Dongsheng Shenzhou, a blessed land, Zhangyan Mountain.

Dan Qingzi was giving lectures to his disciples, enlightening them and passing on the Dharma. As a Golden Immortal cultivator, he did not establish a sect, nor did he have any master to inherit his legacy.

However, he is still a Taoist disciple because he entered the Taoism through the method of the Taoist master "Zhong Huang Laoxian".

Although you did not directly become a disciple of Huang Laoxian, you are a disciple of the one who taught you the teachings, and you are a member of that religion. This is the established rule, unless you openly announce that you have joined Buddhism or Xuanjiao.

As a Taoist disciple, the war in Jambudvīpa seemed to have nothing to do with him, and no imperial decree had ever been issued to summon him to go to Jambudvīpa to participate in the war.

Not long after, the boy hurried back and bowed to Dan Qingzi, saying, "Master, this person claims to be the Great Spiritual Officer of the Taixuan Province of the Heavenly Court. The Great Director of the Taixuan Province has sent down a great order, ordering Master to receive it."

Upon hearing this, Dan Qingzi's face darkened, and he then asked, "Did he state his intention?"

"No." The boy shook his head.

Dan Qingzi immediately stood up and straightened his robes, then said to his disciples, "You all sit here in silence and meditate on the Dharma. I will be back soon."

The disciples all responded respectfully, "Yes, Master."

Then Dan Qingzi led the boy to fly out of the cave on the blue cloud, and soon they saw the immortal official with the Taiyi Xuanxian Taoism, who was wearing a first-grade crimson immortal official robe and had a hundred heavenly soldiers lined up on his side, on the top of the mountain.

Dan Qingzi immediately stepped forward, bowed his head and said, "I am Dan Qingzi, honored to meet the Supreme God."

The immortal official nodded, then said to Dan Qingzi, "I am Huang Zhi, the Grand Spiritual Official of Taixuan Province. I have come by order of the Grand Director of Taixuan Province to summon you to Taixuan Province for assessment."

"Assessment?" Dan Qingzi was a little stunned and asked Huang Zhi, "Excuse me, Lord God, what is this assessment?"

Huang Zhi said, "The Immortal Official Assessment." Then, Huang Zhi said to Dan Qingzi, "Daoyou, please prepare quickly and follow me to Taixuandu Province."

Dan Qingzi was still a little stunned. Why was he suddenly asked to go to Taixuandu Province to take the Immortal Official Examination? And he had never thought of becoming an Immortal Official.

Huang Zhi saw that Dan Qingzi was still hesitant, so he handed the decree directly to Dan Qingzi and said, "Daoyou, you will know once you take a look at it."

Upon hearing this, Dan Qingzi immediately reached out to take the imperial edict and took a look at it. He was shocked.

There are four Dharma names signed on this edict. The top one is: 'Gou Chen Shang Gong Tian Huang Dadi', followed by: 'Dong Ji Qing Hua Dadi' and 'Zhao Dao He Zhen Dong Ling Dadi'.

Although the last Dharma name was far inferior to the previous four, it still made Danqingzi's face change slightly. It was only two very short words: "Fang Jian".

If someone had asked Dan Qingzi who Fang Jian was more than two hundred years ago, Dan Qingzi would have likely been puzzled for a moment, then asked back, "Fang Jian, who is that?"

But now if you don’t know who Fang Jian is, Dan Qingzi can only give you a piece of advice: Fellow Daoist, you’d better not practice in the Great World of Jambu.

Dan Qingzi knew that the Heavenly Court and Taoism had merged, and he also knew that 'Zhao Dao He Zhen Dong Ling Dadi' was 'Dong Ling Zhenren', one of the four great Taoist masters.

But he was not aware of Fang Jian's appointment as the director-general of Taixuandu Province, so he was so surprised when he saw this name.

However, Dan Qingzi quickly realized that since the name of Emperor Dongling was on the edict, it meant that the Taoist saints had already agreed on this matter with the Heavenly Court, so he had to go to this assessment, unless he said that he was not a Taoist disciple.

"Please wait for a moment, God. I will go and prepare it." Dan Qingzi said to Huang Zhi.

Huang Zhi nodded and said with a smile: "Daoyou, please hurry up."

Dan Qingzi also nodded, and then took the boy back to the cave.

Knowing that their master was going to take the examination for the Heavenly Official, the disciples were both surprised and curious. After all, the Heavenly Court was a truly powerful backer nowadays. If their master became an Heavenly Official, wouldn't they, the disciples, be able to get more protection?

So after Dan Qingzi arranged everything after his departure, the disciples personally escorted Dan Qingzi out of the cave and gave him all kinds of auspicious words, which made Dan Qingzi laugh and cry.

Afterwards, Dan Qingzi followed Huang Zhi all the way up to the thirty-sixth heaven, entered the East Heaven Gate, and went straight to Taixuandu Province.

Dan Qingzi was still a little nervous and restrained when he first entered the Heavenly Palace, but there were no obstacles along the way and he arrived at Taixuandu Province smoothly.

When Dan Qingzi arrived at the hall specially arranged by Fang Jian for their assessment, Dan Qingzi realized that he was not the only one here.

In this spacious and huge hall, there are twenty jade tables, and there is at least two meters of distance between each jade table.

Among them, more than ten jade tables had people sitting on them, and they were all Golden Immortal monks wearing Taoist robes.

"Fellow Daoist, you can choose a place to sit. The assessment will begin once everyone is gathered." Huang Zhi said to Dan Qingzi.

Dan Qingzi nodded, then asked, "Are all these fellow Taoists here to take the test?"
