you're full."
"Okay, senior brother."
Ziyue didn't like porridge; she chose to eat fruit instead. There were many kinds of fruit in the basket: grapes, hawthorns, lychees, and kiwis. Ziyue ate the grapes first, then the hawthorns. "Hehe, they're sweet and sour, just like eating candied hawthorns."
Qin Luo arrived at the front yard, opened the gate of the Taoist temple, and then pasted Wu Xuantian's portrait on both sides of the gate.
A golden light fell upon the Dragon and Tiger Temple.
Wu Xuantian appeared in front of Qin Luo.
"Master Qin."
Wu Xuantian clasped his hands in a salute.
Qin Luo patted him on the shoulder, "Old Wu, you've been wandering around the Purple Cloud Mountains for so long, what have you found?"
"According to my investigation, most of the people in the Ziyun Mountains live on the outskirts of the mountains. There are 935 households, of which more than 500 are in relatively difficult circumstances, with elderly, weak, sick and disabled members in their families."
"Life is tough for the people living in the mountains."
"The gates of the underworld have just closed, and many evil spirits are lingering in the mountains. Misfortune is likely to occur soon."
Do you have a solution?
"Master Qin, evil spirits are scattered in various places. My abilities are limited, and I can only protect the people who put up door gods."
Qin Luo understood his predicament. "Old Wu, I will help you spread the word. I'll need your help to protect thousands of households in the future."
"That would be my honor!"
Wu Xuantian's eyes burned with fervor.
Protecting someone has a special meaning for him.
Qin Luo returned to the main hall.
Wu Xuantian approached the door god statue and eventually merged with the image, his spirit residing in the Dragon Tiger Temple.
Ziyue brought a plate of fruit to the main hall and placed the uneaten fruit on the offering table.
"Grandpa Daozu, please don't mind."
Zi Yue muttered to herself.
Qin Luo sat at the table painting door gods. "Junior sister, I'm assigning you the task of promoting door gods. It's one coin per door god. If you've donated incense money, I'll give you one for free."
Okay.
"Leave it to me."
Ziyue patted her chest confidently.
After cleaning the Taoist temple, Ziyue took a bamboo jar and went out to catch insects in the mountains.
Ziyue had promised to catch insects for Xiaotuanzi. There were many caterpillars on the mountain, and the bamboo jar was soon filled.
Laughter and chatter came from the foot of the mountain.
"Senior brother, we've got a customer."
Ziyue excitedly ran back to the Taoist temple.
Qin Luo shook his head and chuckled, "Junior Sister, I've told you many times, we are a legitimate Taoist temple."
"hey-hey."
Zi Yue scratched her head awkwardly.
"Qing'er, this Taoist temple is so remote and dilapidated!" The young woman in the red dress frowned.
Zhao Qing'er smiled and said, "Feifei, don't be fooled by the dilapidated appearance of Longhu Temple. The immortal masters here are very powerful."
"Qing'er, you may have been deceived."
"Perhaps."
Zhao Qing'er didn't say much.
She and her friend Xie Fei went into the Taoist temple.
Zhao Qing'er's servants were also carrying tributes.
