Qin Luo traveled to a world of cultivation where demons ran rampant. To protect himself, he came to the Dragon and Tiger Monastery to learn from a master, only to find out that his master was a swi...
Ziyun Mountain Range.
In the early morning, the mountains are shrouded in mist.
"Help!"
Cries for help echoed through the mountains and forests.
A young man dressed in a blue robe was fleeing in a sorry state through the mountains when a fierce tiger with piercing eyes and a white forehead leaped into the air and blocked his path. The young man was so frightened that he fell to the ground.
"Don't come any closer!"
call out!
The sound of something cutting through the air rang out.
The tiger fell to the ground with a thud.
The boy snapped out of his daze and saw a woodcutter's knife stuck in the tiger's head. Then an old man with white hair walked towards the tiger. Dong Jisheng pulled out the woodcutter's knife, frowned, and said, "There are more and more ferocious beasts in the mountains lately."
"Immortal Master!"
"Thank you so much, Immortal Master, for saving my life."
The boy excitedly kowtowed to Dong Jisheng.
Dong Jisheng turned around, looked at the young man, and said with a smile, "I am just an ordinary woodcutter, not some immortal master. Are you from the State of Chu?"
The boy looked at the tiger lying on the ground and thought that the old man in front of him must be a cultivator. He knelt on the ground and said respectfully, "Master, I am Jingchuan from Jiangzhou City. Please accept me as your disciple."
Dong Jisheng couldn't help but laugh out loud. "Young man, I am really not a master immortal. I am just a country bumpkin who makes a living by chopping wood. If you want to become my disciple, you can go to Longhu Temple."
Jingchuan heard that there was a highly skilled immortal master at Longhu Temple, so he came to Ziyun Mountain Range. He thought that Dong Jisheng was the immortal master at Longhu Temple, so he wanted to become his disciple.
"Aren't you a celestial master from Longhu Temple?"
"No, it's not."
Dong Jisheng raised his hand and laughed loudly, "Longhu Temple is not far from here, it's over there."
Jingchuan looked in the direction Dong Jisheng was pointing, and just then the clouds and fog cleared, and the first rays of sunlight fell on the Longhu Temple on the mountaintop. The mountaintop was bathed in golden light, like a fairyland.
When Jingchuan came to his senses, Dong Jisheng had already left carrying the tiger. He picked up the bundle that had fallen to the ground and headed towards Luoxia Peak with anticipation.
"Those who survive a great calamity are sure to have good fortune in the future."
...
At the foot of Luoxia Peak.
Jing Chuan was a little nervous. He had been to many sects, but he had never passed the assessment because his aptitude was too low.
"Is this the Dragon Tiger Temple?"
A clear and melodious sound rang out.
Jingchuan turned around and saw a girl in colorful clothes walking slowly towards him. Her clear eyes and radiant smile made her seem otherworldly and ethereal, like a celestial being. After a moment of surprise, he asked, "Are you also here to become an apprentice at Longhu Temple?"
Caixia smiled and said, "I want to become your apprentice, but I don't know if the old master will accept me."
"Me too."
Jingchuan scratched his head awkwardly.
"My name is Jingchuan, and I come from Jiangzhou City."
"My name is Caixia, and I come from Jiangling City."
Jingchuan and Caixia went to Longhu Temple together.
At the mountaintop, Jin Yan was cleaning the Taoist temple, Xiao Tuanzi was fast asleep in the room, and Zi Yue was meditating on the Taoist platform in the backyard. She absorbed the morning glow, and mysterious talismans appeared in the surrounding space. The golden talismans simplified and finally turned into golden lines, which merged into Zi Yue's body.
As soon as Jin Yan opened the gate of the Taoist temple, he saw Jing Chuan and Cai Xia arrive in front of the temple. He noticed Cai Xia's bright smile, which was more beautiful than the morning glow, and couldn't help but take another look. "Esteemed benefactors, are you here to offer incense?"
When Jingchuan saw Jin Yan's appearance, he was so nervous that he couldn't speak. Caixia, on the other hand, was not nervous. She smiled and said, "Little Immortal Master, we have come to become your disciples and learn your skills."
Jin Yan extended his hand to welcome them, "You two have come from afar, please rest in the temple first, I will go and inform my master right away."
"Thank you for your trouble, Little Immortal Master!"
Caixia smiled and bowed. She didn't want to rely on connections to get into Longhu Temple, so she didn't mention Xiaotuanzi and Qin Luo.
Jingchuan and Caixia sat in the pavilion in the outer courtyard of the Taoist temple. They waited for a long time before they saw Zhang Fulong come out yawning. Zhang Fulong was wearing a golden Taoist robe, with white hair and many wrinkles on his face. He looked a little tired.
"Caixia pays respects to the venerable master."
"Junior Jingchuan pays respects to the venerable master!"
Upon hearing Caixia's name, Jin Yan felt it sounded familiar, as if he had heard it before.
Recently, Ziyue said she wanted to go down the mountain to travel. Zhang Fulong was afraid that Ziyue would not return, so he had to make plans as soon as possible. He looked at Jingchuan and Caixia.
Jingchuan was tall and strong, with well-developed limbs, while Caixia was petite and seemed intelligent. Zhang Fulong coughed, clenching his fist, and said, "I am very strict in accepting disciples. Can you endure hardship?"
"Master, I can endure hardship."
Jingchuan knelt on the ground, trembling all over.
Caixia blinked innocently, "Old Immortal Master, what is suffering? I don't think I've ever experienced suffering."
Zhang Fulong carefully examined Caixia, noticing her petite figure and implying she couldn't eat much food. "You'll understand what hardship is once you stay at Longhu Temple."
Caixia blinked and whispered, "Master, can I stay at the Dragon Tiger Temple?"
Zhang Fulong stroked his beard and nodded.
"Caixia greets Master!"
Caixia knelt on the ground to pay her respects.
Jingchuan, standing to the side, looked on with envy and asked timidly, "Master Immortal, what about me?"
Zhang Fulong shook his head and sighed softly, "You have no affinity with Longhu Temple. You should go home."
Jing Chuan kowtowed repeatedly, "Old Immortal Master, please give me a chance, I will definitely cultivate diligently."
Zhang Fulong knew that Jing Chuan wouldn't give up easily. He did some calculations and then said deceptively, "Young friend, your opportunity isn't at Longhu Temple. Head south."
"Master, please enlighten me."
"That's all I can say."
Zhang Fulong looked at Jin Yan and said, "Good disciple, I'm entrusting the new junior sister to your care."
"Yes, Master."
Jin Yan nodded respectfully.
Caixia called out in a clear voice, "Senior Brother."
