Big Black, like a curious child, came bounding over with its short legs and wagging its tail.

His eyes were fixed on the snacks in Lu Fan's hand, his mouth was practically watering, and he kept sniffing them, looking like he was drooling with desire.

"Go away, you stupid dog, you want to eat everything, will you eat my shit?"

While laughing, Lu Fan pretended to slap Big Black, trying to shoo it away.

But Big Black couldn't understand this "eviction notice." It thought Lu Fan was playing with it, so it excitedly flicked its tongue and jumped around Lu Fan.

While Lu Fan was busy drying mushrooms, An Lan hummed a light tune, like a cheerful little bird, and with light steps, carried a bucket to fetch water from the spring.

Sunlight bathed her, outlining her beautiful figure, and her clear singing voice echoed through the woods, adding a touch of liveliness to the tranquil wilderness.

Before long, Anlan arrived at the spring.

Clear spring water gurgles out from the cracks in the rocks, sparkling under the sunlight like a string of dazzling pearls.

An Lan squatted down and gently placed the bamboo tube into the reservoir. Instantly, the bamboo tube was filled with cool and sweet spring water.

Just then, An Lan inadvertently looked up at the distant mountaintop and her eyes widened in surprise.

"Huh? Why does it look like smoke is coming from the mountaintop?"

Her heart skipped a beat, and the terrifying scene of the fire she had encountered before flashed through her mind, causing her heart to pound.

"Is it on fire again?"

The more she thought about it, the more frightened she became. Without daring to delay, she quickly picked up the bamboo tube filled with water and ran back to the shelter.

"Lu Fan, Lu Fan!"

Before An Lan even reached the entrance of the shelter, she started shouting Lu Fan's name at the top of her lungs, her voice filled with anxiety.

Hearing the shout, Lu Fan hurriedly put down the mushrooms he was holding and ran over from the drying area, looking at An Lan with a puzzled expression: "What's wrong? Why are you in such a hurry?"

There was an undeniable force in his eyes, as if to say, "You won't be able to leave me behind."

Seeing An Lan's resolute expression, Lu Fan shrugged helplessly and said with a smile, "Alright, alright, I really can't do anything with you, so let's go together. But you'd better hold on tight to me, Lightning can run very fast!"

An Lan's lips curled up into a smug smile. Like a little lady, she gracefully sat down behind Lu Fan, wrapping her arms tightly around his waist.

"Set off!"

At Lu Fan's command, Lightning shot out like an arrow, heading towards the smoking mountaintop.

An Lan closed her eyes tightly, pressed her face against Lu Fan's back, and shouted back, "Stop being so cheeky and focus on getting on our way!"

His tone carried a hint of reproach, as well as a touch of worry about the unknown.

After a difficult trek, they were finally getting closer and closer to the place where the smoke was coming from.

As they climbed the hillside, the sight before them astonished them—a hot spring was steaming in a depression at the top of the hill!

The clear spring water shimmered with a blue-green light under the sunlight, like a huge gemstone.

A thin layer of mist hangs over the water, creating a dreamlike and enchanting scene, like a fairyland that makes one want to immerse oneself in it.

"Wow, it's a hot spring!"

An Lan jumped up excitedly, all the fatigue from the journey vanishing instantly, her eyes sparkling with delight.

"I thought we were going to have another fierce battle with the fire, but it turned out to be a big surprise!"

Lu Fan also breathed a sigh of relief, a surprised smile spreading across his face. The smile was full of relief at surviving a disaster and satisfaction with the unexpected joy.

Big Black was incredibly excited, running around the hot spring and occasionally poking at the water with its paws, splashing water everywhere, having a great time, as if saying, "This place is so much fun!"

Some of them were grooming each other gently, as if they were having an intimate conversation; others were enjoying the warm spring water with their eyes closed, looking completely at ease.

Several little monkeys were frolicking and playing happily in the water, splashing up strings of sparkling water droplets, their cheerful cries seemingly telling of their joy.

"Wow, they're so cute!" An Lan exclaimed, her eyes filled with love and tenderness.

Sensing Lu Fan's amazing animal affinity, several golden monkeys actually took the initiative to approach them.

The lead golden monkey, a large one, had shiny golden fur that shimmered brilliantly in the sunlight, as if it were wearing a magnificent golden cloak.

It cautiously approached Lu Fan, tilted its head, and curiously examined him, making "squeak" sounds as if greeting him or asking about his purpose.
