"Imperial Prison!" Yun Chuwei said calmly.

Huo Qingjue nodded immediately, and then said, "Miss, please go back and rest first. I will inform you of the results after I have interrogated the person!"

Yun Chuwei shook her head.

"No need, I'll investigate myself!"

When Yun Chuwei arrived at the imperial prison, Yun Qianming was already hanging on the rack.

He was surrounded by all sorts of instruments of torture, and there was even a brazier with a branding iron glowing red-hot in it.

"You knew very well that she would die?" Yun Chuwei said calmly.

After speaking, Yun Chuwei beckoned Huo Qingjue, who was standing to the side.

Huo Qingjue walked up to Yun Chuwei and obeyed her instructions.

Yun Chuwei whispered a few words in Huo Qingjue's ear.

Huo Qingjue was astonished by what Yun Chuwei said, but he didn't say anything more and turned to leave.

Not long after, Huo Qingjue returned.

He also returned with a huge cage.

There was a wolfhound in the cage.

The wolfhound looked ferocious and was clearly starving. When it saw Yun Chuwei, it was about to pounce and bite her.

Yun Chuwei's mocking smile became even more pronounced.

Yun Qianming struggled in pain, but his legs were held down tightly, and he couldn't move at all.

He looked at Yun Chuwei, his eyes filled with fear.

The wolfhound was clearly not full; it ate with a grimacing grin and scratched at the cage with its front paws, trying to get out.

However, the iron cage was very sturdy, and no marks were found on it.

Yun Chuwei ignored the wolfhound and looked at Yun Qianming instead.

At this moment, the fearless expression on Yun Qianming's face had long since crumbled.

He looked at Yun Chuwei in fear and said, "It was Consort Xi's people who gave me the Gu worms while you were hunting. She had a maid with her who was from Miao territory and was proficient in the art of Gu worms."
