Why Provoke Her? Even the King of Hell Has to Hand Over a Pacifier

A modern Feng Shui master and fortune teller, Lin Wanyue, is transported by a car accident to a dynasty not recorded in history, becoming a three-year-old baby abandoned in a mass grave.

Chapter 222 Grandma, how about I buy you two maids?

"Boss, how much is this? Give me one!" shouted the regular customer at the front of the line.

He helped unload cargo at the docks, and because of his strength, he earned quite a bit every day. He usually felt that steamed buns and mantou were not filling or flavorful enough, but now that Lin's Restaurant was open, he could have two servings of roasted sweet potato noodles for breakfast alone, which was not too greasy and filled him up.

Working in the sweltering summer heat is exhausting; even early this morning, my forehead was already covered in a thin layer of sweat.

Looking at this brightly colored fruit salad, regular customers immediately felt that the hot weather had lessened.

"This fruit salad is also three coins a serving. If you like it, I'll add more for you!" Liu Junlan said with a smile, as she picked up a lotus leaf that had already been prepared.

Then, he used a spoon to scoop out several kinds of fruit pieces from each copper basin and placed them on top, then poured a spoonful of ice cream and a spoonful of sweet honey, and sprinkled fine ice cubes around it. Look how clear and clean the color is.

Worried that it would be inconvenient for guests to eat, they prepared the bamboo skewers last night, one end large and the other small.

The smaller end is slightly pointed, which is perfect for inserting into fruit. The larger end is like a small spoon; although it's flat and not as bumpy as a regular spoon, it's still very convenient for scooping things out.

Liu Junlan inserted a specially made bamboo skewer into a piece of cantaloupe and handed it to her regular customer.

The regular customer immediately beamed with joy, took out three coins and handed them over, while giving a thumbs-up and praising, "I love eating at your place! Look how clean and thoughtfully prepared this is! I used to worry that there wasn't enough food here, and I was afraid I'd get tired of it someday, but now I don't worry anymore. You've only been here for less than a month, and you've already come up with new things!"

"Only three coins, and there's so much? I'll have one too. I love watermelon, can you give me extra?" The people behind me were looking on with envy, and since the price wasn't too expensive, someone immediately chimed in.

"Sure." Liu Junlan was worried that her goods wouldn't sell, but now that the customer had made a request, how could she refuse?

"Of course! Our watermelons are the sweetest! They taste even better than the ones you buy outside. If you prefer something else, I'll give you less, but more watermelon." Liu Junlan wasn't one to boast, but now that she was in business, she had to do it, like a peddler praising their own wares.

If you don't tell others how good your things are, how will they know?

Nowadays, some people carry loads of fruit to sell at the market, but most of them are just some fruit trees that rural people casually plant in their vegetable gardens or in front of or behind their houses.

They would take what they couldn't eat to the county town to exchange for some money.

Even though they had already been sorted, the quality of those items still looked rather ordinary.

The fruit salad sold by the Lin family, however, did not use fruit bought from the market; its taste and appearance were much better than the fruit sold at the market.

Of course, more importantly, these fruits and vegetables have almost no cost. Even if they sell for three coins, the price is cheap, but it is still pure profit.

While busy with her work, Liu Junlan pondered for a moment, then glanced at Lin Wanyue when she had a free moment.

This fruit salad was Lin Wanyue's idea, and she also provided the ingredients. I don't know how she has so many strange and wonderful things in her little head.

Lin Wanyue was also in a fairly large queue under the shade of the tree.

Their business was booming when two horse-drawn carriages bumped into each other on the street.

The coachman started cursing right there in the street, "Hey you over there, are you blind? You dare to crash into our young master's carriage? Be careful, our young master will deal with you."

"How can you be so unreasonable? It's clearly because you were blind that you bumped into our young master's carriage and almost threw him out! If our young master had rolled out, your family would have been in deep trouble too!" The coachman was not one to be trifled with. He put his hands on his hips and spat at the other side.

"Alright, alright, stop arguing! My father said that in business, harmony brings wealth." Young Master Liu's round face emerged from the carriage, and he lifted the curtain, revealing a chubby body.

Young Master Liu frantically fanned himself, but beads of sweat continued to roll down his face.

He eats well and is quite fat. Now that the weather is getting hot, it's a real test for someone as fat as him.

No matter how much his father, Master Liu, wanted to kick him out to do business, the young master Liu refused to leave the house and stayed by the ice chest every day. This infuriated Master Liu, who felt that he had raised a spendthrift son.

But to everyone's surprise, a servant came to deliver a message saying that Lin's Restaurant had launched a new dish, but no one was buying it.

Upon hearing this, Young Master Liu exclaimed, "That won't do! I have to come over and support Brother Lin right away!"

So, enduring the heat, he climbed onto the carriage.

Before the curtain of the carriage opposite was lifted, a leg had already stuck out.

He kicked the coachman off the road.

"What's all the noise about! I'm here to see my great-aunt. You just woke her up, so don't blame me for throwing you into the mountains to feed the tigers!" Jiang Yongqiang stepped out of the carriage, also holding a large fan in his hand, fanning himself vigorously.

It was hot, and he didn't want to walk here. He took a carriage, but who knew that Ma Chao would be even more hot-tempered than him?

The coachman, kicked off by his young master, dared not utter a word.

When Jiang Yongqiang got off the carriage, he still had the arrogant attitude of a young master who looked down on everyone, but as soon as his eyes rolled and he saw Lin Wanyue hiding from the sun under the tree, his face immediately changed to a fawning smile.
