Who Made You Cultivate Seriously?

Qin Luo traveled to a world of cultivation where demons ran rampant. To protect himself, he came to the Dragon and Tiger Monastery to learn from a master, only to find out that his master was a swi...

Chapter 277 Seeking Advice

Xiaodie pursed her lips and shook her head. She looked at Huaying with gratitude in her eyes. At first, she thought Huaying wouldn't like her, but she didn't expect her to speak up for her now.

Qin Luo thought for a moment, then nodded and said softly, "Alright, then you can stay by my side from now on. When we get back to the Purple Cloud Mountains, I'll have Little Dumpling apologize to you."

"Thank you, Daoist Master. Xiaodie doesn't need to apologize. Without Sister Xiaotuanzi, I wouldn't have been able to obtain the fortune in the Azure Emperor's Secret Realm." Xiaodie even thanked Xiaotuanzi.

"No wonder the little dumpling wanted to kick you out."

Hua Ying joked with a smile.

Xiaodie asked in confusion, "Why?"

Hua Ying raised an eyebrow. "You're not smart."

Xiaodie pursed her lips, somewhat worried. She was actually a little afraid of Xiaotuanzi and muttered softly, "If Sister Xiaotuanzi doesn't like me, will Daoye kick me out?"

"Won't."

Qin Luo rinsed the bowl in clean water and said softly, "Little Tuanzi is easy to get along with. Sister Azi has a problem with Little Tuanzi, but don't take it to heart."

Hua Ying glared at Qin Luo, then pouted arrogantly, "She clearly thinks I'm easy to bully."

"It's my fault for not teaching her well."

"I won't argue with her."

"She still likes you very much."

What do you like about me?

"A money tree, who wouldn't like that?"

I really want to hit you!

Hua Ying gritted her teeth in anger.

"Ha ha……"

"This Buddhist scripture is really... interesting."

Xuanqing looked down at the Buddhist scripture in his hand.

Xiaodie found their conversation very interesting. She left the kitchen with a happy expression and then told DouDou and the others the good news that she could follow Qin Luo.

DouDou and XiaoTao were both happy for her, but Wang Guiyi was reluctant to let XiaoDie leave. "XiaoDie, don't go. If you leave, my workload will double."

"Master Dao, could you take me with you?"

Wang Guiyi ran into the kitchen.

"Life at Longhuguan is even harder than here; you might not even get a chance to drink porridge."

"Then forget it!"

...

In the afternoon, the sun was blazing outside, but a cool breeze often blew through Qinghe Tower.

The first floor is more lively, while the second floor is relatively quiet.

Qin Luo and the others were reading in a corner on the second floor. Xuan Qing was reading Buddhist scriptures, and Hua Ying was reading a novel without a title.

Xiaodie brought over a cup of freshly brewed hot tea and gently placed it in front of Qin Luo and the others.

The aroma of tea fills the air, like a gentle spring breeze.

When Qin Luo read the Confucian classics and came across a passage with profound meaning, he would pick up his teacup and take a sip. When Xuan Qing saw Qin Luo drinking tea, he also picked up his teacup and took a sip, and Hua Ying followed suit and took a sip as well.

Qin Luo clicked his tongue.

Xuan Qing clicked his tongue in agreement.

Just as Hua Ying was about to click her tongue, she looked up and glared at them. "Am I crazy to copy them?"

Wang Guiyi, holding a broom, muttered to himself, "Old Zhao, I think they're family."

"Possibly."

Old Zhao's eyes were filled with envy.

A book, a cup of tea, an afternoon—if there are no worries on your mind, then it is a good time of year.

Time flies, and it was evening in the blink of an eye. Qin Luo and Hua Ying went to the kitchen to prepare the meal, while Xuan Qing sat on a small stool in front of the stove, responsible for adding firewood and starting the fire.

They understood each other so well that they didn't need to speak.

Xuanqing kept reciting Buddhist scriptures.

As night fell, Qinghelou became quiet. Wang Guiyi closed the doors early so that he could eat in peace.

Night fell, and the building was brightly lit by candlelight. Everyone sat together as usual. Xiao Tao smiled and reminded him, "Old Zhao, don't drink tonight."

"Okay, Sister Tao."

Old Zhao scratched his head awkwardly.

Qin Luo smiled and said, "Have some soup. This soup is quite good."

The table was laden with a sumptuous feast; if Qin Luo hadn't persuaded Hua Ying, it would probably have been even more lavish than the one last night.

"Yes, this soup is so delicious. It makes me feel warm all over." Dou Dou felt comfortable and noticed that there was a rich spiritual substance in the soup.

Hua Ying said softly, "There is a thousand-year-old Ganoderma lucidum in the soup. You can drink more of this soup; it's good for your health."

"Lingzhi is a good thing."

Wang Guiyi first served a bowl of soup to Lao Zhao, then immediately served himself a bowl. He gulped down the soup in a few mouthfuls, exclaiming, "It's truly a delicacy!"

"No, I need another bowl!"

A large bowl of Ganoderma lucidum soup was quickly finished, and the dishes on the table disappeared at a visible speed. Seeing that everyone enjoyed the food, Hua Ying smiled.

Why am I having a nosebleed?

"Haha, you can't handle the nourishment!"

"Am I going to die?"

"It's fine."

"I guess I'm only good at enduring hardship."

"Hahaha."

After dinner, Dou Dou and Xiao Die took on the task of washing the dishes. Wang Guiyi, however, shamelessly asked Xuan Qing about his understanding of Buddhist scriptures. Hua Ying sat behind the counter, listening to Dou Dou explain how the wooden plaques on the wall came to be.

Qin Luo looked at Old Zhao, who was cleaning, and said, "Old Zhao, come upstairs with me to see the view."

Old Zhao thought he had misheard.

"Old Zhao!"

"They're here! They're here!"

Qinghe Tower is the tallest building in Jiangling City. At its highest point is a pavilion with a wide view, overlooking the entire city and the fishing boats coming and going on the river.

"Master Dao, is there something you need from me?"

Old Zhao looked puzzled.

Qin Luo held a flask of wine in his hand. He raised the flask and said, "Old Zhao, I'll treat you to a drink. In return, could you teach me some boxing?"

Old Zhao's eyes widened. He waved his hands repeatedly, lowered his head, and said with some shame, "Master Dao, my mediocre skills are not worthy of your attention."
