Qin Luo traveled to a world of cultivation where demons ran rampant. To protect himself, he came to the Dragon and Tiger Monastery to learn from a master, only to find out that his master was a swi...
Jiuyang County.
Qin Luo and his companions strolled through the fields. The autumn air was crisp and clear, with a few white clouds drifting lazily overhead, and golden rice paddies stretching along both sides of the road.
The wind rustled through the wheat fields, the rice stalks bowed their heads, and the fragrance of rice filled the air. Xuanqing reached out her little hand to pluck the plump rice stalks, while a colorful butterfly rested on Xiaodie's fingertip.
In the distant village, children were playing, and in the fields, farmers wearing straw hats were checking the growth of the rice while banging on basins to drive away the birds.
Xuan Qing was startled and withdrew his hand. The butterfly in Xiao Die's hand also flew away in fright. Qin Luo still felt calm and walked slowly. He turned his head to look at the flower shadows and chuckled, "These few white clouds have been following us for a while."
Hua Ying raised an eyebrow. "You don't like it?"
"Something's not right."
"All right."
Hua Ying reached out and grabbed the cloud above her head, then casually tossed it away, crushing it and sending it flying into the distance.
Qin Luo saw an old woman walking towards him, carrying a basin of clothes and preparing to wash them in the nearby river.
"Grandma, do you know any scenic spots around here?" Qin Luo asked with a smile.
"The most famous place in Jiuyang County is naturally Jiuyang Mountain."
"Anything else besides Jiuyang Mountain?"
"There is another unforgettable place in Jiuyang County. Head southeast, pass through the canyon, and you will see a mirror-like sea. Not far away is the Cloud Sea Cliff, which is said to be a view that only immortals can see."
"Grandma, have you been there?"
"No, I married into this family from the next village and have never left. This place is my everything."
"Thank you, Grandma."
Qin Luo cupped his hands in thanks.
The old woman left with the dirty clothes.
Hua Ying said softly, "What, you want to go?"
Qin Luo smiled and nodded, "A sight to behold for a lifetime, of course we should go see it. Do you all agree?"
"agree!"
"Uh-huh!"
Xuanqing and Xiaodie nodded.
Hua Ying's beautiful eyes narrowed slightly. Going to Yunhai Cliff now would be a way away from Longhu Temple, which would delay her return to Longhu Temple for a while.
"What, you don't want to go?"
Qin Luo looked at the flower shadow.
"Didn't you want to go back to Longhu Temple as soon as possible?"
Hua Ying's eyes were filled with doubt.
Qin Luo smiled slightly, "After all, it's an unforgettable sight, I don't want to miss it."
Hua Yingyan chuckled softly, "Then let's go take a look."
"Yay!"
Xuanqing carried the wooden stake and walked ahead.
Hua Ying looked at Qin Luo's profile; he seemed quite content, and she had a feeling he was deliberately taking a detour.
......
Two days later, at Leiguang Gorge.
The canyon is full of exotic flowers and plants.
Xuan Qing walked ahead, and the snakes and insects scattered and fled. Qin Luo and the others walked to the depths of the canyon and encountered a boy carrying a bamboo basket and holding a sharp sickle in his hand.
The boy looked wary when he saw Qin Luo and his group. Qin Luo smiled and said softly, "Don't be nervous, we're just here to see the scenery."
"The canyon is dangerous. I've heard that many people who come to enjoy the scenery die there." The boy looked at Qin Luo and the others. They didn't seem like bad people, but he didn't let his guard down.
Qin Luo smiled and said softly, "Since there's danger in the canyon, why did you come here alone?"
The boy was wearing straw sandals, his clothes were tattered, he had abrasions on his body, and his clothes were covered in mud, indicating that he had encountered danger in the canyon. "This is none of your business."
Hua Ying joked, "He likes to meddle in other people's business."
Qin Luo smiled. Sensing the boy's predicament, he said softly, "We want to go to Mirror Sea and Cloud Sea Cliff. If you can take us there, we can offer you a reward."
Hearing about the reward, the boy was tempted, but he still dared not let his guard down. He deliberately raised his voice, "Once you cross the canyon in front of you, you will see Mirror Sea. Cloud Sea Cliff is on the other side of Mirror Sea. I have to go home to take care of my mother. I'm leaving now."
The boy brushed past Qin Luo and the others.
Qin Luo said softly, "He is indeed a filial child."
A moment later, the boy turned back to look at Qin Luo and the others as they walked into the depths of the canyon. "I warned them about the danger."
Deep in the canyon, Xuanqing saw spiritual fruits in the mountains. Overjoyed, he stuck all the picked fruits into wooden stakes. Xiaodie returned with many spiritual herbs, looking very respectful. "Master Daoist, are any of these spiritual herbs useful to you?"
Qin Luo shook his head.
They are all ordinary medicinal herbs.
Xiaodie was a little disappointed.
Hua Ying said softly, "That kid followed us."
Qin Luo looked back and saw the boy running towards them, shouting, "It's dangerous inside the canyon, there are big black snakes."
The boy ran up breathlessly. He hadn't wanted to care about Qin Luo and the others' lives, but after thinking it over, he decided he couldn't just stand by and watch them die, so he came to remind them.
"Is it this big black snake?"
A massive black shadow rose from the ground, and Xuanqing sat on the head of the giant black snake, grinning foolishly.
The large black snake exuded a terrifying aura.
The boy was so frightened by the large black snake that he fell to the ground. Qin Luo stepped forward, reached out and helped the boy up, and smiled, "With us here, you don't need to be afraid."
"Brother, Lao Hei said he'd lead the way for us."
Xuan Qing grinned.
"Um."
Qin Luo nodded.
Only then did the boy realize that Qin Luo and the others were no ordinary people, and his eyes were filled with awe. "Are you immortal masters?"
"I guess so."
Qin Luo nodded with a smile.
In his mind, immortal masters were all about riding the clouds and mist, while Qin Luo and his companions were down-to-earth. The young man hadn't thought of that for a moment.
Qin Luo smiled and asked, "If you have any difficulties, you can tell me, and we might be able to help you."
The boy lowered his head and said, "My mother is sick. Doctors from all around say there's no hope for her. I don't want to give up. The Golden Flower Goddess told me that there is a Thunder Tribulation Grass in the valley that has the power to bring the dead back to life, so I wanted to give it a try."
