Qin Luo traveled to a world of cultivation where demons ran rampant. To protect himself, he came to the Dragon and Tiger Monastery to learn from a master, only to find out that his master was a swi...
"grandfather!"
The little dumpling shouted loudly.
Old Gao was reclaiming wasteland near Jinghu Academy when he heard Xiao Tuanzi's voice. He looked up and saw a little girl in red appear in front of him in the blink of an eye.
The little boy stood with his hands on his hips, proudly raising his head, "Grandpa, I'm now the Grand Protector of the Dragon Tiger Temple!"
"sharp!"
Lao Gao gave a thumbs up.
Chu Peiran arrived near Jinghu Academy.
He saw the Jinghu Earth God Temple, which had just been renovated and looked much more solemn.
A phantom image appeared, and the Earth God of Mirror Lake appeared outside the temple. He had white hair and a youthful face, and was full of energy. He was different from the Earth Gods that Chu Peiran had seen before. The Earth God in front of him had a dignified and otherworldly air about him.
The Earth God of Mirror Lake could see the righteous aura surrounding Chu Peiran and knew that he was no ordinary scholar.
With a smile, Chu Peiran cupped his hands in greeting and said, "Junior Chu Peiran greets senior."
The Earth God of Mirror Lake smiled kindly, "Young friend, there's no need for such formalities. May I ask what brings you to Mirror Lake?"
“My boss asked him to come and help at Jinghu Academy.”
The little girl arrived at the Earth God Temple. Pointing to the fruit in the bowl, she winked mischievously, "Grandpa Earth God, can I eat this fruit?"
The Earth God of Mirror Lake smiled and nodded, "Little Miss, you can take it if you want to eat it."
"Thank you, Grandpa Earth."
The little dumpling left with the fruit.
Watching them leave, the Earth God of Mirror Lake sighed, "This little fellow has become so polite and sensible after going out with Master Qin. It's a pity that I didn't go with him."
Chu Peiran followed the little dumpling into Jinghu Academy. In the spacious martial arts arena, Wu Shashen sat on the ground, surrounded by many children, all with light in their eyes.
Wu Shashen was drinking his wine as he told the children the story of besieging the tiger demon. The tiger demon was very strong, capable of killing one person in ten steps, and no one could stop it. Even Wu Shashen was almost killed by the tiger demon. The tense atmosphere made the children listening to the story afraid to breathe.
Some of the little girls were so frightened they were trembling.
Wu Shashen said meaningfully, "I hope you can remember this: if you know there are tigers in the mountains, don't go into the tiger's den!"
"Okay, Mr. Wu!"
A child raised his hand, "Mr. Wu, I know why the tiger demon doesn't eat you!"
"Why?"
"Because Mr. Wu didn't take a shower!"
"You're wrong. I know why the tiger demon didn't kill Mr. Wu: even a tiger won't eat its own cubs!"
Wu Shashen was amused by them.
"Boss Tuanzi is here!"
A group of children saw the little dumpling and excitedly ran towards her; the children loved listening to her tell stories.
Zhang Fulong's story is mysterious and enigmatic.
The story of the little dumpling is absolutely wonderful.
The story of Wu the God of Slaughter is simple and unadorned.
The little dumpling raised an eyebrow. "I'm the chief protector of Longhu Temple now, and I'm too busy to handle everything. I'll tell you the story of my battle against the Nine Phoenixes at Jiuyang Mountain when I have more time."
Chu Peiran chuckled and teased, "Nine Phoenixes are no ordinary ferocious beasts, you're not just bragging, are you?"
The little dumpling proudly turned its head, "Hmph, I'm evenly matched with the Heavenly Dao in the capital, what is a little Nine Phoenix?"
"I give up!"
Chu Peiran bowed and clasped his hands in greeting.
The little dumpling gave a haughty snort.
Zhao Qing'er sat under the shade of a tree not far away, teaching the children to weave flower wreaths. She was gentle and patient with the children, and the younger generation in the academy all liked her.
The little dumpling pointed at Zhao Qing'er, "That's Miss Zhao. She's in charge of Mirror Lake Academy. You can talk to her if you have anything to say. I'll go to the cafeteria to see if there's any leftover food."
Zhao Qing'er noticed Chu Peiran. She smiled and stood up. Chu Peiran bowed and said, "Miss Zhao, my name is Chu Peiran. I come from Daxia Academy. Brother Qin asked me to come to Jinghu Academy to help out. I plan to stay here for a while."
Zhao Qing'er was overjoyed. She greeted him with a smile and said warmly, "Young Master Chu, it's a pleasure to have come all this way. Please sit down and rest. I'll make you a cup of tea."
"Miss Zhao, there's no need for such formalities."
Chu Peiran chuckled and said, "Miss Zhao, you don't need to treat me like an outsider. I'd like to take a stroll around the academy first."
Zhao Qing'er smiled slightly, "Young Master Chu, then Qing'er will take you to the academy for a tour first."
"Thank you for your help, Miss Zhao."
Chu Peiran followed Zhao Qing'er on a tour of the academy.
When the little dumpling arrived at the cafeteria, Ziyue's mother, Su Rong, said gently, "Little dumpling, you're late today, but there are still some buns left. I'll take them and heat them up for you."
"Thank you, Auntie!"
“Auntie, I am now the chief protector of Longhu Temple. I will take good care of Ziyue here.”
"I'm entrusting Ziyue to you."
Su Rong brought over the heated buns, saying, "There aren't many meat buns left, but there are quite a few vegetable buns."
"As long as there's food, I'm fine with it. I'm not picky!"
The little dumpling began to wolf down her food, quickly finishing half of the buns. She packed the rest away, then waved to Su Rong, "Auntie, I'm leaving now!"
"See you tomorrow!"
Su Rong said softly.
Zhao Qing'er led Chu Peiran to the teaching area. They stood outside the classroom door, while Linglong was still sitting inside, with children reciting their lessons in front of her, stuttering.
Zhao Qing'er covered her mouth and chuckled, "Linglong looks fierce, but she is actually very gentle. She is very responsible for every child. Without her, I wouldn't be able to keep the unruly children in the academy in check."
Chu Peiran sighed, "If the Great Xia Academy had a female teacher like her, I wouldn't have gone on this trip."
"Young Master Chu is quite the joker."
Zhao Qing'er covered her mouth and chuckled softly.
Montenegro.
Near the mountain god temple, Shi Tou was grilling fish by the campfire, holding a book in his hand and reading it intently. Xiao Tuanzi ran up to him like a gust of wind and handed him two vegetable buns.
