I used half my life to gain this great enlightenment. If I were to look back even once, I would deserve to die," Chen Lu said to himself after waking up.
He and Mo Yuqing had known each o...
"Okay, sure."
Chen Lu then shifted his attention back to Liang Zhirou's legs. Everyone says that white stockings make you look fat, but that doesn't seem to apply to Liang Zhirou at all.
Her legs were still slender and just right, and unlike when she wore black stockings, they now seemed inexplicably more ethereal.
After discovering he was a foot fetishist, Chen Lu has now discovered he's also a white stocking fetishist.
Having figured this out, he simply threw aside any unused conscience and indulged in the thrill of being a leader.
Seeing Liang Zhirou yawn while covering her mouth with her hand, Chen Lu simply suggested, "Anyway, you can't sleep well without me, so why don't you just move in and live with me?"
"No...it's too early," Liang Zhirou muttered softly.
This is an act that cannot be concealed even by being completely innocent.
If she uses that excuse again, she won't just fail to fool others, she won't even be able to fool herself...
Liang Zhirou was not Chen Lu after all, and couldn't come up with such a shocking excuse as 'my roommate just happens to be my girlfriend' to fool herself.
"When is it too early?" Chen Lu asked curiously. He hadn't expected this simpleton to agree so readily; he was just teasing him out of habit.
Liang Zhirou blinked her clear, beautiful eyes and tentatively asked in a low voice, "Wait until we get married?"
Chen Lu did not respond, but simply looked at her calmly.
Liang Zhirou got nervous and poked Chen Lu's waist with her finger. "I... I'm a junior next year, and I'll start my internship after junior year... If you still don't think it's okay, we can wait until we get our marriage certificate."
She was completely unaware of just how quickly her bottom line had been lowered.
Chen Lu remained silent.
"Then... when Mom gets better?" The girl's voice was already trembling slightly, and she had long since lost her nerve.
Chen Lu wanted to keep staring at her to see how far she could lower her standards, but unfortunately he couldn't help but laugh, so he had to give up.
I've never seen anything like this, given away for free.
Then Liang Zhirou hit him hard on the forehead, and he rolled around on the bed in pain.
Even the most naive person, seeing Chen Lu's suppressed laughter at the end, could tell that he had been faking it from the very beginning.
But words spoken are words spilled, and she can't escape them now. Chen Lu will definitely use this "contract of servitude" to lure her away.
How could this person only know how to lie to her?
Liang Zhirou was initially angry and annoyed, but seeing Chen Lu's wailing appearance, she regretted it and, without caring whether he was faking it or not, quickly went over to apologize.
As compensation, she had no choice but to sit sideways on the bed and let Chen Lu lie on her lap, then reached out to massage Chen Lu's chest.
Chen Lu was prone to drowsiness, so he simply closed his eyes to rest.
White silk lap pillow, what a blissful life!
Suddenly, I felt a tickle on my cheek; it must be because that silly guy was looking down at me.
New Year's Day is coming soon.
After an unknown amount of time, the girl suddenly spoke.
This year, the Spring Festival is very close to New Year's Day; the Spring Festival will be two weeks after New Year's Day.
"Should we... do we ring in the New Year together on New Year's Eve?"
Liang Zhirou finally mustered up the courage to say something in a very, very soft voice.
She was, after all, a girl who had just turned nineteen a few months ago, and it was her first time dating, so she must have some longing for this kind of thing.
After all, probably 99% of couples spend New Year's Eve together. People in love are silly; they especially like things that are supposed to be 'memorable'.
When you have someone you like, you can't help but want to relive the things you've experienced before together, so that all the beautiful things become shared memories.
Feel the evening breeze that blows alone, and watch the sunset together, the kind of sunset you often look at when you're feeling down.
Even the moon that once made you stop and gaze at it takes on a different meaning when viewed with someone you love.
Chen Lu yawned and nodded. He kept his eyes closed and had no idea how many times his simple mouth opened and closed before he managed to squeeze out the sentence.
“We can celebrate New Year’s Day together too,” he said lazily.
"Okay." Liang Zhirou thought about it and realized that this way she could cross the threshold twice, which seemed like a good deal.
Two seconds later, Chen Lu realized the feasibility of this, and he immediately sat up straight, startling Liang Zhirou.
"It's no fun making phone calls to celebrate the New Year. If we're going to celebrate, let's actually do it together."
"Have you figured out how to lie to me?" the girl asked softly.
Chen Lu felt something was off as he listened. "Are you waiting for me to give you a way out?"
"How could that be? I'm not that stupid." Liang Zhirou was still sitting sideways on the bed, tilting her head and blinking her eyes at him.
Chen Lu smiled. He remembered his mission here. He patted the pillow and said, "Go to sleep. I have to go back after I get you to sleep."
Liang Zhirou looked somewhat dejected, but still nodded.
"I'll draw the curtains." She knew Chen Lu didn't like sunbathing.
The window is right next to the bed.
Liang Zhirou knelt on the bed as she walked, her skirt swaying with each step.
The curtains block out light very well; as soon as they were drawn, the once bright bedroom suddenly became dark.
The girl nestled closer and lay down obediently next to Chen Lu. Even though she was already yawning, she still had no intention of sleeping. She took out her phone and opened the Bilibili app.
"I'm watching Miaomiao's favorite anime," Liang Zhirou said softly. Just being able to draw isn't enough; you need to understand the characters' personalities to draw better. She couldn't possibly draw for so long without recognizing the characters, could she?
