Qin Luo traveled to a world of cultivation where demons ran rampant. To protect himself, he came to the Dragon and Tiger Monastery to learn from a master, only to find out that his master was a swi...
On his way back to Longhu Temple, Qin Luo saw two red figures rushing towards him.
"Uncle Qin!"
Lin Jia'er shouted loudly.
The little dumpling led Lin Jia'er closer. She looked behind Qin Luo, frowned, and asked, "Boss, Zi Yue shouldn't be far away yet, right?"
"Zi Yue walks very fast; it might take you some time to catch up," Qin Luo said with a smile.
"well!"
The little dumpling let out a long sigh.
Lin Jia'er looked at the little dumpling, "Great Protector, should we still pursue Auntie?"
The little dumpling shook its head helplessly, looking regretful, and said, "It seems that Ziyue really wants to travel the world, but I forgot to tell her to bring me back some delicious food."
Qin Luo couldn't help but chuckle, "I can't let you come all this way for nothing, so I'll treat you to mutton soup."
"Yay!"
The little dumpling's eyes lit up.
Under the bright sunshine, the market at the foot of Luoxia Peak was bustling. Qin Luo came to the stall selling mutton soup and said softly, "Stadium owner, two bowls of mutton soup, please."
The middle-aged stall owner had a few more gray hairs on his head. He smiled and said warmly, "Master Qin, please have a seat for a while. The mutton soup will be here soon."
"Good morning, Master Qin."
"Good morning."
Qin Luo greeted the people around him with a smile.
Before long, the middle-aged stall owner brought two bowls of mutton soup filled with mutton to the table and said respectfully, "Master Qin, this is your mutton soup."
"Thanks."
Qin Luo smiled.
Both bowls of mutton soup were normal portions, containing both mutton and offal. Xiao Tuanzi and Lin Jiaer picked up their bowls and took a big gulp of the mutton soup.
"It smells so good!"
Little Dumpling and Lin Jia'er ate with great relish.
The middle-aged stall owner brought over a plate of freshly baked flatbread, steaming hot and emitting a rich aroma. "Master Qin, this flatbread is a gift for you. You can have more mutton soup if you want."
Qin Luo smiled and nodded, "Thank you."
"Thank you, uncle!"
Lin Jia'er said crisply.
The little girl, with mutton in her mouth, raised her hand, gave a thumbs-up, and muttered, "Uncle, your mutton is still the best. I'll help you promote it, and you'll be too busy to handle it."
"Then thank you in advance, Great Protector."
The middle-aged stall owner couldn't stop smiling.
After eating and drinking their fill, the little dumpling took Lin Jia'er deep into the mountains to gather herbs. They ran in the sunlight like the wind, oblivious to sorrow.
At Longhu Temple, Xiaodie was sweeping the floor with a broom, while Jinyan was offering incense and praying for blessings in the main hall.
"May the Dao Ancestor protect my senior sister and keep her safe."
Jin Yan bowed in prayer.
Caixia's clear eyes were like lakes. She blinked and said gently, "Senior Brother Jinyan, life is full of partings. Senior Sister loves freedom and wants to go down the mountain to travel. We should be happy for her. Why do you look so sad?"
Jin Yan thought about it for a moment and realized that Cai Xia made a good point. He scratched his head, feeling a little ashamed. "Junior Sister, you're right. I always miss the past and am afraid of losing it. What do you think I should do?"
"Let nature take its course."
Caixia smiled sweetly and said, "That's what Senior Brother said."
Jin Yan chuckled and said, "Junior Sister, I actually know many of these principles, but I just can't put them into practice."
"Senior brother, you can definitely do it."
"Uh-huh."
Seeing Caixia's radiant smile, Jin Yan nodded heavily; he didn't want to disappoint his junior sister.
Outside the Taoist gate of Longhu Temple, Qin Luo squatted down and handed half a baked flatbread to Jinjiao.
Crunch, crunch!
Golden Horn wagged its tail happily.
Qin Luo rubbed Golden Horn's head. "Golden Horn, do you ever have worries?"
Jinjiao tilted his head and thought for a moment, "Boss, I had a lot of troubles before I met you. After coming to Longhu Temple, I had no more troubles. Everyone is very kind to me. When the temple is lively, many people give me food. When the temple is quiet, the door gods will tell me stories of ancient demons."
Qin Luo smiled and nodded. He walked into the Taoist temple and saw Xiao Die sweeping the floor. He smiled and said, "Xiao Die, the temple has been quiet lately, so you don't need to keep cleaning."
"Yes, Master Dao."
Xiaodie nodded obediently.
Qin Luo arrived at the main hall of the Taoist temple, and Jin Yan and Cai Xia called out at the same time, "Senior Brother!"
"Junior Sister, are you drawing a visualization?" Qin Luo asked, noticing the strange scene Cai Xia was painting.
Caixia smiled and said, "Senior brother, these are the scenes I've seen, some memorable moments. Senior brother Jin Yan has never left the Ziyun Mountains, so I want to paint the world I've seen."
"It's really well drawn."
"hey-hey."
Caixia smiled brightly.
Qin Luo smiled and said, "You can tell me whatever troubles you have."
Caixia shook her head. "No."
Jin Yan paused, then scratched his head and chuckled, "Senior brother, my worries are probably the same as Xiao Tuanzi's—why can't I ever grow taller?"
"Junior brother, you and Xiao Tuanzi don't look very tall, but in many people's eyes, you are very tall." Qin Luo patted Jin Yan on the shoulder.
Caixia winked playfully, "Yes, Senior Brother Jin Yan is very, very important to me."
Jin Yan scratched his head shyly.
Qin Luo came to the backyard of the Taoist temple alone. He watched the peach blossoms fall on the Taoist platform and murmured, "Junior Sister is not used to cultivating here."
A moment later, Qin Luo gently brushed his sleeves, and the peach blossoms on the platform were blown away. He sat cross-legged on the platform, watching the peach blossoms fly into the distance, and then closed his eyes to meditate.
evening.
Zhang Fulong arrived at the backyard of the Taoist temple. He looked at Qin Luo, who was surrounded by a misty aura, and rubbed his eyes. In the blink of an eye, Qin Luo's figure became clear.
