Chen Lu turned his head and saw a boy stand up angrily, pointing at the part-time girl and yelling. The girl was so frightened that she trembled, and the hot soup she was holding splashed onto her arm.

Strangely, even so, she didn't dare to say a word, but just kept her head down.

Every time the boy yelled, the girl would tremble in fright, her eyes visibly welling up with tears, but she dared not let them fall.

"Is this guy crazy? It was clearly his fault for not putting it away properly; the glass fell down by itself," Jiang Chao muttered, squinting his eyes.

Upon hearing this, Chen Lu stepped forward without saying a word and gently pulled the girl behind him.

The other person looked to be about the same age as me, with a girl sitting next to him and three other boys sitting opposite him.

Seeing couples only fueled Chen Lu's anger after his confession was rejected.

On the table were campus cards from Yuhang University; they all seemed to belong to their own school.

Even the highest score requirement can't filter out the scum...

"What's it to you? If you want to fight, just say so!"

Seeing the other person pick up a bottle and glare angrily at him, Chen Lu wasn't in a hurry. He turned to look at the boys sitting opposite him.

Surprisingly, not a single person was willing to tell the truth; instead, they all looked at me with ill intent.

The boy was speechless for a moment, staring blankly at him. "Aren't you afraid your friend will lose his student council position?"

Chen Lu pretended not to understand at all, blinking as he stared at the other person. "No, he just couldn't persuade us, he wouldn't do anything."

And actually, we don't need him...

But I believe we're all civilized people, we see each other all the time. How about we get to know each other and have a drink?

The boy nervously swallowed as he looked at Chen Lu, who was raising his glass.

Since they couldn't go back to school anyway, the group decided to spend the night at an internet cafe.

Just as Chen Lu was about to leave, he saw the part-time girl come out of the store, wiping away tears as she walked to the other side.

Are there really people who get burned and don't even know to apply medicine?

"You guys go ahead, I'll go check it out." Chen Lu said, then jogged after them.

"Why did he chase after him?" Li Sinian asked curiously.

Jiang Chao had just lit a cigarette when he saw several children playing nearby. He quickly stubbed it out and said, "He probably sensed something was off about that girl. After all, he's very observant."
