"No need, I'll take her home!"

Tang Li suddenly turned around and met Lu Jianshen's cold and stern eyes.

Shouldn't Lu Jianshen be on a date with Gu Mingyue today?

Why are you here again?

Gu Mingcheng glanced at Lu Jianshen and frowned. He had received a rumor that the two had already divorced.

Why would an ex-husband still come to pick up his ex-wife from get off work after the divorce?

They don't look like they're getting a divorce.

His cousin, Gu Mingyue, also said that Gu Mingcheng had a blind date with Lu Jianshen, which made him suspicious.

Lu Jianshen chuckled and reminded him, "Mr. Gu, if you don't leave soon, your car will be blocking the entrance and getting in their way!"

Gu Mingcheng could only force an awkward smile, say goodbye to Tang Li first, and turn to leave.

"What are you doing here?" Tang Li sat back down and continued drawing, pretending to be nonchalant. "Shouldn't you have gone on a blind date today and spent the whole night talking with your date?"

"You really want me to be with Gu Mingyue?"

Tang Li's paintbrush didn't stop, and he didn't even lift his head.

She spoke with feigned indifference, "This has nothing to do with me. I wish you happiness!"

Lu Jianshen cleared his throat: "I came to see you because I have something important to discuss. I really like this Miss Gu. Could you help me pick out a gift, something suitable for a girl?"

Upon hearing this, Tang Li stopped painting and looked up at Lu Jianshen with a cold gaze.

"Since it's a gift for your sweetheart, you should choose it yourself to show your sincerity. Mr. Lu, it's not appropriate for you to let your ex-wife choose it for you, is it?"

Lu Jianshen smiled, his scrutinizing gaze lingering on Tang Li's face. "I trust your judgment. I've had a headache all day and don't want to worry about it anymore!"

Tang Li declined indifferently, "My drawing isn't finished yet, I don't have time today."

She doesn't have that much free time.

Lu Jianshen didn't give up. He sat down on the sofa where Tang Li was receiving guests and took out his tablet to look at the reports.

"It's okay, I'm not in a hurry. I'll wait for you to get off work here."

Tang Li gripped her pen tightly. "By the time I get off work, all the jewelry stores around here will be closed. Why don't you go and take a look yourself, pick out a bracelet or necklace or something!"

Why should we entrust such a simple task to someone else?

Tang Li felt that Lu Jianshen was deliberately picking a fight!

Mr. Lu remained calm and composed as he sat there. "I'm not in a hurry."

Tang Li couldn't hold it in any longer; his heart was heavy, and he couldn't continue drawing. He slammed his paintbrush down on the table.

It's just picking out a gift for your current partner, isn't it?

"Okay, I'll go downstairs with you to take a look!"

Tang Li randomly entered a jewelry store by the roadside and picked out a diamond bracelet.

"I think this one is quite nice, it suits Miss Gu very well!"

Lu Jianshen looked thoughtful, nodded, and said, "I think it's just so-so. Let's take another look. Her skin is fair, so colored diamonds would suit her better!"

"Then let's choose this aquamarine. It's clear and clean, what do you think?"

Tang Li thought Lu Jianshen had really lost his mind after being hit by a bag! He dragged his ex-wife to pick out a gift for his current blind date.

"I still don't think it will work, let's see."

Tang Li took a deep breath, glanced at the medical tape on his head, and nodded.

"Sure, no problem, let's go check the second floor!"

Lu Jianshen was not satisfied with any of the choices Tang Li made. Tang Li finally realized that Lu Jianshen was just looking for trouble.

"Lu Jianshen, did I smash your head? Is your brain damaged now?"

Lu Jianshen replied indifferently, "Now that I think about it, the bracelet you chose at the beginning was better. Why don't we go back downstairs and take another look?"

Tang Li shook off Lu Jianshen. What a shrewd woman!

"Now that I've made my selection, I'll head home from get off work!"

Lu Jianshen suddenly raised his hand to his temple, "Tang Li, my head hurts!"

Tang Li thought he was pretending on purpose, and turned to leave.

But she couldn't bear it, so she turned around and looked back. Seeing that Lu Jianshen's face was indeed a little pale, she stopped in her tracks.

Stop pretending!

Lu Jianshen still didn't seem right.

Tang Li pursed her lips. "What's wrong with you? Did the doctor say anything yesterday?"

The man sighed softly and gently rubbed his temples. "I had a headache all day at the company."

Tang Li had no choice but to go over and help him up. "Then I'll take you home first. When we pass by the first floor later, I'll place an order for that bracelet."

"No need, just take me home first."

His original intention was not to choose a bracelet or buy a gift; it was just an excuse he made up.

"Lu Jianshen, weren't you going to buy a gift for her?"

The man's expression was aloof. "I suddenly don't want to see her off anymore. I think she's pretty ordinary."

He saw no concern or frustration on Tang Li's face, and was somewhat disappointed.

Tang Li really didn't care at all. Even though he was close to other women, this woman was really generous and carefree!

"So how much is a suitable bridesmaid red envelope for me? I won't agree to it if it's less than 100,000 yuan!"

Lu Jianshen's faint smile froze.

He shouldn't have tested her; her calm demeanor always made Lu Jianshen look bad!

Tang Li proved time and again with her actions that she did not love him, that Tang Li did not love Lu Jianshen!
