Chapter Thirty-Six: The Power of the Witchcraft Potion and the Tragedy of the Fishmen.

The merman chieftain, standing atop the giant octopus monster, looked down at the scene with a cold, arrogant smile.

"Kemon, die!"

Vina, the elven chieftain, raised her greatsword and flew over.

Kemon was the name of the merfolk chieftain. Seeing Vina charging towards him menacingly, he remained unfazed. He didn't even flinch.

“You weaklings, your kind, are still not worthy of my personal attention,” Kemon said in a low voice.

Vina didn't care. Her greatsword erupted, releasing a sharp green sword light that pressed down on Kemon.

The giant octopus monster was suddenly distracted and freed one of its tentacles to block Vina's way.

"Poof," a green light flashed.

The giant octopus monster paused, a clear look of bewilderment in its eyes. The next second, its tentacles snapped off and fell into the water, gushing blood from the severed limbs.

"Roar, roar!" When the giant octopus monster finally reacted and roared, it screamed in pain. Its other tentacles also twitched wildly out of control, which disturbed the lake water and made the surface of the water within a radius of dozens of meters surge with waves.

"This weapon is quite powerful, but my precious treasure won't be so easily defeated by a weak silver-level elf." Kemon was somewhat surprised, but he wasn't too worried.

Because the war has only just begun.

The outcome is not yet clear.

With a series of "whoosh" sounds, the giant octopus monster went berserk, splitting off more than a dozen tentacles to attack Vina.

These things all look like long snakes or spears, extremely swift and terrifying.

Vina raised her greatsword and kept parrying.

Every now and then, green sword beams would erupt.

This caused damage to the tentacles.

However, each strike from the tentacles was terrifying, and they also carried water-wave blades.

With each touch of the tentacles, Vina felt immense force bearing down on her; each touch brought tremendous pressure. Her body emitted cracking, creaking sounds from within. Clearly, her flesh and blood were overloaded.

In less than five seconds, Vina was sent flying and crashed into a houseboat.

"Hahaha, the clan leader is invincible." The merman was excited to see that even the strongest Vina had been knocked away, feeling that victory was within reach.

"Huh?" Suddenly, a bronze-level merman covered his mouth, his eyes widening: "What's going on?"

He felt an intense itching sensation on his body upon contact with the water. He instinctively scratched it.

With a "ripping" sound, for some unknown reason, the resilient fish skin was easily torn, and a large amount of blood flowed out.

This was terrifying. Yet the merman felt a strange pleasure in it, and he instinctively continued scratching, tearing off large amounts of skin and flesh.

"What's going on?" More and more weak merfolk began scratching themselves.

This attracted the attention of the powerful murlocs.

"No, no, I feel so suffocated. The water seems to be suffocating me." Suddenly, a completely new change occurred. A fish-man clutched his own neck and roared violently.

His veins were bulging all over his body, and he looked like a fish dying of thirst and sunburn.

"Waaaaah, I want to get ashore! I want to leave the water!" A fishman cried out in despair.

A silver-level murloc blushed; he also felt short of breath and his skin was unbearably itchy.

And this seemed to be contagious; all the fish-men underwent this strange change.

They lost their will to continue fighting.

The war came to an abrupt end.

The scene was chilling.

Even the elves, who were prepared to die in battle, were stunned.

"What's going on?" Western Europe was dumbfounded.

"Is it the Elf God who is protecting and helping us?" the naive Ivy asked.

Lafite snapped, "Enough with the nonsense, this is a great opportunity, everyone, let's launch a counterattack!"

Since the merman has revealed a weakness, then kill him.

Otherwise, if the murlocs return to normal, they will have no hope of victory.

"Whoosh whoosh whoosh," a rain of arrows poured down, enveloping the nearby mermen.

...

"What's going on?" Even Kemon, who had been so composed just moments before, was stunned. Actually, he was also feeling suffocated, averse to water, and craving an itch. But his immense strength gave him extraordinary willpower and self-control. He endured it.

The potion, "Fishman Slayer," was used. Loya, whose presence had been barely noticeable until now, walked leisurely towards the giant octopus monster, his expression relaxed and his steps light.

Clearly, the fishman's tragic transformation was caused by his medicine.

"Unfortunately, the water area is too large, and the medicine has been diluted. Otherwise, even a Gold-level transcendent fishman wouldn't be able to withstand it."

"However, this is for the best."

"I haven't even fought a Gold-level transcendent yet in this lifetime."

"Now, we can give it a try."

Finally, Loya stood before the giant octopus monster.

[Basic Wizard Inscription: (Iron Body + Wind Acceleration) x20]

With a "boom," a strong metallic luster and a blue vortex erupted from Loya's skin.

Faintly, dozens of identical inscriptions shimmered and overlapped. This granted Loya an extraordinary boost.

With a series of "crackling sounds," Loya's body expanded by more than a meter. He was now over four meters tall, approaching five meters.

Yet, despite his enormous size, he felt incredibly light thanks to the [Primary Inscription: Wind Acceleration]. It was as if he could fly away with a single breath.

"And what the hell are you?" Kemon finally noticed Loya.

There's no way around it, Loya's outburst this time is truly terrifying.

It made him feel clearly threatened.

The giant octopus monster, though not highly intelligent, possesses a stronger animalistic instinct and senses that are felt more deeply.

He retreated dozens of meters as if facing a formidable enemy, trying to distance himself from Loya.

"Respected merman chieftain, I am Roloroya, just a fan who aspires to be the demigod wizard Loya."

Loya gave me a perfunctory introduction.

Before Kemon could react, he gripped his right claw and leaped into the air.

"Chief of the merfolk, with my body of steel stacked twenty times, what can you possibly use to stop me?"

Loya did not use Godzilla's unique fire magic; he was currently using a powerful physique enhanced purely by inscriptions.

His right fist tightened, his muscles and bones cracked, and he struck out with a bang.
